    Can't use attachments on M4A1

If you didn't try what's mentioned above, I'd recommend uninstalling and just going home. If you did, verify files with steam. Could be that something is corrupted, but it's very unlikely.
  2. Mate, I advise you to read the thread before posting. His Majesty himself came to the thread and tried to figure out what was going on. He couldn't. He asked the community and any of the players that experienced this to demonstrate it for him. We did. Didn't help. They can't help us because they can't reproduce the problem. This means that, yes, they are aware that something is wrong. But no one in the dev team has the problem and they can't just fly to your house to fix it from your computer.

Luck is as important as skill

Your mistakes were: 1) Thinking that there are 'friendly' servers. 2) Giving a guy you didn't know so much space. If he doesn't have a mic, he should die until he buys one. Playing this game with keyboard chat is criminal. You spent 30 dollars on an alpha, you can afford a mic. 3) Thinking there's luck involved in the whole situation. There's none. It was your naivette that got you knocked out, and his not to axe you in the head a couple of times for good measure. Both clearly learned something from this.
  4. Guys, please stop trying to relate the issue to specific places or items, it clearly has no relation to anything like that. Some people were even confusing this with the memory leak last week, and they're so different (visually and conceptually) it's not even funny. Rocket already said he had no clue because they can't reproduce the problem, so it's not getting fixed for now. Our best bet is to wait for a random patch to fix the issue, or for a random patch to break it even further so more people start experiencing it and it becomes common enough to be tested by devs. Yes, I know that both options suck.

Loudspeaker/Megaphone - To increace direct chat range

Looks like a nice idea, but it could lead to pretty annyoing situations if you have 3 or 4 people with a megaphone in one server shooting at each other.
  6. Different servers use different ports, I think, so there isn't one port that will fix the problem if you open it. Pretty sure there's a thread around where someone posted the most common ports used by servers, use the search engine and you're bound to find it.

Stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Fret not, I've escaped. Just in case anyone runs into this problem again, this is how I fixed it: Joined a very high ping server, started running towards the wall as soon as I logged in, then pressed ESC and logged out while I was still running. When I logged back into a different high ping server, I started running as soon as I spawned. This got me out of the rock.
  8. I was running absentmindedly towards Cherno from Elektro while watching TV. When I turned back to the game, I had magically walked into a big rock on the side of the road. I tried everything: vaulting, running, walking, changing camera angles (wut) relogging, relogging while vaulting, rolling, relogging while rolling, etc.. I'm pretty geared, but trust me, if I could shoot myself, I would. What can I do to solve this? I'm at full health/hunger/thirst, so dying naturally will take god knows how much. Please avoid suggesting ROLL MORE RELOG MORE, it clearly won't work. The rock I'm stuck inside is pretty big.
  9. Okay, thanks for checking. I guess I'll try a clean reinstall, if it doesn't work, I'll just wait until a patch fixes it someday. If I find any other data I'll post them.
  10. Checking back in. I tested it with a friend (only 1 person, and he already caused me to have the server connection issue), he said he saw me moving just fine. I couldn't see him doing anything, but I ran back and forth and in circles and he saw me doing all those things with no delay whatsoever. Disconnected my router and connected straight through the modem. Problem persists, hasn't been improved in any way. Windows firewall's still off. One other thing I've noticed is that only certain people seem to trigger the permanent desync. I've played with around 2 or 3 people and nothing's happened, but I come close to this guy and the server dies (on my end, he's just fine). We're both on the same Teamspeak (I highly doubt that affects anything, just giving as much info as possible).
  11. I'll ask some friends to check if they see my movement when I'm having the server communication issue. As for firewall and router issues, I turned off windows firewall and my router has no firewall. Never had a router issue in my life so far, but I'll try connecting my computer directly to the modem to see if that fixes the problem. I'll post the results when I've done both.
  12. I've gotten ghosted like crazy over the past few days, nothing's changed on my end. I'm cooped up at someplace with shots firing around me, I can't go out the front door because it's clear suicide, so I lean out a window or door and return fire. After a while no one's shooting. Great! He's either 1) ghosting me or 2) just there lying in wait. I'll go outside and take my chances. Well, I got shot in the face. Rewind. I'll stay there and wait for some more time. Well, I got shot in the back. All of this assuming I'm fighting ONE person. If you've been on the server for a while, you can just log out and log back in without waiting too much. So no, it hasn't been fixed. It's more difficult, or more precisely, more situational, but it's still very doable and very much a threat to the wellbeing of any character.
  13. I'm sorry, you think combat logging and ghosting are fixed now? That's hilarious.
  14. The problem is pretty straightforward in my case. If I get together with 1 or 2 guys, I have no issues. If I get together with 3 people or more, I get permanent 100k desync regardless of the server we're in. I can't interact with the server at all, having a 20-30 seconds-ish delay whenever I attempt an action such as looting a corpse or dropping an item. Sometimes I'll see people acting normally within a 3 second window of logging in, but then the desync kicks in and I see them permanently frozen in the middle of whatever they were doing, as if my connection had dropped altogether. This happens to some of the people I play with, but not to the vast majority of them, and there isn't any link I can think of. I cannot hear shots when I'm desyncing, and the only animations I see are people that got frozen in place doing something in from point of view, like people doing the running animation on the spot. I have to play solo or with one mate at most because of this. I understand this is an alpha (as in, it's amazing that it's even playable) so if you want me to do more tests or be more specific about the problem please ask. Edit: Like the above poster, my character can move just fine when I'm desyncing, but that's about it. I don't see other people's movements and I can't interact with items (or at least, interact with them without waiting 30 seconds each time I do something)
