I'm beginning to notice how monotonous this forum is becoming. Anyone else think the Day-Z community is running out of things to talk about? When was the last time a significant update has happened? We kind of got persistence...I think? The whole temperature thing worked for a few days...right? The last "big one" I remember was the ability to make a camp fire and cook meat. Christ, seems like a lifetime ago. We spawn, we know what buildings to find specific items, we get them, we shoot at each other, we die. I know platoon "ALPHER" is assembling for formation...but I mean...come on. WTF is going on with this game?! Every time an update happens the devs act like we should be honored to experience such hard work and dedication. Yet every time I download an update and play for a few days I can't help but think... "so what?" Then you begin to realize that you have to wait another MONTH or so for something else to happen. "Come back when its DONEEE!!!!" they say. The progress of this game is mind numbing. When in the world is the final version of this supposed to drop? Can you even fathom this?

What in the hell has happened to the hardcore community? I'm trying to play some DayZ at 8 PM on a Friday night and the best 1st person only server I can get is 10/40. I remember back when the ZaP servers were the hot thing (which was about 2 months ago) you couldn't get into them without attempting to join for at least 5 minutes. Why is no one playing hardcore anymore? Have the COD kids officially taken over?

You think I'm not aware that COD is in first person? I'm saying that COD kids like 3rd person in this game particularly because its EASIER. Easier to kill, easier to find loot, easier to spot people, more entertaining to see your character. Little kids need quick and fast entertainment, they search for the easiest route. I'm going to assume you guys are all about that 3rd person stuff, right?

75 slot servers...and still NO ONE is inland. What the hell is your fascination with Berezino and the North East? Just explore the map for once, live on the land and respectfully earn your gear. Stop being lazy and climb a few hills, run in the middle of nowhere until you see a building or town to explore. Look I get it, the apartments in Berezino are such a COOL and AWESOME spot to snipe from! All those hoards of bambi's you can kill, so satisfying..... I promise you, when you run into someone inland in some small town....the bond is a lot stronger.

I keep getting a "joining game" message when I try and connect instead of the "server full". Pretty annoying.

For some reason I can't the game to recognize that I want to play on experimental, h'm. 75 man servers, best news I have heard in awhile.

It baffles me to think that this is NOT the direction some people want the game to go.

Its been 3 days and I haven't seen one person. My character isn't in the north east. We need bigger servers.

Does anyone think it's time shit got REAL in this game? Before I go on, I understand it's alpha just as much as everyone else does. We need 70-80 man servers. 40 doesn't cut it, never will. Drastically reducing the amount of food that spawns? Yes. Making weapons so rare that we respect those who have them? Absolutely. I understand we are essentially testing things out...but isn't it about time we got a taste of how this game is intended to be? When was the last time you heard of someone dying of starvation? I feel like every update there is more and more shit to collect. Anyone who has the slightest bit of knowledge on how this game works can get fully gears in 30-45 minutes. What if people killed each other not to see if they have the latest and greatest piece of gear...but killed each other for food? People killing each other only because it is a dire situation, because ammo is so scarce or their well being and safety is seriously threatened. I'm sure this is the vision many other people have as well and the game is clearly not going in this direction. Maybe it's impossible to achieve this before private hives are introduced. Things are just getting out of hand now, too much of everything. Why can't we finally experience survival? It's time to weed out the weak.

I got on last night for some reason. Realized my character had a weapon and was healthy. Started running around the woods, snailed my way up a few hills and said to myself "why the fuck am I play this game?" It has become so unbelievably easy and boring, the whole thrill of running around for HOURS hoping to meet one or two players has diminished.

I spawned above Berezino, still wet behind the ears with a flash light and battery. I come up to the little down above the hill to try and find some food and water and quickly noticed it has already been picked through. I hear a voice fairly close, "hey". I turn around to see a fully geared player with every attachment on his m-4. "Go ahead, shoot me" I say. "I'm friendly man", he replies. I talk to him for a little bit to try and feel him out. I'm beginning to determine that he really is a friendly player just looking to lend a hand. He ends up pulling out one of the big tactical vests out of his back pack and told me to have it. From this point on we talk for about 10 minutes and end up exchanging steam ID's. We part ways because he was meeting friends on a 3rd person server. Later that night I get a message from Jesus. He is wondering where I am and if I wanted to meet up. I gladly give him my coordinates and explain to him that I have a few friends with me. Within 30 seconds, a player appears right in front of us. "Jesus"? "Hey man, whats up" It baffles me how he knew where my group exactly was but for some reason I didn't really think much into it. He then says "There is a guy right above the hill near you guys looking to snipe you". My friends and I panic and get behind cover. He nonchalantly says "do you want me to kill him"? I reply "I mean...yeah, don't you need our help, would you like me to back you up in case things get hot"? "No thanks" he replies. Within 15 seconds he messages me on steam "come up the hill". I figured he had a group of guys up there with him ready to rain fire on us. I decide to bite the bullet and go up the hill. Here lies the dead sniper. He then proceeds to throw 2 fully decked out m4's on the ground for my friend and I along with about 8 60 round mags. I'm blown away. I'm confused yet ecstatic to receive such rare gear in a moments notice. He then says "hey, there's 2 guys coming up to the town about 2 miles out, you want me to go talk to them"? "U'm, sure"? BAM, he disappears and that's when we finally realized, this guy is a real deal hacker. We ran with him for about 3 hours, seeing people 10 minutes before they saw us, demolishing anything that stood in our path. I just want to let you know these types of guys exist. I'm sure you all know there are hackers, but seeing where everyone is on the map? I thought it was cool at first but now I don't want to play the game anymore. I may have been the first guy to run into a friendly hacker.

Why is it my responsibility to make sure hackers get taken care of? You people on this forum will jump down anyone's throat about ANYTHING. Is BattleEye in alpha too?

Didn't even think about the hackers finding persistent look. That's pretty bad...

I wouldn't want to report him or anything like that, it's just not my style. I just want to let everyone know that this shit is legit. All the hours you spend looting and gaining gear can be gone if you enter the wrong town with the wrong hacker in it. Very frustrating in this game.

I am in no way looking for or hoping for a some sort of Call of Duty Day Z death match game. 40 players is just simply not enough for the magnitude of the map. They are currently building more and more cities up north, only expanding this already enormous map. Think about it, 40 people? Don't you want want to be nervous to run into some random town somewhere? Having to expect to see someone anywhere at anytime? I could run around the middle area of the DayZ map for days and not see a single soul. I feel like if there were more players, the new spawns would notice that there is nothing for them in places like Berezino and they would be force to eventually travel somewhere else to stay alive. Reducing food and weapon spawns would also help with this. If you honestly think that 40 players is the max amount of slots a server should have in this game, I think you've been spending too much time camping the apartments in Berezino.
