I have a pristine ACOG and Optic on Regular and a pristine Optic on Hardcore that I'd trade. I don't need anything on Regular except maybe a Press Vest or something, but on Hardcore I need a Mosin M44 Compensator. This all depends on whether or not the servers sort themselves out, though.

Every time you log in you're in a different starting location. I'd just not play at all until it sorts itself out.

It's funny listening to other people who think their way of playing the game is the right way. I'm just stating facts. I've never told people how to play. Consider DayZ with friendly-fire disabled. ... ... ... Now that that's sunk in, I hope you realize how fucking boring the game would be. There are what, a handful of zombies in the towns after a server restart? Maybe two handfuls in the cities? You don't even need to attack zombies. I've mentioned before that I've had half a dozen zombies following me around a village while I looted the houses. They were following me the entire time in all of their clipping-through-walls, waiting-two-seconds-before-they-swing-at-you glory. Just keep strafing left and right around them and they cannot hit you. THE ONLY THING THAT WILL KEEP A GAME LIKE DAYZ INTERESTING IS THE POTENTIAL PLAYER-VERSUS-PLAYER COMBAT. Even after vehicles. Even after bases. It doesn't matter. Vehicles will allow you to kill more players faster, if you so choose. Bases will allow you to quickly restock your character after a death. OP is correct. The adrenaline rush comes from the potential of other people killing you. /thread

I used to do this, but not being able to sprint for a few days effectively ended that tenure for me. Also, the fact that I lost my 100% pristine M4A1 with ACOG/bayonet/flashlight via server restart a few seconds after I dropped it also helped change my mind. ;d

No, trying to kill someone who is as good or better than you at the game is harder than running into combat hoping that you make it to some random dude and bandaging him.

Yeah, hit-boxes are currently terrible when you're moving around in combat. It's better just to blaze at their chest and hope for the best. For the guy(s) calling me a dick, you're right. I am a dick. Everyone who dies on these forums dies via h4x. No one gets out-shot or out-maneuvered. That'd be sorcery. As far as hacks go, do some research. I'm not going to link to hacks on these forums, but currently available hacks do not include god-mode/invincibility. These "hackers" are just script-kiddies using Microsoft Visual Studio to exploit lag. Expect to see: i) Short-range teleports ii) Players that know where you are via ESP (extra sensory perception, a little red box that surrounds your player on their screen) iii) Players that know where you are via radar (just like a radar you'd have in Call of Duty or Counter-Strike) iv) Players that know where you are at night as they can force daylight v) Aimbot There isn't a god-mode/invincibility hack. If anything, they were just lagging around your screen and you couldn't hit them. P.S: Also, your death is your own fault. If you had more than ample warning someone was blatantly hacking in your vicinity and you still stayed on that server, you're not very bright and deserved the death.

It doesn't take me 5+ seconds to log in and equip my gun, either. I think it's time you got a new ISP. As soon as you hear a "chik-chik" noise, turn and shoot. There's currently no cheat that gives you god mode, so I'm putting money on the fact that: i) Didn't happen. ii) If it did happen, exaggerating like a boss. iii) Your aim is bad and you missed them.

1) The FNX does more damage than what? The Magnum? Uh, no... 2) The shotgun is far from amazing. Seriously, you're better off with a Mosin and no scope. 3) There aren't many instances where you need a Mosin with a Long Range Scope unless you're trolling. I, personally, only use the Mosin and Long Range Scope when I'm killing server hoppers at an airstrip/field or sitting on top of a building in Chernogorsk sniping kitted kids (I don't shoot the new spawns that run through), but I'm a huge troll/bandit and that's not for everyone. Going from town to town gathering, the M4A1 is definitely superior, especially when you manage to find a worn or better ACOG and/or Optic sight. Also, using the M4A1, there's no need to carry a pistol so you save yourself a lot of inventory space.

I've been playing religiously every day since I finished work two weeks ago (I go back in two more weeks for a month straight, boo!) and I've never bothered to ask around to figure out how to duplicate stuff. I've heard about it, yeah, but who in the fuck actually bothers with that stuff?
