Walking should make 75% less noise. At this point in the game it's virtually impossible to sneak up on other people/be snuck up on. Not realistic. -
For the sake of the crying masses, can we get a 1,000 slot server with friendly fire disabled? Killers like myself would avoid it because no killing, and they could all live happily ever after having their peace walks and axing zombies until the end of DayZ.

You're always such a positive, helpful poster. Great sense of humor, too. /leshitloadofsarcasm I wish there was a way to take beans from posts. Anyway Blissful, alpha or not, having your character reset is always cause for much cursing in my home. The fact that it's an alpha doesn't make it any less bearable. I guess I just haven't achieved condescending fanboy status yet.

While I respect your opinion, I really feel like any identifying items excluding certain types of clothing (e.g: you and your buddies run around in blue checked shirts and black motorcycle helmets) would detract from the game. That would help you in identifying your group members without adding another layer of silliness to the game. Also, I don't want people to know my intentions on sight, nor do I want to know theirs. That is the most fun part of the game, trying to figure out what my potential assailant's intentions are. Again, no offense intended, but in my opinion this is a bad (and already suggest innumerable times) idea.

Using a controller isn't going to help input lag. No amount of mastery is going to supersede the lag gods.

DayZ's controls are the same as 90% of the shooters out there. I don't understand why so many people claim the controls are so hard to master. The newer generation of first-person shooters just added Z, X, C for your body position and Q, E for leaning around corners. The rest is pretty cookie-cutter.

If the current mouse configuration is working as intended, that's laughable. It's the least realistic movement you could possibly imagine. I don't know if you've ever shot a gun, but if you have, there's no plausible argument for the current implementation of "shooting". At the very least, the mouse acceleration needs to be addressed as soon as possible.
