Just don't kill that cute blonde medic. Or Guppy. That's all I ask.

When you die, you're supposed to start as someone new. If they follow the mod's blueprint, you can just run back to your camp and restock. I don't really agree with that, as this is a survival game and eventually people will have their tents so full of items it'll negate the entire point of surviving. I think when you die, your tent should be randomly placed within a 5km² area of its initial location. Your base should be considered abandoned and access should only come from somehow smashing the doors down.

I also prefer the SKS and Mosin. I find they fit the environment a lot better, and in the right person's hands can be just as effective. The M4A1, when fully kitted, is very versatile and good for every situation except long range. Defending buildings, storming buildings, picking people off mid-range, being able to spray an area to cover a buddy moving across a doorway, etc. I'll take a Mosin every time, though. ;3

I generally see people go down in 2-4 shots. I think the M4A1 is fine; it's the best gun available in its current implementation (as it should be).

When there are only 2 players on the server...
Grimey Rick replied to Irish.'s topic in General Discussion
I was talking to him on direct communication. I explained to him I wasn't a bandit or anything, and was just bored and looking to help other people. He replied with, "Man, you know how it is, I had to try!" We both laughed, and I guarded him until he came to, then he left. -
Every evening before logging out, my characters neatly put away their equipment to maintain just a little bit of order in this crazy world. Anything else would be... uncivilized.

I rarely kill people these days, so I'd just let him go. I actually camped a jail in NEAF today and helped out a handful of new spawns over the span of an hour or so. One tried to punch me, so I knocked him out and put rice and a canteen in his backpack. -
Either way, if you miss you're fscked, gun or crossbow. I can only imagine how horrible an experience trying to hit someone zig-zagging in this game would be with a bolt when it's hard enough hitting them with a bullet.

Wherever. We can agree on a town (I'm currently close to Elektro) and I'll drop the gun/attachments/ammo in a building of your choice for you to collect. I used to do face-to-face trades until I was swung upon one too many times. :T thnaxs mna

I was going to post the exact same thing. If you see a guy and pull the trigger, do they think he's going to react in a split second and deflect the bullet with his ninja-like reflexes because he heard the shot? i lol'd

Huh? No, I saw that I could stack cans, so it gave me the idea of stacking my gear up for a screenshot. -
Never heard that before. Do you have a link to verify that, by any chance?

ITT: People pointing out obvious flaws in the system and people feeling the need to defend said flawed system for some unknown reason. Flawed system is flawed until it's not flawed.

I liked the line so much, I made it my member title above my avatar. ;D

It's been a fortnight since we did battle over some trivial odds and ends on the Balota airstrip. Out of respect for you, I thought your last words should be broadcast to whom it may concern. I want you to know that I will neither forget you, nor our battle. You had me pinned down in a barracks, scaring the living shit out of me as bullet after bullet rang just inches above my head. Your fatal mistake was overextending yourself, and my ability to count to ten. After that tenth 7.62mm round stopped short at the door in front of me, I charged from my place of refuge like a bat out of hell, fixated on stopping short your reign of terror. Several tense seconds later, you were looking at the flowers à la Lizzie. Take solace in knowing that your two friends who attempted to avenge you are now also in an eternal slumber. Perhaps you will meet them again somewhere in the great beyond. Sincerely, Grand Duke Richard of Grimes

Which is what everyone does anyway. The only difference is he's paying $70+US/month for it, we're not. ITT: Hypocrites. -
Now let's compare apples and oranges.

The drives themselves are fine when they work, it's the customer service and firmware that's terrible. I'd be interested in hearing your Samsung horror story. (;

Prebuilt pc for under $800 MAX budget that will run dayz at 30fps lowest(in cities)

That video card has a lot of noted problems. I'd avoid it. I'll believe that when I see it. Cities and towns are currently terribly optimized, giving even the strongest systems awful frame rates. -
Of course you can have issues with any SSD. You'll just have more issues with OCZ and Corsair, that's all. Awful customer service when you get a DOA unit (which is a lot more common than it should be), slow firmware updates (from OCZ especially, if you get an update at all). Both Samsung and Intel are noted for their quality drives. Everything Samsung makes seems to be great. Their RAM is probably the best RAM you can get. I picked up some dirt cheap Samsung RAM off Newegg recently for my wife's computer and it's pushing 7-7-7-21-1T at 1600MHz/1.45v. The same RAM also did 9-10-9-24-1T at 2130MHz/1.53v. The Samsung drive she's been using for years now is still running strong. When I first ordered my OCZ Vertex 3 SSDs, I had two of them arrive DOA twice. I almost lost my mind on the chick from OCZ customer service. She tried to tell me it was because I was using them in the same computer. I was like, WTF? After that, never OCZ again. Corsair seems to make great PSUs (besides the DOA AX1200 I received), but their Force series sucked some serious ass when they first launched. I can't attest to the newer series, but I had problems with them early on. Anyway, OP, in my experience, you're better off going with Intel or Samsung.

I've already done this. Old news.
