I carried one around Elektrozavodsk for a month and didn't hear anything. The only time I've successfully used one was with me and a friend. Afterwards we tossed them. Because Skype. But yeah, on the off chance you had someone pick up it'd be kind of neat.

They spawn in fire stations often, even now. They're just useless because of third party voice communication.

There was a guy on the forums earlier claiming he was banned for loading some hook for another single player game he had. Maybe that's what happened. Although, as far as I know, BattlEye only scans your actual game folders. I don't know if it scans active processes like Warden and VAC do.

Cool. On the experimental servers the tents are usually looted within an hour. There are definitely fewer people going to SWAF now, but there are definitely more going there than NWAF. NWAF, the Sobors, Vybor, Lopatino and Grishino are ghost towns now. If we ditched the military tents at Balota and sprinkled spawn locations all along the coast from Kamenka to Svetlojarsk I feel we'd have much better player distribution.

I was a CAL admin for a few years back in the heyday. If VAC can erroneously ban someone that isn't cheating, I'm pretty sure BattlEye can too. (; I'm not defending the OP, I'm just saying it's definitely possible.

I've been hovering back and forth between SWAF and NWAF the last few days, and have seen entirely too few people near NWAF. There aren't a whole lot at SWAF either, but definitely more. I know it's been brought up before, but I think NWAF needs to remain the king of military loot. I don't see the point of having military tents at Balota other than to deter people from running to NWAF and looting the places along the way. I feel that if they reinstated the Kamenka/Balota spawns as well as sprinkling a few here and there between Chernogorsk and Elektrozavodsk, it'd spread us around the map a bit more and keep NWAF as the go-to-place for military loot. I like playing inland for many reason, but I find myself being forced to head to the coast for any kind of player interaction in this multiplayer game.

Anyone else notice this? I can join a server when it's half full, but by the time it's full it's laggin' like an 'ooker. This has happened on numerous occasions now. Popular servers like ZombZ are unplayable for me lately.

ONLY eleven times in five and a half years? Jesus dude, you were knocked out twice per year. I've taken jiu-jitsu since I was in first grade (29 now) and while it's not a striking martial art, I follow it and other martial arts very closely and am a huge fan of MMA. Are you talking actual knockouts, or technical knockouts? If I was knocked out that often, I'd be taking a long break. >.>

Thanks for the detailed explanation that the more processes a server is handling, the more lag is created. I hadn't realized that. /sarcasm The point of the thread is that they weren't like this before. This is new within the last few days. I was asking if anyone else had noticed this, not looking for someone to tell me "dat da moar kinnektinz on a servar teh mor lagz!!". I think we all know by the time we hit junior high how bandwidth works.

Unfounded, ignorant comment. The servers never used to lag like this. They're borderline unplayable now, and it seems to be hit and miss. Sometimes they're "fine", other times the same server seems to take 30+ seconds to process you trying to eat food.

My hardcore character has been alive for a long time now. I dunno how long, but I can't remember the last time I died. It's gotta be encroaching on a couple of months. She's still sporting the pre-patch gas mask/ballistic helmet combo that so many people love to hate. I've been skulking around NWAF sniping people tonight, and for the first time in a long time, I've been paranoid as hell. I feel like every pine tree I use for cover has someone in it. I feel every bush I duck behind leaves me completely exposed. I feel like I have a massive, glowing aura emanating from me as I sneak about. So far tonight I've got three kills. I don't need anything, I'm hunting purely for sport; I don't even loot their bodies. But I gotta say, I'm super freaked out. What's wrong with me? I'm not normally like this, lol. :3

Care to elaborate? Hunting at airfields is great fun. It's not like I'm out killing fresh spawns on the coast. I know the odds of someone being everywhere I go are very slight. I generally don't feel like this. I PVP very aggressively and without pause most of the time. But for some reason, I really don't want my hardcore character to die. She's been alive for so long. I don't care about her gear, I can replace that. There's just a little bit of sentimental value at this point.

The M68 and RV1 red dots are garbage in my opinion. If I can't find a BUIS I don't use anything. For me: BUIS > no attachment > red dots. Obviously the ACOG is a necessity for mid-range shots. I keep one in my bag at all times.

Okay, so I went to play DayZ Epoch tonight, and I keep getting error messages when trying to connect: I haven't changed any settings at all in my DayZCommander. It's always worked fine. I did notice, however, that my Arma 2 version seems to be newer than the "current release". Mine is v1.63, and the "current release" is 1.62. Is this what's causing the issue? I am confused. This was a pain in the ass to get working after my last format, and I don't want to go through all of the possible problems all over again. I just want it to work. I am attaching pictures of all of my DayZCommander settings below: Any help sorting this out would be greatly appreciated. EDIT: This is the error message I get when I choose to update the Arma 2 version in DayZCommander:

You can drop the piece of clothing containing the glitched item and put it back on. That'll fix it.
