Better policing, better parenting, better education, and changing the way women are depicted in the media are just a few things that need to happen before rape will ever decline. This is off topic, but how exactly is a guy (or girl) carrying around a sign reading, "MEN CAN STOP RAPE," helping anything? Does the guy grab the girl off the street, drag her to an alley, tear off her clothes and then think about the sign he saw earlier that day? Are the shrieks and wails of terror not enough of an indication that it might be a bad idea? Lol... Back on topic, I don't really care what the character models look like. My wife played a female troll in World of Warcraft for years, so I'm completely numb to ugly character models.

Whilst running up the stairs in Novodmitrovsk's tower, my Hardcore character of seven months apparently tripped and broke every bone in her body on the way down. She was a lovely woman; beautiful, smart, funny -- the kind of gal every guy is looking for. However, just like every seemingly perfect gal in the universe, she had a flaw: ragged, asthmatic breathing after running a handful of paces. Jesus Christ. I've never had to endure such torture in a video game. Torn between killing her off to save my eardrums or letting her live to continue her legacy, every time I logged on to DayZ, never before had I been faced with such a juxtaposition. When she was created, females still used male sound effects. While somewhat strange, it worked. Oh well. She's gone now. Countless bambis tortured, headshots delivered at airfields via Mosin, and peaches consumed, I will miss her. May she rest in peace. <3

It really makes no difference either way; what exactly is the problem? New players benefit from it, it actually gives value to the map, and it doesn't affect veterans at all. I still wouldn't pick one up. However, if it marks enemies, then, yeah, there's an issue.

I have a 100mbps connection and if I refresh two or three times in a minute or so it'll completely brick my internet for a five minute period. I was talking to my ISP about it and a tech had me replicate the problem while on the phone. He was amazed at the strain that was put on the modem.

Agreed. I don't understand this misconception that the M4A1 is inaccurate. I've gotten most of my kills with an M4A1 in the first few months of the alpha. You want a horribly inaccurate gun? Try killing someone at 50m with any pistol or a submachine gun. Record a video and post it here.

No one on YouTube plays DayZ with that playstyle because it's boring and completely unchallenging. Most people just want to watch people getting blown away. Personally, I find watching PVP in this buggy mess of a game just as boring. That being said, most people on YouTube are bad. DayZ streaming and YouTube channels are a plague. Whatever happened to the good old days when you'd watch someone on YouTube who was actually good? Fatal1ty (CS, Q3, CoD), Ksharp (CS), HeatoN (CS), FlaSh (SC1/SC2), etc. These were players worth watching. They were the very best at their sport. You could improve your game (whatever that may be) by watching them. With the inception of YouTube/Twitch.tv, everyone feels they should be on the internet. It's so irritating when YouTube recommends I watch some complete newbie with 50 hours of DayZ Standalone gameplay struggling to figure out how to fix his broken leg in the middle of a wall-peeking fuckfest in Berezino. People like Sacriel aren't much better; playing DayZ like you'd play Arma against complete newbies calling out things like, "CONFIRMED KILL, HEADSHOT, TETRIS," with a K:D tracker at the top-right of the screen is just as bad. Once this game gains some ground as far as barricading, persistent storage, and perhaps vehicles, it might be entertaining to watch someone play it. In the meantime, DayZ is very much like golf; boring to watch, fun to play.

That case looks like the Corsair 800D I used for a friend's build. Very roomy. His build was similar to yours: custom EK loop, lots of LED lights and other shiny things. It looked pretty cool when we (I) were (was) done. ;3 At the end of the day, you go with what works for you. I built my computer desk many years back and it doesn't really allow for much visual of my tower, so I don't bother with the interior aesthetics.

Nope, 5.2GHz on air for more than three years straight. The Thermalright Silver Arrow is beast. My cable management is for air flow, not looks. ;3 The case is a SilverStone FT02B-W. The motherboard is flipped 90º so that all of the hot air is pushed out of the top by three 140mm fans, plus some 120mm Scythe GT-15s. The cards are huge too, so it looks smaller than it is. 28x14cm each.

I'm looking to garner results on whether or not players want to see the Gas Mask/Ballistic Helmet combination reintroduced into DayZ. There are many real-world examples of this combination in use. From what I understand, all masks (Dallas/Wolf/Hoxton/Gas) used in conjunction with the Ballistic/Motorcycle Helmet were disabled due to issues with model clipping. While I can appreciate this, hats like the Cowboy Hat, Beret, Baseball Cap, Boonie Hat and Flat Cap all clip just as badly, if not worse than the aforementioned Helmets (try equipping a Dallas Mask with a Cowboy Hat for clarification). This may have been a temporary removal with the intent of fixing the clipping at a later date, but if it was, I haven't been able to find anything pertaining to its potential reintegration. I, personally, feel that the combination added a certain level of realism. Seeing someone wearing a Gas Mask and Ballistic Helmet with other military gear usually meant that they were at the very least a fairly competent survivor and would possess better-than-average gear. This would deter some players, and attract others. Note how minimal the clipping is using the Ballistic Helmet in conjunction with the Gas Mask: *** I would ask that before casting your vote, try to do so based solely on whether or not you feel the removal made sense in the DayZ world, not because you had a bad experience with a bandit who was donning the combination or because you yourself tend to dress only in civilian attire. There's a 64 player passworded server that pops up in my server list from time to time. It's on stable branch. Some .uk server. As far as not communicating before shooting people, lately I've been making my victims endure my impressions of various celebrities while leaving a bottle of disinfectant in the middle of the room. If they can't make it through my half hour presentation, they're perfectly welcome to guzzle it. The alternative is attacking me and being riddled with bullets. I was always a fan of "choose your own adventure" books as a child, so I like to give my victims choices.
