That sounds like a perfect case of desync. I've been in the room with friends who can't see me. They can't even tell when I punch them until they go unconscious. It's aggravating as fuck and the main reason I try to avoid close quarters combat. DayZ has a long way to go.

Man, a lot of jerks in this thread. This guy is trying to do something halfway decent and he's being picked at for calling 1st Person servers by their original (for the first eight months the game was released) name. I love whatever makes this game harder. If you can't deal with the new body temperature system, you're bad. This is only the first of much more difficult mechanics to be implemented, so strap yourselves in, kids.

Keep in mind that this is a bug and not spawn location in the normal rotation. However, I can get a Vybor spawn 100% of the time using this method: Join a 30 slot server (doesn't seem to work on 40 slot servers in this manner) Become unconscious, not dead! Click "Respawn" Once the countdown is initiated, continue clicking "Respawn". This will start multiple countdowns. If you've done it right, after your spawn timer has ticked down, you should be presented with "You are dead." Disconnect from the server at this time. Connect to the same server. The timer should start ticking down again automatically with the same "You are dead" screen appearing afterwards. Reconnect one more time and you should spawn in Vybor with no clothes.

Spawned in Chernogorsk on a fresh server with one other person. Ran to the fire station. Took heavy AKM fire. Snatched a fire axe on my way out. Ran around like a retard. Axed the guy when he was reloading. Felt good about myself. Went AFK to poop while crouched in a bush along the main road. Came back just as another geared guy runs by me. (The server is now 3/40.) Shoot him in the back. Random is random.

It's almost impossible to hit a player with a one-handed melee weapon unless they're standing still. With a two-handed weapon you can at least run around and attempt to be elusive. Same here. My buddy hit me in the chest a handful of times before it affected me. It's one or two hits to the head, but how often does a player stand still long enough to effectively aim at their head?

If you have an axe on you, it's better versus zeds in every situation... why would you even use the stun baton?

I attempt to kill on sight with only my fists, if necessary. Momma always said the best friends don't talk, they listen. ;)

Why would we want to watch you play a game you just started? Are you a celebrity? Are you going to pay us? Are you amazing at the game? If anything, you should watch me play. I'm amazing, have 1,336 (almost 1337!) hours logged, am a celebrity in Afghanistan, and will pay with hugs 'n' kisses. Oh wait, I don't seek attention via Twitch. ;D

Uh, I'm the biggest DayZ cynic you'll ever meet, and even I will admit this patch has been a huge improvement. There are a few glitches here and there, but that's obviously to be expected as it's still a shell of a game. Zombies bug through a door here and there, but so far I've been able to lock dozens of them inside barracks rooms. They don't hit you after they die anymore, they're a lot easier to hit with melee weapons, and breaking line of sight continues to become more intuitive. I honestly think you're just bitching to see your name on the internet.

Or, just get rid of it. I still feel that one city of tents is more than enough for the map. ;)
