Killing on sight does not make you a troll. Holy cow, what a bunch of babies. Even if a cheater kills you, so what? It's annoying, but it's gonna happen eventually anyway. What's the problem, you have to go find more equipment? That's the entire point of the game. Collecting stuff. If anything, blame BattlEye for being ten steps behind the cheaters and yourself for wanting to play a video game with assault rifles and shotguns where everyone lives in harmony.

Then don't play a game populated mostly by people who shoot what they see. Also, don't try to justify being a coward because you don't feel that other people are playing the game incorrectly.

Sound logic. Did you say this all heavy of breath to yourself as you typed it? There are certain things you don't do in DayZ, and combat logging is very near the top of the list. DON'T COMBAT LOG. Some might think I'm being dramatic, but I don't care. I've wasted many hours of my life waiting for someone to make a mistake after pinning them down, only to find they logged out the moment they took fire. That's equivalent to the guy in the war movies that ducks and covers his head in the trench while his friend is slowly dying ten feet from him, crying for his help. I wouldn't care if the realism was SHATTERED when it comes to combat logging by announcing that someone near you has logged out while taking fire as an admin message before striking them down with a bolt of lightning. Don't combat log. Ever. Die with honor.

Title. They used to be fairly common at the random helicopter crash sites. Looted twenty or so now since the hotfix and haven't seen one.

Then go search jails and barracks. They spawn a lot of 20rnd boxes of 5.56 as well as 30rnd AK101 magazines. ;) As for the helicopter crashes, we found one just last night between Veresnik military base and north-west airfield. It mostly spawned glowsticks, some sunglasses and a couple of M4A1 magazines. Oh, and an FNX. Nothing noteworthy. I really want that fucking Balaclava! I looted one from a guy in Vybor a week or so ago and then died myself to an unfortunate mishap with the firstation in north-west airfield twenty minutes later.

I think you need to delve a little deeper into the inside joke I was poking at before you go running to Twitter for information. The initial claim of them being called zombies or infected wasn't mine, it was my dear friend Caboose187's. I've seen them referred to as both zombies and infected pertaining to DayZ. I was merely making light of a past debate. Is that enough elaboration to satiate your curiosity? ;)

I find you have to clear at least one 2x2 section in your inventory and stand near the tree you were chopping for a few seconds after it goes down; I've noticed lag in the transmission from the nether to my inventory from time to time.

They've saved many dozens of hapless victims I've engaged in the last few days. I put down three guys with the Mosin from ~500m only to wonder why the third guy kept sliding down the airfield. The server had reset like five minutes before. I was pissed. >:[

You mean infected? They're not zombies. You've even argued as much a half dozen times in the odd thread. And no, loot respawn wasn't on the table when the 100 player experimental server was up, nor did it respawn infected. BUT IT WAS SO MUCH MORE FUN, and ran just as well as current 40 player servers with zombies. And since loot respawn is currently broken, I'd trade the terrible... zinfecties... for 60 more players any day of the week. I've never had so much fun playing DayZ.

There's really nothing wrong with server hopping. I used to have a holier than thou attitude regarding hopping, but now I don't give two shits. If randomly spawning loot was working, I might feel differently. What's your argument against server hopping? Not hopping doesn't make the game any harder. If you like blindly searching through HUNDREDS of the same buildings scattered around all of these "new towns" that don't spawn anything, then power to you. Log houses, raised red/green houses, and a plethora of other buildings STILL don't spawn SHIT. I'm not wasting my time that I could be spending stalking people around airfields actually, y'know, having fun, instead running around Chernarus following a route for two hours I've taken a zillion times that will have the same end result as me hopping three servers in fifteen minutes. This game isn't hard yet. Only the PVP is entertaining. If you're new enough to the game that figuring out how to survive is still entertaining to you, then you haven't yet earned the right to judge people who are bored senseless with everything besides the PVP and choose to hop to partake in more of it, faster. I'm willing to wager the people who bought this game for open world PVP are in the majority, so remember that the next time you all bitch about us. ;)

I only read the OP, but how are you going to skin and quarter what you hunt? You can't do that with an axe. ;) Also, this style of surviving becomes just as boring as searching the odd house. Even more so, really. Every house is like a potential miniature lottery. :D

Strange, I've been using a black Tactical Shirt explicitly since .49 hit. Haven't been wet at all. The wife wears an olive one.

That happened to me, my temperature was stuck at 37.7•C. I took off all my clothes and sat in water up to my neck. It SLOWLY fell back down to normal, but it took a while.
