I disagree OP. This game needs to focus on cheaters/exploiters and upping the difficulty of survival. Wait... maybe that's their plan... maybe the cheaters are like Agents, sent here to make the game harder... -
I'd rather DayZ use our Steam name, and I'd take it a step further: just like typing "status" in your Source console, have it display people's Steam IDs. What's it really going to harm? At the very least, it could make it slightly easier to identify cheaters/griefers. I don't really understand why you have to be anonymous in this game. Who cares about stream sniping? As far as harassment goes, if you block someone on Steam, how are they going to find what server you're on? Server hop? That seems unlikely. :huh:

Not at all what he asked for, so unless you're his parent/guardian, mind your own damn business. @OP: That computer will run DayZ perfectly fine. Like a guy above mentioned, Nvidia seems to play nicer with most titles these days. I've always been an Nvidia fanboi though, so take that for what it's worth. ;3 I might go for a 500GB HDD and try to squeeze a little more money into my budget to invest in a ~200GB SSD.

Sweet, good to know the actual times that they go down for maintenance. Thanks guy whose name is in pink! In other news, I lost four military tents this week because I obviously can only carry one and I had five thrown down on a persistent server. -

If you hadn't taken charcoal tablets or antibiotics, you'd have gotten the exact same results. I've tried it. Also, charcoal tablets have to be consumed within a few minutes of you swallowing something that leaves a weird taste in your mouth. After a few minutes, they don't do anything. This was the case when rotten fruit was still in the game and I haven't read of any changes made to their functionality since, anyway.

I killed three zombies with one swing of my axe last night after seeing the video above. When you're trying to kill multiple zombies with one swing you need to pick a spot between all of them and aim for it. The axe doesn't really cleave them, you just have to hit all of their hit boxes simultaneously. Cool feature though.

They spawn at western helicopter crash sites, but their magazines spawn in all military locations. That aside, it's an extremely terrible gun and should be left to rot at this point in time.

So what if we KOS? If I want to make friends I'll join a pottery class. It's funny how much of a DayZ "faux pas" KOS has become, especially when you know that most of the people on here complaining about it are just mad they were KOS'd. I'd be willing to bet a hundo that at least 99.5% of these same people KOS. EDIT: fucking phone :/

I've tried this many times and have never had it happen. The first zombie dies while the animation of the swing continues through any others without affecting them whatsoever. Any chance of one of you uploading a video?

Melee swings currently only strike one target... how the fuck are you cleaving them?

Organized clans that are currently dominating the PVP scene are the ones that are going to rise above the lack of supplies and harshness of the environment. We'll have the biggest bases, have the biggest farms, control most of the map and be the best at defending them. Once the private shards stabilize and everyone understands the game post-release, clans will still be hoarding guns and military loot. In fact, it might be worse then than it is now for the lone wolves; you're going to have much less to defend yourself with and what little you do have will be valuable enough for them to kill you on sight. Might as well quit now.
