It is possible that your firewall/antivirus software is blocking the game. E.g. ESET is stupid enough no to detect that the gme is trying to connect to the internet - try disabling the firewall for a moment or change its mode into automatic and see if something changes. More often than not the problem will be the firewall.

Do Bohemia workers even bother with the Feedback tracker at this point? I haven't seen any responses or interactions lately. I personally haven't been able to play the game since around February with the crashing bug I could not fix on my own and I somehow hoped they would fix it along the way, especially that I saw other people reporting the same thing. I would come back and check if anything changed along the way, but nope. They haven't fixed it, of course, so I finally reported it myself, but it seems nobody even touches that thing anymore. I have defended the devs throughout the years, but this is really close to them crossing the line.😑

Can we hope for anyone in BI to address this? This is also my problem.

Well, I think there should be some choice. I mean, not all people can afford to play during the day. It may be fun playing with a torch and a gas lamp, I find it an interesting experience, but this is the reason my fresh character got suddenly axed tonight, with only a shovel to defend myself... PS. I can see shit with gamma on anyway. There no difference, total blackness below the line of tress/hills.

It turned out it was a firewall setting, however, luckily :) I posted it on the bug tracker page anyway. @SoulFirez Hehe, thank you good sir. True that! Well, the bad news is that the bug persists after the re-installation. I cannot post in the bug section for some reason. Maybe the admin is yet to assign the rights to my account.

Hello, This is actually my first post here. So... hello again good people! :) I've planned to do it for some time already, but somehow couldn't get round to it. yet here I am! But on the topic. It has been bothering me for a while. Do you guys read bug reports on the steam forums. I know you may not want to due to the increase number of whiners, but there are some valid posts about bugs there, and I am yet to see any feedback. I want to know also because I am not sure, if I should post info about bugs there at all. As DayZ is on Steam, it is faster to use those forums, but if it is pointless, then I will only stick to this place. For example I've had a problem with game freezing upon doing anything on the empty server list already in the experimental build, but I got no feedback on it. I completely deleted the game contents and I am currently downloading everything again - I hope it helps. If not, I will post it in the feedback section. BTW, do I have to register a new account to post info about bugs in the feedback section? I couldn't log with my credentials for this forum. Cheers!
