OK. fair enought. I appreciate all the great answers. You all gave me real answers in a respectable way. I appreciate that. I want DayZ to succeed, so this was just my concern. It terms of money, I thought they both raised about the same amount of funds. A few million more for Star Citizen, so I guess it's a valid point you guys made. -

My most productive post yet about improving Zombies and game

Normally, I don't offer productive ideas. But today after being reminded that respawning zombies might be added to game, I had the best idea that will balance the idea of adding more of a challenge, but having realism instead of ghosting zombies that will spawn out of thin air in an area or room you just fucking checked. Dear Dayz Team. If you are going to add Zombies that still glitch through walls, please, please, for the sake of not making the game more fake..... Start each server with a larger amount of unanimated (dead) zombies on the ground in various spots around the map, and when you want the game to spawn more walking (live) zombies, have those zombies "wake up" otherwise, how fucking fake is it going to be that our zombies who are not even fixed yet will appear out of thin air perhaps in front of your face. Is this a japanese arcade shooter or do we want realism? -

But couldn't a good programmer team find a way to make the "dead" zombies on ground just artwork of the map and only when it's time for some of them to "wake up" they are then part of the server load? I know it can be done. It's bad ass and would 100% help with the immersion of the game that Dean would have wanted. But we are ing fucking sold out. So it's getting faker and faker. -

What a stupid fucking idea. To put in respawing zombies that can still ghost through fucking walls. So now, a zombie can ghost us from a room or area that we just fucking cleared. I thought this game wanted realism? At least have servers start with dead zombies and over time, they can rise from dead so the spawning is more real. -
I just realized you might be right they are maybe too small to see. But I think I was thorough, but thanks for the possible reason.

Is neaf the one above Berezino? If so, then I can tell you I once server hopped it for two straight days and never once saw a .45 mag. i found shitloads of every scope, gun, gear, ammo. But not a single magazine for .45 Are you sure you have seen .45 mags there after last patch? Im telling you.... Zero .45 mags are spawning at the airfield north of berezino .

One reason the map seems small is because of the shitty loot spawn. The biggest example is that magazines for the .45 pistol only spawn at firehouses. Not a single fucking magazine spawns anywhere else. ( the only airfield I try is north of Berezino and it has zero so I assume other airfields dont). Unless .45 mags also spawn at the police station in svetlojarsk which I cant confirm....... Everyone and their fucking mother have to go to the firehouses in electra for a stupid magazine. This shit needs fixing. Has no one else wondered why servers with only two players seems to always be with one or both players in firehouse? Because not a single fucking magazine spawns on the entire east coast to the top of map. The airfield near krasnostav spawns every scope you want, but zero magazines. The Dayz team is so clueless.

So are you saying the man who is leading the Star Citizen project is fucking up because he has three times the staff as Dayz? Look up who is creating Star Citizen. He is a legend. He never heard of Dean. Guess which completed game will have near perfect controls and gameplay?

Doubling the staff of thirty is still 20 full time dedicated developers less than Star Citizen which I believe does not have a publisher. So big fucking deal. bohemia can only fund 30 now and sixty later but Star Citizen without a publisher has had 80 full time developers for months now. I want Dayz to suceed but this is why I point this out.

Red tape and logistic problems? Without a publisher and without the multicontinent popularity of Dayz, Star Citizen has 3 entire offices filled with 3 times the developers that wildly popular Dayz has. Guess which game will have near perfect controls and actually get completed and probably be one of the greatest games of all time? The one with a leader who wont walk out. The one with 3 times the amount of developers dedicated to mechanics, controls, graphics, physics...... Etc.

Where the fuck did you hear that? I thought there were only 30 full time dedicated Dayz developers. Remember all my posts about Star Citizen which is only a game for hard core U.S. gamers has Eighty dedicated developers but fantastically popular Dayz only has thirty. please post a link showing 136. I have never seen that information. I bet its 30 to 40.

Kragz makes a good point. But this forum is flooded with blind fan boys who refuse to question why only 30 people are working on a broken game but has a revenue stream of over 30 million dollars and is wildly popular on two continents. And yet, Star Citizen that is only known to hard core gamers in the U.S. ( no millions of call of duty 12 year olds like seem to flood dayz) has 3 entire office staffs totaling more than 80 people. This game is broken because of no focus or commitment. Did people not read the creator will leave before its done? How can fanboys defend that?

Accusations? The facts are 80 people are dedicated full time to Star Citizen which I use as an example. Dayz, which has about the same revenue, and is fantastically popular in Europe as well as the U.S., decides 30 people is enough to fix the game and add features while trying to optimize. I want Dayz to succeed but Im pointing out that Dean and Bohemia failed to take this game seriously. To make my case even better, Star Citizen, I believe, is not really backed by a publisher like Bohemia is for Dayz. So how Star Citizen find 80 full time staff but publisher Bohemia only found 30? -

Compared to Star Citizen, with the same revenue, it is very low. I stand behind my statement. Star Citizen has at least 80 in house directly working on only Star Citizen. So what is your lousy attempt at correcting me for? All you did was make me point out the hard facts that Dayz is set up or failure. I dont want it to. Im judt giving you facts. 80 people building a game from ground up, but after 32 million dollars, Dayz only has 30 people working on a broke ass core. -

Ummmmm because compared to any other game project there are only like 6 total people wrking on Dayz. Star citizen for example, with the same revenue, has 3 different entire office buildings working on the game. So yes, all 6 peole at dayz should stop making spray cans and heart attack features and fix the damn core. -

I apologize. I have been a real dick lately. Im calming down and will stop bitching. Im feeling hopeful about the new physics announcement in dev blog. So heart attacks no longer concern me because now i know they are really working on the real problems with the game.
