    but sodas don't dehydrate you, yes some of the ingredients have a dehydrating effect that means you will derive less hydration per volume than straight water... but you are still getting hydration!

  3. And yet everything to gain ;-) Trust us' date=' stealth through a small or mid size village and make sure you get all the loot buildings without aggroing zeds. you [i']will find a gun in under 15 minutes.

    gratz :D as for tips, well I would say if you want a long healthly in game life, leave the coast immediately on spawn and dont even think about comming back until you're up to the eyeballs in loot. Head for mid size villages with markets/large churches, or head for castles, and always barns. Lastly, learn which buildings have loot in, the buildings are copy/paste duplicated all over the map so once you've seen a building with loot in keep looking for ones that look like that.

    Is it possible to trust?

    I only trust someone who direct comms me (VOIP), it takes more balls to have a vocal conversation with someone and then backstab them... plus you can read a certain amount from their voice, sometimes you can just tell a genuine friendly when you hear them.

    1.7.1.4 Bleeding

    odd thing is, I had the bleeding animation for a while (1 min+) without actually loosing any blood. Not sure what happened there, but I bandaged and it stopped.

  8. Ah I see what you mean. Well I agree. Perhaps a limit to how close to other players you can spawn... if you would be spawning within 300m of some one your spawn point gets shifted so that it is outside that radius. As for stopping server hopping for farming, well thats a tricky one, difficult to come up with a solution that doesnt penalise the innocent along with the guilty.

    Zombies or Infected, not both

    the trouble with "undead" zombies is they're are simply too easy to defeat or run away from. THey're basically (barely) moving target practice. To make the game work they have to be runners.
  12. disconnect is a blatent exploit, camping is a natural consequence of the freedom afforded in a sandbox game like this. The answer is simple. Bandits camping Cherno? go somewhere else.
  13. Is it so wrong for a game to try any realistically model something (like a survival experience)? is that something taboo that no game ever is allowed to try and do? I dont see the problem. Let DayZ be what Rocket wants it to be, if you or I don't like the final product... well then, there are tens of thousands of other games out there. game/realism don't have to be mutually exclusive, the whole simulation genre is a statement of that.

    Yeah this is not BF3, and Chernarus isn't a modern warzone. In the very unlikely event that someone gets a copper working they shouldn't have to worry about every troll bandit and their mom's poping surface to air missiles at them.
  15. GraphX its a survival game, and survival hinges on the availability of consumables such as food and drink, ammo, and meds. Thus when balancing the gameplay modifying the spawn behaviour of these consumables will make the difference between the success or failure of DayZ as a survival game. If consumables are too common its not a survival game anymore, just a pvp sandbox arena with loot. If consumables are not common enough then it will become frustrating. the right balance is everything.

    I've only experienced this when joining a server that wasnt on the same DayZ version as me. Are you on the same version?

    THe counter to your point is the sheer weight of numbers of testers. Lets say for arguments sake that there are 100,000 people who have played or are playing DayZ. Thats still 5000 people "testing" NVG by your 5% statistic, sure only a certain proportion will report back in any way but even so.

    I agree, the game didn't really need melee, and melee isn't a realistic option anyway. I don't like this new feature and not just because its badly implemented.

    An Idea to Stop most of the PvP

    And maybe some other people need to learn to live with the fact the pvp is not the primary focus of this game and mechanics will be introduced to manipulate the gameplay (like heartbeat). I'm sorry this isn't the mindless pvp DM sandbox you want but... wrong game dude.
