    Today's adventures in DayZ

Cool story, friend! I always take the "you have full control of the situation" approach. It tends to work out a lot and sometimes you get free gear for it! :beans:

    The Train

I think this is a very cool idea. You have my beans :beans: . It would also be cool if bandits took over the train and there was a massive war to take back the train. +1

    My First Time in Cherno

No. I think that my hero killed him, but I never saw/heard it. Yeah, I heard him through my headset. And to answer your question about your broken headset, as long as you can hear sound through them, you should be able to hear other people.

    My First Time in Cherno

Hey, fellow survivors. I want to share an encounter that occurred around a week ago. Just to clarify, I am new to DayZ SA. I played the mod a lot a long time ago, and a friend told me to buy SA (best decision I've made in a while). I was looting a school building of some sort in Chernogorsk. I hadn't seen anyone before, so I figured I was relatively safe. After finding some food and a splitting axe, I climbed to the roof of the building to get a better view of my surroundings. Bad idea. I heard a single gunshot, the bullet whizzing right by my head. I got down, hoping the sniper couldn't see me. After more gunshots, I noticed the ol' red Kool-Aid spewing out of my chest. Shit. I panicked, not knowing what to do. I had no medical equipment other than rags, but using them would mean going from prone to crouch and being an easy shot. I figured I was going to die and lose the little gear I had, and then I heard the call of a man with the voice of a thousand angels say, "Hey man, are you alright up there?" I quickly called back, "No, man. I'm bleeding heavily and I need some medical attention." I had a chance of survival! He told me, "You need to come down into the building. Meet me there." I looked towards the ladder down to the building, it seemed my chances of getting down without getting shot again were close to zero. I noticed all color was fading from view and chose to take the chance. I stood up and ran to the ladder, praying that the predator had shitty aim. More bullets skimmed by, none of them hitting their mark. Thank god for his aim. I got down the ladder and ran in the building. I saw my knight in shining cargo pants, who was patiently awaiting my arrival. "Glad to meet you, stranger. Now, stand still or I'll finish what that sniper started," he said. Of course I followed his order, and he patched me up. I thanked him, and he gave me some food, a loaded pistol, and some medical supplies. I was surprised anyone in DayZ was this generous, as my experiences in the mod taught me not to trust anyone until I was completely sure they were on my side. As he ran down the stairs and out of the building, he yelled out the last words I would ever hear him say: "Good luck, stranger! I'm off to kill that bitch!" This epic tale has changed my view of DayZ completely. I learned that not everybody is an asshole. If I ever see someone in need of help, I'll definitely help them and I'll think of this guy while I do it. Feel free to share some of your stories if you want. I hope you enjoyed reading mine.
