I was able to play about 13h ago or so and since 6h ago I cant play anymore. when I start sixupdater it freezes on "fetching servers" with the buttons deactivated, but when I go to ace and back in sixupdater I can see servers and press launch. However I cant join any servers. When I try I get connection lost in a ew cases when it says "joining game", but far more often I get to "waiting for host" when it kicks me back to the server list with "connection with host has been lost". Earlier today I could join a few servers, but only for a few minutes. Also even before joining it showed me like "501 sec without a message received" "501 sec without a message received" "502 sec without a message received" "505 sec without a message received" Which I usually know as counting up from 0 to 60 or so and not beeing able to move. I could move on those servers I maanged to join however. Is this a problem with my internet connection? I get normal download and upload speeds though and I was able to play fine yesterday (germany here)...
  2. Maybe Im missing assecoires? going to buy a handbag now. edit: Handbag didnt solve the problem. Any other ideas?
  3. Yeah thanks for nothing from me too, having the same problem although it seems im transitioning to just not beeing able to join a server now with the "connection with host has been lost" message right after I click join...

    Computer Patrolled City

    NO bandits camping the safe zone guarding tanks (how about rocket launchers)? invincible NPCs? dude shoots you in the safe zone. You cant kill him unless you dont bandage and hope he doesnt d/c after he got a murder so the guards kill him. Will there be guards on every corner and in every house? How will the tanks protect you in the houses?

    MEH why not just make it add 10 sec to the login time for the ghoster,give him a fair warning about the radiostation and let that radiostation give a signal to the perosn who set it up that someone is spawning in? fireplaces would either be useless or better than something that requires fuel and high end items. place 4 of them on the corners of a sqaure ( or 9 or 16 or whatever) and people can only spawn in death zone between the 4 circles.

Forum users are like 6 year olds and your thread title was too controversial for us. would be an okay idea, though Id just add a few zombies that randomly roam all of the map. or just spawn 1Z per hour near a player regardless of where he is. Tricky idea, Im kinda against it.

    NO Yes, maybe shoes can help you to get up a mountain, but you dont need shoes to do that. Im generally opposed to the idea to get new abilities through equipment. The next step to that is a tatoo that buffs your melee damage because people with tatoos are more badass

    NO naah guys, the unconciousness-time needs to be even longer. Zombies killing is really just part of the game. How is this complaint any different to "sniper rifles and grenades and NVGs shouldnt be in the game, because I dont feel connected to my death" To me the beauty of this game is that I DONT feel 100% responsible for my deaths (really it would be a singleplayer game then). please dont make death nice and fair. I dont believe it is .

    would people really write in journals though? Add notes that I can place first. If people use those then maybe add journals. Although I guarantee you that 90% of notes and journals will contain the word penis.

    You are aware there are players for whom minecraft has never gotten old? A friend of mine just installed a huge modpack and theres easy 40h of new stuff in there. I mean you need to be the kind of person to either experiment with itemcombinations for another 150h to find the new things to build or spend 10h on the wiki, but there is stuff there. SC2 is a completely different game. Every new player that gets attracted to the battlenet is endgame content for sc2. Dayz then is a combination of the two. So really your whole post makes no sense. thats all confusing and stupid and I dont know but: How would more stuff detract from your game? If your point is that sc2 stayed great without stuff getting added would minecraft have been a better game without the endgame stuff? heres some more trash: Imo DayZ would get value from every new item thats added. If I can find 40 different pistols that use 9mm ammo I can discuss with people how much better my gun is than theirs. People wont like the scenario of a dude with a desert eagle and a hello kitty backpack vs a dude with dual berettas and all black clothes, but to those two dudes that would add some value.

    Would you shoot him and take his car? I would shoot him in anycase, but otherwise I wouldnt be intrigued :D but I would follow him in any case. If there was a possibility to peacefully get the drop on him, whilst he has no weapon in hand Id try that maybe, but the chances of him surviving...
  13. You should stay unconcious longer, but have reduced bloodloss during that time. Also for like 30 seconds before you wake up you should be able to see and hear but not to move. Its a bit sucky too have to wait even more, but it would make the game less deadly in a realistic manner. Friendly people would have the abilty to shoot me unconcious and then stand in front of me with a gun at my face when I wake up. Zombies might also lose interest in unconcious targets but thats just asdjkfaiofje. I know these threads exist already, but not close enough to how I envision it. I dont know

It is not ( as in NOT) a statement that it should fool zombies. Although there is a worthy discussion. For example if this was implemented only for players who dont wear a backpack and have to smear themselves with blood of a dead zombie for it then it seems kinda balanced to me. (man in my head that sounds so fun. You are in a city and one of the zombies is following you suspiciously well...) would be even better if zombiekilled players would also get up after death to have more backpack zombies. Or just add zombies that look like players. in any case. more ambiguity please. ALSO WHY CANT WE PLAY DEAD? I WANNA LIE DOWN AS IF I WAS SHOT. get a message when the other player is checking out your body, he gets a message youre just pretending => its on!

Shack Tactical removal of weapons clipping got a flatout yes as far as I saw it and really a flatout answer is like no answer at all and should only motivate the OP to spam his own thread with requests for 30 replies until he got real answers. real answers like: to which i would say: If this is done right it would be a way to hide from PLAYERS not from zombies. I wouldnt change the detection range of zombies really substantially if I were to implement this. Also I changed the original post a bit, so make sure this thread gets 40 replies as I will change it even further then.

    Weight would be a cool addition if it was addable. Items bulkiness isnt really an issue to my backpack, neither is handleability, as my backpack doesnt have to hold it at the sharp corners, well it does, but its bedass enough no to care. Rotor-assembly in backpack is stupid. Also I would be quite intrigued if I saw someone run around with a motor-assembly. There is a car where hes running.
  18. And when that happens without reduced damage you have a higher chance of dying. Damage reduction makes it less likely to die against people who are less equipped than you. Damage reduction will make weapons with large clip sizes kind.
  19. Nuh uh You need to prove how damage reduction would help. I say: At some point it makes it improssible to kill someone with a weapon thus encouraging to shoot players with that weapon while: It doesnt discourage me from picking any fight where my damage output is higher than my enemies. Just like it is now. The only fight that it would hinder is two people with the makarov who know that the best they can haev here is to lose 2 full mags and likely blood for some makarov ammo and some stuff. You dont wan to put every weapon on that level do you? Also I was saying that you could kill people with a makarov on any distance then. If I knew they had to reload and I have a revolver I have more chance of winning that engagement than I have now ( given that the damage difference stays the same but both damage levels are reduced.)

    Why? How? keep in mind that I know my friends. IN REAL LIFE I live right next to them. I spend a lot of time with them and getting to them would probably be amongst my priorities in case of apocalypse Also have this preemptive anal no: If something is wilfully introduced into the game mechanics then it cant really break them. Why you mean has to do with the spirit of the game or whatever and that point doesnt go very well with alpha.

    No dude the OP weapons need to stay. They just have to be controlled. The fact that the next dude could have an extreme advantage over you or that you could gain an extreme advantage is great imo. same goes for nuclear energy

    Soldiers get whooliebwhoolie even though they somethimes only do what they need to do to survive. Having to do something doesnt make you immune to its negative effects. But its pretty clear that murders shouldnt be punished the way OP suggests. A system to identify corpses and the person who shot the corpse would be cool. Like a CSI-kit.

    No way do you need hours to find a gun. Go to the farms near cherno and you wont even have an hour, but still get away alive with a weapon. Also even so: Let the game become a game of two classes one with guns and ammo and one without. How much cooler is the should-I.shoot-him decision when its only one person who has to make it?

    A single key opens every car in the world : RETARDED and in every way: spams the world with keys if it doesnt you work 2 weeks to get a car running but you have no key you have worked to weeks and have a key but a dude who only randomly found a key snatches your car like in the scenario you were trying to get rid of. A dude who can repair cars also beeing able to make some sort of lock for that car: REALISTIC espeacially in russia where its going to be easykeys and doublespecially when theres only 5 types of keys you have to remember how to make, because every car uses the same key.... You guys know this game revolves around authenticity and realism. Im not saying a single key for each car. Thats rediculous, but a universal URAL key That pair of sentences right there.... single key for each car : reality universal URAL key : batshit compromise that is detrimental to gameplay thank you for angering me I dont know

    every dude who shoots a dude gets negative effects. How is that not fair? Its like every dude who doesnt eat dies. what is a playstyle? if shooting people can be called a playstyle: my playstyle is to alternate between my axe and my lee enfield with every shot I take and only to charge cherno via the big road and my friend is simply not shooting at all then rocket is intensely punishing our playstyles. Why are you doing this rocket? some of these famous rocket-qoutes are just BS yeah the game is totally not a game but an experiment. Why does it need to become a standalone experiment then? Why is the name not DayI when theyre infected This is so confusing and I dont know Now that you have been educated: I kinda like the idea, but instead of murders it should be shots-fired-at-humanoid-things at the very least humans. And then OPs effects are sound too strong. Although if it was just the silutte of a survivor when you turn your head in game that would be awesome. Not for murders really but just as a thing. Can the arma engine become a horror game?
