    cans to scrap metal? scrap metal to ammo? welcome to your busted economy. Soon we can fight in the shade. shotgun shell bombs function? ( and I mean WHY WOULD WE NEED THIS when there are traps already?) time bomb seems really unpractical.

    Base Defenses ( Document included )

    The base structures should be strong enough to repell solo and duo bandit attacks and would require a dedicated and organized bandit raid from multiple players to be defeated. This will add "End game" PvP and Raid possibilities as well as that much needed defence when you don't have everyone online. Fixxing a Helicopter only to have some noobie find it and crash it because he doesn't know how to fly it is the most game breaking thing I have ever heard. The map is to small for helicopters and motor pools to be hidden well enough so you NEED to be able to defend your belongings with Auto-turrets. It is the ONLY way to prevent server hoppers and roaming bandits. Taking out a fortified base is TOTALLY suppose to be able to happen, but only after a giant raid and fight! How would you suppose an auto turret shoudl work that can kill solos almost certainly but doesnt affect base raids too hard? wouldnt 5 cannons kill 5 raiders? what if it was 4 dudes vs 2 dudes and 3 cannons who should/would win? Also autocannons near all the spawn points and in every building. also there are multiple other ONLY ways to prevent server hopping. preventing "hopping" would be one, preventing servers another. ( connect/disconnect-timers ... automatic server assignment ... random spawn locations after logging in (urgh!)) (I explained to you what getting rid of hopping or servers meant, because I dont think you couldve made that leap. Youre welcome) There is a thread on the forum somewhere about "buriable loot instead of tents" Really smart poster there. Maybe thats our solution here? The poster was also very attractive btw.

  4. Incredible how hard the IQ-balance in this thread seems to shift in OPs favour.... Snipers do sit in the same spot for days People smell, the apocalypse will not make that better ( well...maybe. nutrition is tricky) If you camp in the traditional sense, you pick a position where you cant be shot in the back of the head easily. Flies and insects are attracted to smell. A lot of them are attracted to CO2 from your breath. There is more than one thermal scope in the game. Yes there is only one weapon-model that has it, but thats a really stupid point. if there was only one kind of Tank, lets say a T72 it wouldnt be any less overpowered. How can you even say something like that as if it was an argument. I am sorry for you OP... Also not a fan of your ideas. Maybe the NVG and thermal scope should only work on batteries, but dogs are way complicated and flies sound like a camping-sensor and would hit players who just sit in a building when they went to the john much more often. People just shouldnt walk into sniper-fields.

If the game was harder there was more to be gained from killing a well outfitted player. Also the only realistic way is to make the game really unatractive to alot of FUCKING COD KIDDIES.

    I didnt completely think of this idea to get immunity from bandits, but just to be able get seen. Also when Im behind a wall and I wave my flag, because I spottet another player that has nothing to do with banditry, but with communication. You see 4 white flags behind a wall, you run. No shots fired situation solved. Of course youd be kinda stupid not just to drop a sole survivor, when youre in a group of 4, but whatever... AND THE ACTUAL REASON IS TO GET NOTICED FAR AWAY by your buddies for example

    I repeat this isnt about taking away peoples fun, which in fall fairness people may choose to find camping disadvantaged people as fun. Thats fair enough. -So you acknowledge it IS about taking away peoples fun. Really the first part of that sentence doesnt make much sense then. This is more about trying new things to try to increase the incentive to playing at night. -Imo its one of the strenghts of this game not to give equal incentives for everything. Rocket says he doesnt want to give advantages to any playstyle and what youre proposing is giving an advantage to the "come unequipped" playstyle. the next logical thing would be to take out sniper-rifles. Arguably that could increase overall fun, but its still stupid. Its not logical to try to make them rare just like in IRL as you have suggested. That wasnt my point of "logical", which you could pick up a cheap set from amazon anyway ;) -then what makes it logical? Its more so for gameplay. To encourage people to play more on night servers. -so really you just used logical, because you thought that would make your idea seem more valid? And what youre proposing could be detrimental to gameplay to me as it could take out the imbalances that make me so nervous while playing. Would you honestly dare go into Cherno, or the NW Airfield without NVG at night? No because that would be idiotic as the odds are, there is someone camping already waiting for the poor hapless person to crawl in. -would you do it in real life? I like the batteries idea, but that would be nullified by the server hopping there already is currently, that you have mentioned. I repeat my intentions, this is trial and error essentially. See if it does actually improve or hinder. -We could try lots of things. For your idea to work we would have to take away loot from people who might have invested hours to get that loot (hours of server-hopping that is). thats not a trial, but might very well be an error My views are different to yours. But I also assume you are an avid fan of the NVG's you already own? Or am I mistaken? -You would be mistaken. i dont have an NVG. I am a fan of them though, because I like the imbalance.

    I like suggestion threads with a single suggestion. NO Flashlight - usable as melee weapon 4-5 hits to kill a zombie, military flashlight is heavier therefore more a tad effective 3-4 hits. USELESS Melee weapons not needing to be in the primary weapon slot to be used. WELCOME NOOBSHOOTER When using a melee weapon you should be a lot more susceptible to getting a bleed when hit by a zombie. WHY? Weapons THERE SHOULD BE LESS NOT MORE AND HARDER TO USE NOT EASIER how funny/great would it be to see a zombie pick up a flare or smoke grenade and the rest of the zombies go nuts at him? A LITTLE FUNNY Extreme Thirst/hunger (flashing red) should not cause a blood loss tick but cause the player’s vision to sway and make the player randomly pass out YOU WILL ONCE YOUR BLOOD IS LOW ENOUGH No cursor servers are fine but really could do with showing a cursor when throwing things. THATS NOT THE POINT OF NOCURSOR Zombies YES Traps Kit. Goes into tool slot. Used to make traps/alarms (see below). Also allows the player to spot/disarm traps (small chance to spot traps, chance decreases as humanity drops?) Traps Kit + empty whiskey bottle = door alarm/distraction device. Player can attach this to a door, if the door is moved (opened/closed) then the bottle drops and breaks. Traps Kit + empty tin can + flare = door alarm/distraction device. just like the tin can version above but more effective. Traps Kit + empty tin can + smoke grenade = just like the flare version but sets off a smoke grenade. Traps Kit + empty tin can + grenade = deadly booby trap. Can be attached to a door, if the door moves the grenade is pulled out of the tin can, a few seconds later, boom! As the grenade comes out the tin can there should be a ‘ting’ and a small pop as the spoon flies off and the grenade arms, giving any poor unsuspecting player a second or two’s warning. THIS IS AWESOME BUT TRAPS ARE ALREADY IN THE GAME SOON SO PROBABLY NOT GOING TO HAPPEN ALSO PROBABLY SUPER HARD TO IMPLEMENT Weapon maintenance. Guns generally don’t like to fire a lot and lots of rounds as they get dirty very quickly, some guns cope better than others but some will start to jam up; fail-to-feed or fail-to-extract. So guns should need to be cleaned via a gun cleaning kit in the toolbelt. If/when a gun jams the only way to clear it is by pressing “reload” (which will reinsert the same mag), there’s an 85% chance the jam will be cleared Flares at night should have a larger attraction zone for zombies. During the day they’re not so useful. Smoke grenades should work in the same way but be more effective during the day, less so at night. Being able to manually merge two half empty mags would be sooo nice. Throwing things should have more of a stun effect when they hit. Also should be able to confuse/throw off agro by throwing things near zombies. many awesome ideas,
  13. YES 3rd person view is stupid and should not be in the game. It decreases immersion and sales for headtracking devices. But for real: 3rdPV is just a way to make the game easier because yoou dont have to look around as much. looking over walls IS an exploit in the sense that it shouldnt be there. Would you NO-people say that if there were servers where you could disconnect and other servers where you couldnt that disconnecting would stop beeing a stupid thing because you could just paly on another server? I wouldnt.

    NO All things are a matter of perspective. What you might see as rage or unthoughtful posts I might see as thoughtful posts with a grain of opinion. What you see as not whining I might see as whining. These parts of your post are really useless. Nobody is not going to insult you because you politely asked them not to, whilst your trying to take away their fun. You might say thats not what youre doing but thats perspective and you can surely imagine how it would be fun to sit near cherno with a NVG and panic people. Also how is this suggestion LOGICAL? Because NVGs are rare in real life? So are military grade weapons. The ratio of weapons to NVGs would be more realistic if there were MORE NVGs. Anyways: NO NVGs are in the game and are rare. Maybe we could make them a little more rare even, or better yet, add batteries for these kinds of things or a solar charger or whatever but the real problem is that rarity is no problem when you can server-hop.

    Also in reality a blood transfusion wouldnt cure gunshot-damage. WAIT! could it be that the transfusion just stands for a whole operation and it would be a much larger pain in the ass to only recover when an other player has a blood bag, a bandage, a scalpel desinfectant, and some instruments and operates on you for up to 12h? I dont know
  16. couldnt you just throw a tin can at them? Or a smoke grenade? I sometimes fire three shots when I see someone. They often run away or DC and when they dont I run or fire another three shots in a more aimed fashion

    Anti Server Hopping Suggestions

    Despawning loot => Me and my two friends continously log in and out in all of the hospitals. Logout-timer => obvious cool and easy idea, but there has to be a reason wh Spawn away => also awesome. We wouldnt have to despawn zombies anymore, you wouldnt be as detectable, you wouldnt be able to spawn onto people in camping spots just takes away some realism but whatever
  18. people asking for more spawning of ammo which some people do not want but most others do naah its just you and your bias. Also if there was ammo-crafting then please lets not make it 5 new items okay? I mean imagine 3 of those kinds of craftings in the game. You could start, collect 12 items so you are missing one to make a weapon, one to make ammo and one to make medical stuff and then you find a gun with ammo in a hospital.
  19. I see a lot of threads about crafting and people wanting to make their own weapons (bows mainly) and ammo and beeing able to make bandages from clothing. Should crafting be in the game? have the devs said abnything about that? because personallly I love all kinds of crafting, but I really think it would detract from the gameplay, because it changes the death moed from panic-looking-around-but-fucking-up to standing-in-front-of-fire/craftingtable-not-caring-for-anything have the devs said abnything about that?

    Whats the deal with CRAFTING

    Hmm yes there is some sort of crafting already, but fixing cars isnt really the kind of large-scale crafting I ways thinking about. Making bandages from cloth maybe isnt either, because its so basic, but Im really not a fan of having crafting "recipes" for which you must find like 3 different things and then go to a factory or something. But yes, fixing cars is that too...

    Weapons are too common and your solution is to introduce more weapons? I mean yes, there should be all kinds of stuff so you always find new things, but the real SOLUTION is to reduce ammo or weapon spawns or at least separate them, like lots of ammo in warehouses but very little good ammo everywhere else
