i've had this experience as well. sometimes I get crazy lucky in towns that are looted out but I magically stumble upon bags and cans of food to last for days that do not require any can opening devices. other times, i'm so inland with nothing to show for it.

Learned an important lesson. Don't ever feel too safe when you are with your group of friends because even if your group is small, its amazing how you can miss the obvious imposter.

i think you look friendly. I wouldn't trust you though, as trusting people in DayZ is difficult unless you are completely naked

Now that I am more aware of all this, the video is interesting. It's very different playing vs watching it from third person while im not blinding by so many gifts of loot O.o. I learn something new everyday... i've never been very good at determining hackers when I see them. My friends typically point out aimbots and stuff for me to see and learn from (and i still can't tell half the time). I can spot DDoS - ing , speed hacks and other more obvious hacks in other games that i play but since this one is in alpha , it was a tad confusing. So much random stuff always happens, its hard to separate glitches from hacks, especially since I am historically bad at spotting them . I'll never understand the purpose of playing any game if one has a need to cheat their way through.

m4's are cursed. everytime i find one, something bad happens to me too ;). It's just the nature of alpha. I get nervous everytime I load the game hoping that my character is still there.

Ditto on all of this. eh, it is what it is though. :) I trust people more in dayz when I have nothing good on my character. when i am better geared, im not walking into places alone or cruising down the street on a parade float. Its fun with a group of friends (3-4 total). I can see how being a lone soul is fun as well though.

i thought that they wall thing was a bit funky. I didnt know if that was a glitch or something... hes not my friend. i ended up logging off without contact info . getting seduced by easy gear was my downfall there :(

i wish. Being female only makes it harder most of the time. Most of the time people instantly hate you, tell you to make sammiches etc. In other games I play, it simply makes me an even bigger target

So, I wanted to stay a few mins after my friends went to bed to loot a few more places, and ran into an extremely violent, yet helpful stranger? End result: im super happy and fully loaded :)!

I know its a game, but in DayZ I could never be so ruthless and ungrateful. In other games i play, I can be more ruthless (aka kicking people from my team etc), but its bc nothing really happens to that person except that they have to find a new lobby or game (no saved items or levels to lose etc). lol, i've learned that running is the best option too (if i am unarmed) very much so
