    1.27 Experimental Release

    The server or code has not improved at all in Dayz with 1.27. It is just another thing when you freeze and are about to lose connection from the experimental server. The main issue is server quality, because I`ve played on private Dayz servers with 4 hours server schedules downtime with much higher player numbers.

    dayz tries to burn your cpu?

    My experience with an Alder Lake i5 10 cores 16 threads 12600k is really hot no matter what kind of games I am playing in 4k.
  6. Bots on community servers is a huge issue similar to that CS (counter strike) game which is why I mostly only participate on Dayz official servers. And some community servers are almost empty of players.. However they have bots on it so it look like there is a full server with +15 queue, but you can log in instantly which is just wrong. Those servers feels really empty and that is wrong in my opinion.

    DayZ Update 1.25

    @Kyiara Shelters kits get deleted/removed too early from the official server branch 1st and 3rd person servers and that is a server option. I was on vacation in 2 weeks and both of the camps are just gone. One of the servers is not even busy related to activity and total player amount. In FrostLine in 1.26 patch update please consider to increase duration of camps like Shelters, sport bags which we can dig down with a shovel to at least 1 month before the server delete it kind of policy based of inactivity. It is not unusual to take a break in a game like Dayz in the summer based on vacation and travel. My brief point is: We lose a lot of effort and item progression when a "base related to base building topic" get removed due to inactivity, and some items are very rare to find in a game like Dayz - so it is important to discuss this topic with the developers or server owners who run them in the next patch update in 1.26 version in Q4 with the FrostLine expansion. https://dayz.fandom.com/wiki/Shelter_Kit

    6949 Melkart Servers

    And Only 1 full, 1 high, and 1 medium populated servers out of 6949. 6949 Community server numbers just for Melkart beta map. The idea behind this topic what is the point with all the dead private servers which take (5-10) minutes to load?

    Ban Russian Servers

    Most russians are innocent it wont help anyone or the dayz community to ban russian dayz servers. Most are playing because it is fun and you meet other people to interact with in a "game". I have met a lot of friendly russian players in game with almost 4k Dayz hours. This topic wont help the situation and conflict going on for anyone who are affected in Ukraine. Facebook or Twitter is enough about information what is going on with the conflict. This community should be a place to think about something else which is not serious to relax and enjoy some sparetime together no matter of nationality.

    They are still undeads within the same category like zombies so any fantasy genre most of those creatures desribed as slow and dumb horror creatures. The whole run mechanic is tedious in Dayz, u need to wait them out inside a house eventually until they get bored and wander off without a modern military weapon, and bullets are more rare now. The AI features based around infected/zombies lack details, and the Dayz team could be a lot more creative how to approach players as a challenge. And zombies/infected hear door noises now in patch 1.12 is a good change concerning the challenge so you need to aware of your surroundings, but the main threat is always other players. Lastly it is not based on my or anyone else play style at all. If you aggro 5 infected/zombies at NW Airfield in the open field you are dead in 1.12 patch without shelter. I am aware you can stealth attack zombies in 1 hit with an Axe, but if anyone with a weapon see a guy stealthing in Cherno or Elektro he/she is dead. So back to my reasoning the whole stealth mechanic is great with low population servers, but a full server it is not viable at all if you enjoy the survival aspect of Dayz.

    1.12 Experimental Release

    I strongly dislike the zombies attack moves and how they take hits from melee weapons compare to the last official patch 1.11. And don`t release an official patch 1.12 in this current experimental state. Suggestions: Add new zombie animations; maybe damage structure like doors, but don`t change the dynamic/behaviour of zombies and how they respond to melee weapons to be specific. This day I saw players run away with more than 2-3 zombies on the experimental servers 1.12 patch and they never stop chasing you. If zombie chase that long they are not suppose to be agile and quick, so they should run much slower if the aggro do not stop, and this is not a good gameplay feature in my opinion. Why are melee weapons and zombie speed important? Because most of new players in Dayz dont start with a gun, and I think some <new> players feel helpless when they run out of stamina while 2-3 zombies continue to chase with the same runing speed as players. Most players late or middle game get killed by other players and modern guns, and that is my main reason to balance zombies properly about speed and melee weapons so it is an nuisance with zombies, but not deadly unless you fire a weapon inside Cherno and get chased by 20 zombies and you need to go for a building and a shelter to stay alive. Zombies are slow and dumb, they dont have intelligent like us human. 7 days to die they go in walk speed in daytime, and run quick at night time. I would suggest to go through basic of zombies, and discuss it why zombies run as fast as players and they are not affected by the environment like weather or day/night cycles for instant. Positives: Zombies react differently if a player decide to stealth, and they react diffrently to some guns which is good changes compare to the offifical 1.11 patch. I`ve been testing and playing this Dayz game and follow development since the beginning in 2014 (5-6) years ago - so please discuss the current state of zombies about their current speed and how they react or take damage from melee weapons in Dayz before you decide to go out with a new official patch in the coming months. Most players will try to lure & lock zombies inside doors all the time, because melee weapons is much worse vs 2-3 zombies at the same time in 1.12 patch. Also consider car improvements; we have been waiting a long time for general improvement based on that topic for years as well. It`s my current view and feedback about mostly zombie related changes on the 1.12 patch on experimental.

    Food and survival rate

    If someone on the official public server setup 5 barrels (containers) full of food inside one of the huge buildings in Cherno and food stop spawning in the houses nearby in Cherno - it is a horrific system which need to be dealth with as soon as possible. Also long server ping kicks is annyoing as fucking hell and ruin your gaming session with Dayz as well. And some have been waiting since 2014 for a finished product, but every new patch break something that is a huge issue which is ignored by this community. Food comsuption I ate a whole pig without getting full health/water and it feels like you need to eat/drink all the time which is annoying as well. It has nothing to do with realism to eat & drink that often, besides it is consumption issue with the new patch with pigs and grilled/cooked steaks.

    I hope the dev. team consider to bring back character movement while examine your backpack so you don`t stand still while org. your loot in jackets, backpacks etc.
  16. Take a vacation @blackberrygoo come back and test it out after next major update when the 1.0 is ready. And don`t wait each day and evening, because it`s a small dev. team. It`s not like BF V from closed alpha to a full game in 3 months, because Dice and EA have 500 ++ employees. They are trying to create the best survival game that is within their limited resources and I`m positive they will reach the company goal concerning 1.0 to a full game. I appreciate the interview @M1NDR - I hope u all had a good time there.

    Game Update 31/8/18

    There are some major issues now with the magazines and some automatic rifles involving magazines. It`s newly reported on the bug tracker by the way to the dev. team as a major in-game issue.

    The Ability to IV yourself

    Yes definitely I hope dev. read this, because it`s hard to find each other sometimes if u play with a friend or start far away from each other, and it helps when u solo to use salin on yourself. If you ask an unknown person he more likely to shoot you and take your loot in this game if you have end game gear. It`s sometimes hard to trust other unknown players after 5-6 years of dayz experience since 2012 and Arma II mod.

    0.63 And Beyond - My Biggest Concerns

    About the Raiding system. If you look at Crowfall which is an massive mmo (massive multiplayer game - thousands of players in the same world) - you`ve limited windows you can attack another POI (Points of interest) or a castle with siege equipment and it has been used since the old Shadowbane game since 2003 with success. And in Conan Exiles another open sandbox world with bases have also used own time schedule with fire bottles which can damage structure, and they have own unique windows when your base can be damaged and need defense on different server settings. And that means you can plan it and defend your base more effective in that vulnerable window when your material required to build a base can be damaged for instant, and people stop getting frustrated getting raided when they are offline or sleeping if you can set a window when the raiding system is active and all bases on the server is vulnerable for instant to have a simple model. But such a system can be quite detailed as well - it depends how much time and effort put into a raiding system to get it more interesting and inviting to create a base for instant. Maybe you get a minor bonus and you`ve slept better inside the base so you consume less food that day when you loged out inside a base like a soft skill. It`s just an example how to create it more interesting in a sandbox environment like Dayz.

    Yes, stamina bar and item weight need some tweaking for sure, but I really enjoy the 0.63 build overall and I believe the Dayz Dev. team did a fantastic job on it, and it`s much closer to the standard of other shooter games, and some of the new weapon animations looks simply amazing. :)

    It was well written @Thurman Merman - I agree to most of your content, and it should also be possible to move while moving items in your bag. And another point I would like to point out would be amazing improvement - not sure if it will be in this 0.63 build, but before the game is fully released is to have bullet impact - 7.62 ammo should easy penetrate wood doors or barn doors for instant, and it should be better noticeable bullet impacts when you hit a tree or a building.     I`m fine with 100/100 on the main map, but they should spread out the spawn points all over the coast of the map and also west of Cherno when they increase the player amount per server, because that part of the map feels really empty now. And I`m not a big fan of all the permanent coastal fog, and fog should be part of the dynamic weather system.
