I didn't lose my binos, but I lost my pristine compensator. And now I found a Mosin and LRS. *sob.
-
They made Long Range Scopes pretty frequent again. I found two of them in restaurants in not so popular towns.
-
Nevermind, I've read the changelog again.

I hope it's going to work out fine Monday, then we get it on stable by friday. Meanwhile

I'm building a new PC with an i7 4790. Is GTX 780 a good choice for best performance and quality or a R9 290 tri-x? I'll be running DayZ from a SSD too. I'm planning to run it maxed out even in cities and at 100% scale. Also, would a Haswell refresh i5 perform the same?

If it doesn't come out on 14th I will find you and I will KOS you.
joke.

I play because it reminds me a bit of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and I loved that.

I think you'd struggle to keep a dog during the apocalypse, nevermind a horse.
There's so many farms. They could add packs of hay or we can just let them eat next to the mounds of hay. Maybe some horse shoes in the farms as well. What else besides this do you need. If they get sick and die.. life sucks, find another one.
-
We should be able to eat them, if required. :>

Nope.

I've been almost ready for months on both modes. To make it complete, I need rope and a rock.

Regardless of who I play with I only wear civilian/hunter clothing and an assault vest which I pretend to be a hunter vest. lol. On Hardcore I have a down jacket though so I can't have the assault vest.
-
I don't know why they didn't release the cooking/hunting part already and keep working on the "newly designed system to handle player movement" separately..

Hm, not only the police station, although it's more prone to bug you since it has many rooms, but the metal warehouses too were a problem for me, especially if I went upstairs into the room. Try to use walk as in the actual walk keybind, not just W to run for a milisecond and stop then repeat and make it seem you walk slowly out of the building. Maybe it helps.
-
I have no problem if I walk slowly to the exit then for ten seconds more outside. Yes, if I just run out, I get stuck in as well.

Very effective if you need to cut a lot of wood for fires, chop firewood - take wood to fire - use stone that is in the fire (if you added a stone or stones to the fire) to fix your badly damaged axe - go chop more wood - repeat until your bored.....
So you can use the same stone indefinitely? Anyway, this feature had to come in because axes got degraded too fast.

I can confirm punching a deer 100+ times does not kill it

Found one in the restaurant right at the beer taps.

I bumped into a russian when it was midnight in game inside a barrack at the base under Vybor. I tried to kill him because he scared me and then he was like "HULK SMASH" mixed with "Hodor" and doctor Mundo, but in Russian. God damn it, had to run bleeding from his axe.

After a few days of playing (9th January) I killed a guy inside some construction site located in the industrial side of Elektro. He saw me and camped me with a pistol. I went in and yea'....

The patch will come at the end of the month. Just like with the previous patch.
There was no patch at the end of May. Except the 4.8 MB, that does not count. Plus they already wanted to release the current exp version.

TBH it's not hard to survive without even being hit once as a fresh spawn as long as you don't attract more than one zombie at a time. Maybe the problem is the way that you're playing, not the game. :)
You can beat the biggest horde of zombies this game throws at you currently as fresh spawn. You strafe and they kill each others, then you kill what's left.
-
If you play on experimental you even spawn in it, I think.

This is, without a doubt, the most boring content that has been added. How will this keep you occupied for more than an hour?
Even when they add vehicles (if that is fun for you) I wouldn't find occupation for more than two hours lol. It's only a game, plus I don't get bored THAT fast.
Did anyone notice how binoculars are 3x3 now

Yep, you can also run with it out. Much more fluent. You also don't aim at your feet when you zoom in, but exactly where you aim at.
