Houses have been like that for a while, but I think you messed something in the configs that affects player distance. I start seeing though windows at roughly 50-60 meters as well (http://i.imgur.com/IRUXzb2.jpg - green house in center), but I see players at much farther than 250 ( http://i.imgur.com/OPix5KE.jpg / http://i.imgur.com/XIJOsf5.jpg ). My advice? Delete all the .cfg and reinstall the game.

Weird. I have it on Very High too, and I can see people at like 600 meters without zoom. I have both my view distances in dayz.cfg set to 1700.

Put object detail above normal setting, but implicitly you will have a richer map and therefore less fps.

I think it's just about a server refresh. I found a badly damaged backpack on a server.

Found LRS in garages, the house with an arched roof like a barn and long windows and in restaurants. Last thing I need is a compensator, which spawns in roughly the same places as the scope.

It's a bit better now actually, for me. Last patch it was a bit of a pain, though. The original melee was kind of bad also, looked like a lag-hit. You just hit in the air and the damage occurred the next second, to the misfortune of whatever you were aiming at. Wasn't too challenging.

Mostly neutral. If I didn't shoot you it doesn't mean I want you to follow me around and be my friend. If you are attacked by zombies or w/e, I give a hand then we part ways.

I like this gun a lot, in fact, I have it on me right now. Killed someone with 2 shots, but I like it for the hunting aspect more.
