I really like the sporter .22. I just hope it gets a buff at some point, because the amount of rounds required to kill some one is a little bit absurd(I'm not even sure its possible lol). I've also heard that a headshot with it only knocks players unconscious, which to me is completely unacceptable. I also love the sks, but that could be because I own one. -
I've never seen it. Off topic:You should be able to break your fingers/wrists when punching things.

I have yet to be broken. KoS is too easy and would take all of the fun out of the game for me.

Ive seen people make fishing hooks out of the pull tabs on soda cans, but I've never seen one used to actually fish.

Dont get a kit. Buy the parts individually if you can. This will keep your options open. Remember that you will have to shell out $$$ for an OS. Make sure to get a quality PSU, you dont want your new pc to fry itself because you decided to go cheap. Im not completely up to date on hardware, so I cant give any real recommendations without some research. Good luck.

16GB of RAM on a gaming machine is just a waste of money. You will never use that much RAM.

I just dont see a clean/fair way to implement this. I agree that its completely unrealistic for someone to be able to just run back to camp and re-gear as a lone wolf, but at the same time its unrealistic for persistent items in game to just disappear, especially if multiple people are using the same storage. Under the proposed system, there would be no incentive to engage others at their camps, because all of their loot would vanish as you killed them off, and forcing a huge disincentive to raiding parties. Perhaps a better way to do it is not to delete the stash, but to force a map of the location of the players stash to spawn on their dead body. This wont completely eliminate running back to try and regear, but it will at least add some uncertainty and danger to it, as well as adding incentive to loot, not just kill from 800m away for no reason. On top of that, it will encourage even more players to traverse the map searching for these camps that are revealed on the map of the dead players body.

Problems with this: 1. Shoot someone at their camp -get nothing 2. Store your stuff in someone else's tent -lose everything. 3. Find some one's camp and they die halfway across the map -get nothing 4. Shoot someone out of their car -get nothing(after all, cars can be used to store things) 5. No incentive for bases to be built/camps to be made, especially for pvp type clans, who would have the most to gain/lose by building camps 6. IT'S "LOSE" NOT "LOOSE"! THIS FORUM NEEDS TO LEARN HOW TO SPELL THIS WORD!!!!!!!!! 7. It ruins my dream of running a book store....a VERY high risk occupation in Chernarus.

I've had it happen long after taking a weapon out. It is a bug. Although there was a disarm hack from a few months ago, but I have no idea if it worked. This thread http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/166172-new-hack-on-dayz-sa/ has some information on it. Even though this was posted in the mod section of the forums, the only evidence I have found of this hack online was in the SA section of haxxor forums. For now I would assume it is a bug, and feel good about that guy wasting money if it wasn't.

Isn't DayZ supposed to take place 5 years after the zombocalypse? If I am correct on that, then almost all of the guns should be in crap condition, unless they were stored in a moisture free environment all that time, and most should have significant dispersion a la S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Maybe not to that extreme, where hitting the broad side of a barn at 30m is pure luck, but almost none of the weapons would be in any suitable condition for making shots at long range. Especially since most of the weapons, I imagine, were used during the containment phase of the infection, and have been sitting, after firing, with no cleaning in fluctuating weather conditions for years on end. Finding a weapon to make shots at 400-500m should be like stumbling upon an oasis in a desert. I imagine most of the AK variants would be rusted shut, and have to have the bolt bashed open to even be operational. In the unlikely event you found a pristine weapon, I am totally in favour of authentic dispersion, but I think some concessions must be made to accommodate the majority of the firearms that should be found in game, as I dont think it's reasonable to have the dev team ruin dozens of weapons through neglect just to get authentic dispersion rates for neglected weapons. Thoughts? -
Yes, when I was playing a "Hero" I ran around with no shoes all the time and gave stuff to new spawns......in return for their shoes. Well, really, they didnt have a choice, I had a gun, they had shoes that I wanted. So I guess I was kind of a bandit...although kind of a reverse bandit; er, kind of a really pushy salesman with a poor understanding of value. The shoes....I needed them, I wanted them. I WAS THEM.

If I understand what you wrote, the it's happened to me as well. After chambering the sporter and firing the shot, sometimes you have to remove the spent cartridge manually from your inventory screen, then chamber another.

That may be true, but I dont think some rags should make you a-ok. Perhaps force players to find antibiotics after being shot to avoid death from infection. Just throwing out ideas here.

If you cant afford a decent gpu, get some fast RAM instead, AMD apu's generally show much greater performance with 1866mhz or above. Make sure your MOBO can support it though.

Pliers and a knife. Heat them up with a camp fire/cooking stove to sterilise. Extract the bullet with pliers, cauterize with knife, pack the wound with clean rags.....or something like that.

Sensitivity Broken for Anyone Else?

I didn't notice any increase in sensitivity, but then again for Dayz I set my mouse to 500dpi. I never changed the in game settings. -

Why is there so much hate for this hunting pistol? I mean, sure, it's a little obscure, but, considering hunting is on the road map...and this is a survival game, it would make sense to me to add way more civilian hunting weapons than assault rifles. Having diverse weapon types and ammo types can only improve game play..... I feel like if this forum had its way, there would only be 2 calibers and 2 weapon types, so that no one ever had to search for anything ever again. edited for spelling

Can we please stop calling KoS/Banditry/Hero....ing "valid play styles" It's inherently meaningless....any play style is valid, as long as your not using hacks.

Zombie count should go up once the devs have fixed some server optimisation issues. For now, we just have to wait.
