Actually, this could be a great thing. Just let us do cross-platform gaming. No separate servers for pisser/xbone/pc. That would be amazing.

Fishing hook. Also a mosin with bipod/pu scope that my friend still has. We forgot that he ad a regular character completely kitted out. -
Maybe I underestimated intel....or overestimated the requirements of DayZ.

According to a brief search, your screen resolution should be 1366 x 768.This model can have different screen resolutions, but have the same designation. Also, the model I found after typing " Lenovo Flex 2 15" into google shows that it only has an intel integrated gpu. If that's the case, then I don't think you will be able to run this very well, if at all.

One of them should say "native" next to it. That is your screens resolution. edit- It might say "recommended"

Perspective matters greatly to me in a game like Dayz, especially because of the nature of the combat tactics used in pvp. I feel I have helped to de-rail this thread, and I think the 3pp vs. 1pp talk should be eliminated before this topic sends another thread to the graveyard. As far as the OP is concerned- I wonder how HC and RG servers will be differentiated in the server browser when an actual HC mode exists.

Can we confirm that HC 1st and 3rd servers will share characters? I always thought they might stay separate...

Pressing "tab" let's you observe your character/gear. As someone who role plays I can say that I find 1pp much more immersive. After all, I dont view my life from 3ft behind and above me. If something like the 4th wall mod was implemented, I wouldn't mind 3pp at all. It's just that as it is right now, the exploiting of the camera makes it lame. But no one wants that solution, because then they wouldn't be able to look around corners with the camera.

With item persistence, aren't servers not spawning loot on restart?

I;ve put a little research into this and actually found an example of someone starving to death. I hope this happens more often, I would love for finding/hunting food to actually matter. The only reason I fish/hunt is because getting hydrated/energised on canned food is too easy, and I think it lame to be able to survive that way. I hope DayZ matures into a survival game,because if survival remains trivial I don't think it will hold my interest for long after it's finished.

Fixed it for you. I think both camera views are equally intuitive, but I agree that renaming the game modes was the right call, especially because there will be differences besides viewpoint eventually. Although, I think the OP mentioned that last thing in his post.

It would be cool if "pristine" ammo was rare enough to use as currency, like in Metro:2033/Last Light.

Yeah, you've been able to do it for a while now. Alternatively you can hack down a bush with an axe. Or cut a piece of firewood into sticks.
