I once left a AK 74 with some mags on a deer stand at around 5 AM and it was still there when I came back from work some 12 hours later.

I know what his point is. He gets disconnected from a server and he doesn't want to wait in the queue to get back in. He wants a priority re connection. He also doesn't want to change server because he will have to run back to were he left his character. My counter argument is that the slot he freed up when losing connection allows someone else who also either left their character on this server to resume playing in the same spot they logged off in or to play with his group without splitting. I don't lose my connection to servers on daily basis and I don't always play on the same server so it might as well be his internet connection not just the servers.

So you don't want your character moved, but all the people you say should join a different server should be fine with that ? Do you really lose your connection that often ? We could make the disconnect condition more lenient so that your connection has a chance to stabilise before you are kicked out. But I don't agree with, "I got disconnected and I want back in so everybody else has to either wait longer or join a different server and spawn on the coast which is exactly what I don't want to do myself".

You won't spend more time in the queue than it will take you to meet up and then run to where you were heading. And that's disregarding the possibility of individual members of the team dying when separated. If you're playing solo you shouldn't have a problem to joining the next almost full server instead of insisting on re joining the one you lost the connection to. And if you do then so will the people who either have a base or friends on that server and you shouldn't be given preferential queue time.

I play with friends, as do plenty of other people, so while lone players won't mind location change in case of people who play together it means that if I spawn in balota, one of my mates spawns in elektro and another in svetlo we will simply go play something else, no one is going to waste time it'll take to run that distance with current limited stamina, waste energy and wear out shoes to meet every time we want to play only to have to enact lord of the rings to walk back to our base up north.

The 366 servers are NL ones and they are absolutely garbage, I'm in UK so not far, on 250mb/s cable connection and I can't play on them either.

So why is microsoft doing next to nothing to stop it ? It's harder to pirate adobre pro than it is windows. Microsoft let's people get away with piracy because it doesn't cost them a lot and it makes linux even less of a thing to worry about. Consider this a small anti competition fee. -

Yes they do, microsoft could do a lot more to make piracy of windows much harder than it is. Since they don't it means they tolerate piracy just enough not to fight it too hard and stop people from going for other OS. -
That's fair, but if I log out far up north say on my way to tisy I'm not changing server to end up back in balota. We could make the location change like the one with dynamic contaminated zones where it only moves you few hundred metres.

That would be a great idea if it wasn't for the 75 seconds timer and you ending back on the coast. We should be allowed one server change without location change in 24 hours to make this work. Yes, you can, not necessarily with all rifles, depending on the length of the gun and your arm but you definitely could do that with M4. Hold with with your right tightly pressed into your shoulder while opening the door with your left.

Bases are already so easy to raid I'm amazed people bother making them. I don't think we need more powerful explosives when it takes so few grenades to blow a wall up.

I'm not saying DayZ isn't fun to play. But someone here posted a graph that showed that this game has as of now maybe a 1000 players more than it did during alpha days and that means a lot of people left and never came back. I paid 19.99 for it, and I sure got my money worth. I'm not sure if I felt the same way if I bought it for the full amount it's sold for now.

Food and water are processed long after you finish eating / drinking, so I don't think stopping right on time when pill wears off prevents you from getting sick, and if it does. Is it really that hard to let go of one button as the icon disappears ? -
But instead of the gun, we could use some other freebie, guns are the last thing we need more of.

Your server believes more crafting would be nice ? Sounds to me like the AI wants to learn ahead of the war with humans. But jokes aside, yes more crafting and improvisation would be good.

I had the exact same bug, I saw the gas over stary jar, two mates I was playing with didn't see it. It disappeared when I relogged. -

Nah. it's as easy as it can be. Military zeds are easy enough, civilian ones are deaf, blind and dumb. -

The problem with that is this game is only a struggle when you're a fresh spawn. Once you get some basic gear , bit of food and fresh water it's easy. Which is why I immediately head inland. Coast is always stripped clean because everyone spawns there. You might as well not waste your time and take your chances by heading north. -
This game has been released for public testing via early access nearly a decade ago. Some problems that existed back then are still in the game. Those rants are not without merit. And sure it's nice to see that work is still done, but at that rate it will be my kids (who are not even close to being conceived yet) will get to enjoy working cars as grown adults themselves while saying I wish dad was here to see this.

I want to put camo on my crates and barrels, they are hidden in various very low traffic, no loot spawning points, I'd like them even less visible.

That is a good shout, on the private server some guys built a base like a castle, me and two of my mates have 3 M4 with NVG scopes, plus 2 VSS with NVG scopes and about 30 grenades between us, we're going to raid in at some point. Might use the alarm to check if anyone is home.

Sure it will be a hit and a miss, but if the battery lasts long enough and it's a high pop server sooner or later it will work.
