Or quit the game, I don't see how having to run this much can be considered a good thing, it's boring and doesn't bring much into the game. -
No other weapon takes LRS Why don't they replace both mosin and SKS which both are too old to be in this game in such numbers in a first place with a more common civilian rifles that will do the long range job? You are 10000 times more likely to find a decent hunting rifle with a scope than you are to find an SKS or a mosin. And those will do well even beyond 500m

@ EvilMinion Which is why we should limit ourselves to only few of those factors Not our fault that that devs still haven't added any more modern sniper rifle or even decent hunting rifles (the ones that are in the game do not accept any scopes), and for some reason seem to stick with ridiculously old guns.

Sway is realistic and thus a part of simulation. But there shouldn't be any dispersion. There is no such thing as zero sway outside of hollywood. There is a deference between current random dispersion and one cause by factors such as wind. Which is a problem, we do not have real effects so they add exaggerated random ones. You can compensate for wind to a certain degree if you can feel it, it's strength and direction, you can't compensate for randomness.

It is but I don't see how in dayz admins can keep tack on 40 players. No spectate mode, people do not record 24/7 so any recording would be done too late and there is no kill cam. Now if admin weren't asshole maybe some list of who killed who would help, but it will also allow them to punish those who kill them or their friends. The problem here is that whatever anti cheat we have in game, is performing poorly. And hacked mags are soon to be history. -

You're missing my point. That recording software only work on proxmity hack which I listed. I asked how do you find a aimbot or a wallhacker who is careful with how he uses them. It's enlightenment, I just don't a see a reason to wear a badge everywhere. And this exactly why I vote for limiting admin power because I experienced first hand what happens when fellow mods on my server abused their power because they didn't like someone or had a bad day. Our server has a website where you can make appeal and a senior staff member makes a decision upon hearing both sides. This is not a case for dayz. And like you said, wait for your private shards, than you do whatever you want to. -
Yea getting hypothermia and hyperthemia during the same season. The only way to get hyperthemia in dayz from running would be to put on some thick coat or jacket and do a lot of running.

300 hrs of standalone, didn't play the mod. And spare me you're petty accusation, I'm a moderator in Crysis wars myself. I'm nothing whining, I just refuse to give dipshit admin too much power in dayz, and how will you record the proof ? Is there a specate mode ? Teleportation and speedhacks are obvious, but how do you find aimbot when sniper shots someone from 600 meters ? I'm not whining, not one bit. I just have a different opinion than you do, and instead of accepting that state of things you resolve to calling me a whiner and a cheater. Pathetic really. All you can do here is to agree to disagree. Following your logic, if the person fighting abusive admins with too much power is a cheater, than the person wanting all that power is the abusive admin. -

Nor should it be, this is not CS, this is dayz You know what else is an imbalanced game mechanics ? That I spawn hungry, and defenceless. While someone who had some luck is well armed. That's the thing about dayz, there is no fair, there is no balanced, there is not counter play, this is not that type of game. This is a game where when opponent has a better gun, better position or he saw you first you are royally fucked, no two ways about that. Shooting below 200 - 300 meters is dayz is easy, very easy. The hard mode starts above 400 - 500 meters. If you miss a standing guy at 200 meters you should throw your mosin away and do the walk of shame.

They way I see it : Rifles themselves should pin point accurate, and dealing high damage when you score a hit. The sniping mechanics should be as difficult as they are in real life, the bigger the magnification the greater the sway, taking things like wind, and his movement speed into account. Long story short Sniping should be hard, but rewarding if done correctly. @Etherimp Fact: Shooting someone and instantly killing them from 400 meters gives them no opportunity to respond or react and instantly ends their characters life. That's whole damn point of sniping in the first place, to kill without endangering yourself. It was already said, you do not fight snipers directly when they are in position, you avoid giving them clear shot. Take cover, run in zig zags, keep your head low or you'll lose it. And if you are not advocating removing sniping than what is the purpose of your posts ? Is just to whine ? Or what ? Snipers will snipe, deal with it. If you run into a sniper at 400m there isn't much you can do, if a sniper runs into you at 10m there isn't much he can do. That's how it is.

Another means of power abuse, PvE servers, which are against rules will now be kicking players who kill. Non locked clan server will kick those who kill the clan members. -
Welcome to the world of dayz, where fair does not matter. I have a mosin and you stopped within my range ? Too bad mate you are dead. Same goes when I have a mosin and run into you holding an AKM. Too bad for me because mosin sucks in CQB, I am dead. Another example, I am a fresh spawn and run into a guy with an axe, he kills me, is it fair ? No, but that's dayz. When you are in the area known for sniper activity, such as berezino, take precautions, avoid open spaces, standing in plain sights, when out in the open, spring with zig-zags to make yourself harder to hit.

There And no mosin ammo is not very rare, not that you need more than 40-60 of them anyway, and that's if you live long enough. Not to mention that shooting at 500m should be difficult, since you are holding the rifle in your hands, it's not rested on something. It's not like in the move "Shooter" when the guy stands on a fucking boat on a middle of lake holding a rifle in his hands and lands head shots. Damage absorption and any dispersion are a different story.

Well if those mags are super rare I don't see a problem. Currently military grade items are too common.

I don't rent a server, but as much as hackers and script kiddies ruing the game for everyone so do you with your sever locking. The number of locked servers is ridiculously high, and they signed an agreement not to do that, so they break rules for their own benefit, which makes them no different in my eyes from those who are cheating or exploiting bugs. And why the fuck it is down to me to report server ? Bohemia set the rules up, they should enforce them. They earned so much cash for this game they should be able to hire 2-3 people who would deal with that problem. Especially that we have been shown an email from server provides, posted on this very forum, in which they say that they will not deal with server locking unless bohemia tell them to do so. And why would they give two shits ? They get their cash, not their fucking problem that some scrub peasant can't play. -
