Yes people do make noise taking of clothes, very little noise. And we can do it with varied speed to control the level of noise, which means that unless you're in the same room as a person undressing you won't be able to hear that. Unless you wear clothes with some trinkets attached to them in which case I understand your point. People can move with minimal sounds, people can perform various actions with minimal noise. Not everything in this game has to alert everyone in 100m radius, we can't open doors quietly which we should, eating and drinking is obscenely loud. -

You can take your shoes off quietly enough that anyone who is not in the same room as you won't hear it. Not everything in this game has to make noise to alert people to your presence. -
Once you find something rare or play a bit on full server you will. Picking up SVD or LAR on official is basically signing your own death warrant.

Unless someone shot very close to uncovered skin there won't be burns. Also while this wouldn't be a bad addition to the game I see two problems. One is, there is still a mountain of more important things to be fixed / added. Two the devs would need to add rag doll to the game, because unless you find the body is some remote spot you probably won't want to stick around to do a post mortem. -

Sure, as long as you have one plugged into a series of batteries or a generator 24/7 and the second your power goes out the base is unlocked. Went on holiday ? Base is raided with zero effort. Life got in a way and you're offline for a week ? Doors open take what you need random stranger.

Me and some friends did a test of bottle suppressor on a M4, made zero difference in noise.

Not a single person would put up with the hindrance of a lost limb when we have a respawn button. Also how on earth would a crude wooden prosthetic allow you to use two handed guns ?

But that's wildly unrealistic, the whole point of the current mechanics is to make you vulnerable while you open the gate as well as making your base vulnerable if you chose to walk away from it without locking it. Even if you attached the code lock and left the door open someone would be able to close your gate and lock it with their code lock. Which I think is a fair solution. On one hand it prevents grieving on the other it forces you to keep your base safe and locked.

The benefit on no hackers far outstrips the risk of running into admins who will ban over something small or because you raided a base of someone who's cosy with them, yes it might happen but I'd rather risk that than play the mess that the official servers are. -

https://feedback.bistudio.com/T166879 There is a post from you in 1.21 stable topic on this saying it's scheduled for a fix. That was on 31st May. Considering how rare explosives and detonators are this is something that should have been fixed in 1.22. -

Yes, but this isn't resident evil, left 4 dead or so on. The infected are as intended, rabid humans not resurrected dead. They used to kill players but that was removed way back maybe that could be brought back for military zeds. I think increasing their numbers and aggro time would go a long way to make them a real threat. Along with an injury system that impedes our character for longer time it would not only make infected great again but also make pvp more punishing.

But they don't move slow the usual undead. The ones in game are 28 days later not Dawn od the dead. Also you can't have them being as fast as they are and headshot only. They are even referred to as infected and not zombies in game. While I agree that they need to be more of a thread we don't need to dial it up to 11. First of all we need more of them, which will be a problem considering server performance, they should do more damage and stay in aggro longer also the damage done by them (and from other sources, including falls or firefights) should have a longer lasting effect on the player, taking damage to hands should reduce melee strength or increase action time such as drawing a gun, damage to a leg and I don't mean a fracture, which also should take a lot longer to heal, I mean sprains and dislocations. Additionally the dev team is apparently currently working on changing their behaviour and I'm curious to see what will come from that work.

Or maybe he was recovering from a bleed or a fracture from a previous fight and prioritised the injury over the gun jam. Either way it does not matter, your claim that devs though this through is unsubstantiated, there is plenty pretty obvious if you think about things in dayz that were overlooked by devs for a long time. There is no good reason for this animation not having a cancel option other than "he/she should have planned ahead".

There is conflicting info available. Some sources say that all military helmets have the same stats for damage and shock reduction some say that the assault is slightly better. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uvXb0HEf-9Q this video states that they are the same, while the wiki does not. Plate carrier is the best of all vests 74% shock projectile reduction, and 75% to all health damage barring the explosives which are at 50% plus it has 100 hp which means it'll tank a lot more damage before being ruined. Press vest and stab vest both have 50% reduction for shock and health but press has 50hp while press vest has 30hp which means it'll get ruined with one high power shot. If you're playing on official and weight is an issue this combo probably won't be for you but on servers with unlimited stamina chainmail plus plate carrier together offer ridiculous level of damage absorption. https://wobo.tools/asmondians-dayz-infographics?ID=163&category=charts#titleselect this one gives different values to the video, it would actually be good if devs stepped in and drop some accurate stats.

The release was a joke, this game still has so many broken things 5 years after the official release and 10 after the begging of the early access it's laughable. Game developer studios have no shame anymore releasing half working games before they are ready just to jump onto another half assed product. Was it decided or is it another oversight by the devs ?

Then the mechanics of how we can lock and unlock the existing one should be changed, but do you really want to change just one number when you put it back on ? Because someone can stake out your base and guess your code that way. Or maybe just accept that this small inconvenience is a price of having your own base which provides storage and safe spot for you in the game.

I disagree, there is no good reason why I shouldn't be able to stop that action. Just because he picked a wrong moment to do it doesn't mean he shouldn't be able to just drop it. And yes DayZ does try to be somewhat realistic, we have stamina that reduces from the weight of the items we carry or even wet clothes, we have diseases, the food rots and water can have cholera, health regen is relatively slow. I don't see how respawn and zombies are a case against realism. Almost every game has a respawn and zombies are there because at the end of the day we play games to experience something we cannot or would not want to in real life, that doesn't mean the mechanics cannot be realistic.

Woild probably end up as a game file, but that would lead to daily updates of the game and probably blow up it's size. -
How is not being able to drop a jammed gun in an emergency realistic or even logical at all ? Doesn't matter what reason made him try to deal with that jam at that point, dropping it should still be an option.
