But gamma exploit isn't a big enough problem to go to that lengths. They won't invest time and money to get a 3rd party engine to scan for a software that can modify your gamma settings. It's not a game breaking cheat. And you are still ignoring what I said about lack luster in game mechanics. -
As in soldiers in military bases during an epidemic of a virus like that have their guns unloaded but hunters at home keep it locked and loaded ?

Or rugged and durable military (pristine) boots that would serve you for years get ruined in days in the game not even walking on some harsh terrain. I know they can't last forever to create the need to loot, but they deteriorate way too quickly.

That is never going to happen. Anti cheat is anti cheat. Not something to search your entire PC for files and gamma settings. Like I said, don't go after a fly with a bazooka. We need to start with mechanics, you can hold a pistol and a flash light at the same time real life, let's add that to the game so we don't have to rely on pistil flash light alone. Gamma is a different type of exploit, it's not something like copying items or hiding in the walls it's more of a compensation for lack of mechanics to make playing at night more fun. I can't shine a flash light on a compass or on a map, stars can't be used for directions. People don't crank up the gamma just so they can KoS in the dark. @CJFlint Oh night and maybe even thermal vision will be in this game don't wory about that. -

Players night vision should increase over time when exposed to low light conditions reaching it's peak in around 40 minutes (average real life time needed for just that) Don't know if you ever had a chance to spend an hour in dark (not pitch black) place with no artificial light but maybe with right natural night vision less people would exploit the gamma. Or should we not bother fixing exploits with in game mechanics and just restrict everything ? -

And here we have the usual post about restricting base game functions just to prevent an exploit. Doesn't matter the impact it will have on players who need those settings, nah. -
Are we to believe that poor country like chernarus, had some fedora tipping neckbeard get himself a glorious nippon steel katana? Sure swords, sabres and other European / Eurasian weapons, but nah Michone not a katana.

No it doesn't you soft, civilised city dweller. You eat what you can get to stay alive and if it means apples and chicken all day every day you will. It might not be as fun as world of flavours that you had access to before, but no you won't vomit. This isn't the same as sitting at home and being bored. Besides it's a game, just because it doesn't feel like it, doesn't mean in real life fight for survival with infected like that you'd be bored. Most of the time you'd be scared shitless not bored.

I can adjust brightness, gamma, contrast and black level on my monitor with a remote. I guess you could say it came with built in exploit. -
Not to mention that the items tend to just take any random slot in the inventory.

No boredom doesn't cause mental or physical sickness. Neither does not feelings safe. And no eating the same thing when you fight for survival won't make you vomit.

That's only 12 days for people who have abundance of time but from those who don't it's a lot. Also you can't say they aren't necessary for me to play, not having them means I'm at a game mechanics level disadvantage. So even if on a skill level I'm better that advantage is cancelled out because he just got a game given perk that increased his accuracy. At the end of the day grinding will always favour those spend more time playing the game.

But my real life is where I have the time do learn and improve my skills, because that's where devoting my time matters. I don't want to have spent all of my free time to get some game given advantage Especially when it comes to combat skills. I don't want a guy who played 1500 hours of DayZ to have game given 60% lover sway because all he does is play this game. Not to mention that 60% is a massive decrease for grinding.

And you most likely won't get mutation that change the zeds physical abilities. By getting infected, we were told on several occasions that the survivors are people who are immune, rest is dead or infected.

The last of us called they want their infected back. And military zeds are already tougher.

The problem is that a piece of bandage or a 9v battery takes the same space as the SVD mag, saline bag which in real life is considerably bigger than again the bandage is only twice it's size, this problem exists because the base slot size is rather big. But I don't agree that we should solve it with magic containers.

Didn't know this forums is a place where we the people get to vote in what we add to the game and devs have to do it.

Your smart packed containers have walls, so a item of 2 x 3 storage capacity would in fact be bigger than 2 x 3 slots because of that.

It's not going to work with random book spawn, further more need to acquire a specific skill will encourage server hopping to find specific book.

For the millionth time, those are just rabid humans like the ones from 28 days later. Not some mutated undead so no, we can't have crushers or spewers or explodes.
