    So don't let that happen, I run around in a plate carrier. It increases my resistance to being knocked out versus unprotected players and allows me extra storage with pouches and a holster. And I compensate for the added weight by wearing a smaller lighter back pack. As my dysfunctional liquid friend above mentioned, plate carrier soaks up 5.45 and 5.56 like they're fired from bb guns.

    Considering how even siri or amazon spylexa struggle with foreign accents or even regional english / american ones, there is no way BI can make a functional one even for people without one. Also on PC those are assigned to F keys, which is faster than pressing a voice key and then saying the command, which might not be the case for consoles. And that's disregarding the fact that there is absolutely no chance BI would invest the money to develop and implement one of those. They still haven't fixed stairs, I was walking down the military watchtower in Tisy yesterday and ended up partaking in ski jumping competition almost breaking a leg.

    I think stamina should increase slowly over time if we're walking around with a lot of gear and keep our energy and hydration high, it would serve to make our character more valuable as it survives longer and thus make people less likely to engage in reckless PvP and by proxy KoS. Let's face it, dying now even as an already fully geared character is a minor inconvenience. You can be fed and hydrated withing an hour or less and back to being geared within next 2-3 depending on a luck. As such there is no real incentive to be more careful with our characters life especially with the introduction of persistent stashes. I also agree on the unconsciousness, you're out for so little time no one is going to risk trying to tie you up unless they already have a rope or cuffs and they'd rather Mozambique you than risk you getting back up to enact vengeance.

    If devs were able/willing to implement something like that I'd be there already. My best guess it's not because they are not able, equipment management system is as bad as it was back when I started in 0.53, if I have a single slot free in my vest and pick a bunch of ammo it won't take that single spot, it will go into that 4x7 empty space in my back pack where my SMG is going so that I can't put it back without moving the ammo first. And it's been like this since 2013 when I bought the game in alpha.

    I think zombies can be used as a weapon in PvP, I recently had to log out in barracks in zelono, don't like doing that, but didn't have time to move to a safer spot. Next time I logged in there was a fully geared guy shooting zeds through a window from the end of the corridor. So I opened the door to let the zeds in without him noticing, hid in the shower as they ran past me and when they distracted him I shot him, closed the door and killed the zeds.

    You guys cannot possibly expect something that complex to be implemented. If they haven't managed to sort out the inventory management system they surely won't add to option to refurbish houses.

    Yes, but on top of that we'd need in land spawn, otherwise it's just endless walking simulator.

Hi I've noticed that currently the game moves your character every time you change a server, and while I get that this is a server hopping prevention tool at the moment it's excessive, if I log out of a certain server on Thursday and then log into a different one on Saturday I should spawn in the same spot since this is clearly not server hopping. Not only this gets rid of any progress I made by moving inland where allegedly all the good loot is but it also prevents me from playing with my friends, you can't expect people to play on the same server every time, it might be full, unavailable or simply looted clean and I'm not going to lose all the progress I made because after searching entire zelonogorks we found enough guns and ammo to invade a small country but only 3 bags of powdered milk and one can of tuna only to be dumped back on the cost when we changed the server to avoid starvation and losing 20 hours of progress. Which also made me laugh after seeing that people are still complaining about KoS on here. If I have more guns and bullets in my inventory than cans of food you best believe that the next survivor that I ran into is getting a bullet, because I'm desperate for food and I can't trust him not to kill me when I eat the food he might have given me if I asked nicely, for two reasons, he doesn't have much to lose from attempting to kill me, two I can't play with my friends who would otherwise have my back, so I'm not going to take any chances and will chose to search your corpse for food. Location change should only apply if I send less than X amount of time on a server clearly showing attempts to server hop. If the 3 of us log into the game after couple days offline and have to spend 40 minutes trying to find one another because we were scattered around the map because the server we last played is for what ever reason not suitable or available to play on we will simply go and play something else.

    We didn't die in one go, we died one at the time so it wasn't a grenade and we covered the window so we would at least see the guy throwing it given how terrible throwing is in this game. I have nearly 700 hours in this game, most of which is pvp and after all this time I'm not ashamed to admit when someone hands my ass to me, when I win I win, when I lose I lose, but you can't kill 3 fully protected players one at a time in 5 seconds.

    I was playing with my friends last night, three of us in a room with closed door, we were all wearing pristine plate carriers and ballistic helmets, we all died within 5 seconds without hearing a single shot fired. Since you cannot get killed with one shot with all that protective gear on you I don't think we were killed fairly.

    Fruits nutritional value

    Hi I just spend 20 minutes going from tree to tree in pavlovo eating fruits. My food bar was already in white so I don't see the effect of the food I eat, but my question is can you actually get full / stuffed from fruits because I must have just eaten easily 25+ fruits and I can't seem to be able to get full. I know that fruits boots hydration more than energy but after eating over two dozens of fruits when both stats were in white (I drank a full canteen of water not long before ) my stomach should be on the verge of bursting after gorging myself like that.

    Another reason to change the server I'm in UK I was playing on NL server and ot was kicking me for ping over 300, couldn't stay in the game for more than 5 minutes, switched to another also NL server one and no more ping issues. We should be allowed one server change before we have our location changed just as a grace in case we for whatever reason can't play on our last server.

    Why block the NVG completely ?

    Lol DayZ isn't a pvp shooter, every new patch adds a weapon, walk into a small shop in some village that has maybe 15 buildings in it and find a Blaze instead of food, search the houses in the same village find a Repeater and a Mosin. Considering the amount of guns and ammo lying around this game is very much a pvp shooter. Next patch could say add a thermal underwear to help keep you warm, but nah it's another rifle. And then everyone is moaning about endless KoS.

    SUGGESTION: Radio alert before toxic airstrike

    Fully agree, you don't get much time between the flair marker and being engulfed in gas and if you're in a middle of gas zone you probably won't make it out if you don't have a mask ready. What else am I going to do with the radio ? Use it to say hey buddy where are you so I can come over and kill you ?

    Because the server might be full, or looted clean or you might want to join your friends. Ironically I don't need to server hop to get military grade gear, there are so many guns in the game that by searching zelonogorsk base once after a server restart I found more guns that I could carry, and I wish I was exaggerating. All we need is a location change when someone logs off one server and join another straight away, or when they send only a small amount of time on a server to stop all the things you guys worry about while not preventing people from playing together. You have far smaller chance of getting killed on sight when you have couple friends with you, not to mention that it gets boring walking around on your own for hours at the time. Join the game press play, "the server you're trying to join is full" enjoy being back on a coast. Oh well i guess I'll go an play something else then. I'm not saying we should get rid of the location change altogether, but the way it works now is excessive, I had to change a server today because someone shot me in a room with no windows with closed door. If me and two of my friends want to play together and there's only two slots on the server we played on last by the time we walk towards each other because we can't sprint we kind of had enough because we just spent over and hour in the game are barely off the coast were nothing interesting happens, what are we supposed to do there ? Run around shooting fresh spawns while they desperately look for food ? I've been around since 0.53 where you could just base hopp until everyone had a full pimped out m4 and then infinitely sprint to the nearest pvp spot, rinse and repeat. And while I like that the game isn't just pvp anymore i don't want to play it on my own all the time.

    What attacker? Also the solution would be to move someone within reasonable distance not to dump them back at the coast so it takes 40 minutes of walking to get back inland.

    Yes I figured that much thank you, which is why I said if I leave a server and enter a different one straight away the game should change my location to prevent server hopping. but it should not change my location when I log onto a different server after being offline for two days since this is clearly not a server hopping. Especially that 99% of location change is you landing on the coast which makes the whole effort of going inland pointless, and if you are keeping this rule at least make me spawn inland.
  22. Hello fellow survivors, allow me to add to the subject since I recently came back to the game after a really long break. I was heading inland in search of food since the coast was stripped clean by the fresh spawns, now having a bit of luck I managed to procure two handguns and an SMG with ammo and magazines from police station and a small military base outside balota I was armed and hungry, not for PvP but for actual food. My energy bar was so low my health was starting to drop. Fortunately lady luck decided to grant me one more chance at staying alive, I noticed another player cooking something on a fire, unfortunately for him thanks to first person only he didn't see me coming. Now if I was unarmed or only had few bullets I might have resorted to friendly interaction and ask for food, but I had enough fire ammo to guarantee a kill so I put 3 in the back of his helmet protected head and ate his chicken. Which brings me neatly to the morale of the story, guns and ammo are still more common than food, and if you put a bunch of people in a survival situation where there are more weapons than food people will kill each other over resources, not to mention that and this especially goes for fresh spawns, death has little consequences, you can assure someone of your friendliness only to try to knock them out the second they lower their weapon or turn around. Which means even people who initially had no intention on killing any survivor who gets too close have lost their progress to liars one to many times and stopped trusting people.

    So you want good boy points by being invisible to zeds because you're the good guy not engaging in killing players? They might not know that you were there when they hear the gunshot but they do see you once they arrive, and on top of that this will only serve to encourage fresh players melee attacking equipped survivors, not only they have noting to lose and everything to gain by knocking out players that spent hours finding loot but now the game will punish the players for using the weapons they found to defend themselves.

    Headed towards what's in the report. 5 years into the development this game is a state that no one will pay for. And yes it does matter if we have throwing, not because it's a make or break feature, but we should be getting more and more content and functionality with each patch, let alone something as bing as going beta. Throwing has been bugged since ever, it should have been fixed dozen times over by now, not removed. Removing broken features instead of fixing them is not progress. This project already had it's biggest cash injection, if that didn't allow the devs to get things done I don't see much room for improvement, I highly doubt the sales especially for PC have been going up, and this might just be the final nail in the coffin. What we have here is one step forward, two steps back. All you need is to go through this thread and you see that even the biggest fans realize that things are not looking good if this is how we enter beta. Beta should be a big patch, full of improvement that wakes this game up from the borderline coma it's in. What we got instead is life support.
