Well not from my experience.. and as for actual numbers, it has twice the dispersion of the mosin, which is horrible in all honesty. Actually, big dispersion is horrible as a concept.. give us sway and breath control instead guys.

Are you trolling? Because it's hard for me to believe you're actually asking me to give you a solution for something that's so obviously fixed by pretty much any form of tweak. - Make zombies not spawn in plain sight - Not spawn in X meter radius around players. - Not spawn before Y minutes have passed since the last zombie in that area was killed.. If that was a troll question, than I am defeated, as I've made a serious response, and I applaud your skills. If not, well, I don't know what to say without sounding insulting. -
I'm sure a lot of people have similar experience to yours! Let me tell you, you are my most prized type of victim sir (even though you aren't technically a hopper)! I always keep a look out for servers that appear to be hopper heavens - 5/40 people, 10:03 am, this one is PERFECT for example, so I log in and just circle around military areas, until I find an "untouched" zone. Then, I wait, because these places are just loot magnets for people wanting an easy M4/TTSKO etc. I just wait, and it never fails, someone spawns right in the damn building usually. Since these guys are typically greedy and the server queue is preventing them from just swapping servers instantly, they of course go loot the other buildings. And as soon as they get out of cover - they are gone. All their gear, now mine. None of it ruined, because they died by a single bullet to the skull. Sweet, sweet loot from the hoarders themselves, I just love killing them, particularity in groups. I despise glitchers though, and have screened proof of killing them whenever I can. Nope, if I kill you, you will just hear a crackle and it will be the end of it. Time to start over.

Similar thing happened to me yesterday. Buddy was being taled by a zombie as he was retreating from 2 guys shooting him, I ready up and get in a position to shoot them as the buddy retreats to me. Before I even get to shoot a zombie that was after him is now attacking me. I think ok, fine, this is unexpected as I didn't shoot but I pull out my axe and kill it (I don't want to shoot and let the assaliants know there's 2 of us). So I get ready for them, when all of a sudden a zombie spanwed RIGHT BEHIND ME - from the area that we already cleared and starts wacking at me and of course bleeding me as well. Like I said, I'd really, REALLY like to know what the devs expect to gain by implementing this mechanic and letting it roll for more than a week. -

Still, I don't know how plausible that would be, since they are not "dead" so I don't think either scenario - graveyard zombies or player post-mortem zombies... but yea mods will probably come that will alter that, though it wouldn't feel right fighting with myself to get my gear back.. -

I've took stuff off people and let them live. Basically, it's a two-way street - whether or not they're gonna let you live is not only up to them, if you exert suspicious behavior you might get killed. The way you talk, the pauses between talking (tale tell sign of 3rd party voice chat), the diction alone and maturity of your voice - anything can impact the outcome. If I tried to rob someone with the voice of Morgan Freeman I'm sure he'd be able to convince me not to kill him in the process. But if a guy is a derp I'll kill him for the sake of natural selection. -

I know. We can have cats and they can be our eyes sort of, disable 3rd person view for all and let us use cats as scouts instead. -

OPFP had shit controls. Arma had shit controls. Arma 2 had shit controls. Arma 3 did improve on that. Dayz has shit controls. All the way from the WASD movement bumping me into places I never wanted to go at, the mouse having weird acceleration even though its off, up to the point of some questionable control schemes like hold breath + zoom being on the same button. I literally feel like I'm inside a truck when I'm trying to climb stairs. It's like if you miss a turn you go to the side and just roll off of them. If I switch weapons I have to keep moving on no matter what, just have to! If I press w I always, always go forward for a second after I let go of the button. I have a really strong rig and my framerate never dips, so it's NOT that. I know, it's alpha, but should we expect dayz to ever properly implement movement/controls to the point we don't feel like we're controlling a badly constructed robot but a real human being? Or is this simply an arma 2 engine limitation that will never get fixed?

One thing is for sure, if they don't make runs for cans exteremely dangerous by zombie hordes, or rarer by default, no one is gonna bother chasing down animals, especially with guns that give your position away. -

I agree, talk about it somewhere else. After the last experimental changelog, I am glad melee is being addressed, slowly, but still, progressively. If only they could delve with the more fundamental mechanics.. -

I can't understand people who are like "that's alright". He said he'd finish it. He also said it's a fundametally flawed concept. How can you people think it will be alright if the man in charge of finishing the game says the entire f*cking concept of it flawed? I'd be depressed and unmotivated working on a title I considered flawed by design, but the problem is, up to this point, Dean was all up in the air how excited and awesome it is to work on this. 1.5 million reasons made him change his mind I guess. -

If you actually followed through reading that you'd know that my question was - does the alpha status actually mean anything when it comes to this issue, because it might as well be an engine limitation that transcends the "alpher" protocol. Do read before jumping to conclusions. -
Again putting words in my mouth. Who said conspiracy? The "Odd, isn't it?"? How exactly did you conclude, with the superior intelligence I'm not supposed to mock, that comment was in any way related to conspiracy? Do tell. In any way, I believe only facts, and the fact is had most of us known that he considers Dayz a flawed concept and he would leave before 2015 they wouldn't have had 15mil sales by now.

That's because it's a normal reaction to what was said earlier and what is being said now. Why wasn't the game a "flawed concept" BEFORE 1.5 million sales were made? Odd, isn't it?

Hah, but you have the luxury of calling everyone else a headless chicken? Hypocritical much? I'm not emotionally invested to the point I'm going to prague and slap dean, but I'm not a complacent couch potato either. If I gave money for a product that's inherently flawed I have every right to complain about it.
