    Damage model still wonky?

    No, they removed gas masks with helmets because of clipping, I don't have the exact quote but I'm sure of that. As for every helm item sucking up damage, lets say its true, why does the same action yield different results - most of the time I shoot anyone in the head - regardless of headgear, they drop dead. Their items were not a factor. But sometimes, they don't die. Head gear or wonky hitboxes?

    Sway for all weapons?

    I haven't tried the other weapons other than pistols on EXP, so they've added sway on their ironsights? I'm 100% sure they are perfectly still on stable. Is the sway twitchy like the AKM or smooth?

    I am not sure, but I'd say yes, as typically everyone puts glasses on when they find them.

    Well, they seem to be going with something with the AKM, weapon has (god awful, clippy) sway but very little dispersion AFAIK.

    No other weapon has ironsight sway AFAIK. I don't know what they're trying to achieve with the jerky sway.

    Randomize loot spawning more?

    I think it hurts gameplay when loot tables are pre-set in specific buildings. If you're searching for an ACOG, you know exactly what buildings spawn it, and loot them specifically. It's even worse in a civilian areas - piano houses, schools, tech building and police stations are the high-priority buildings, everything else is just a waste of time. Guns, ammo and high-priority loot should be spread out, while still retaining to realism (police station should have a better chance at spawning guns and ammo). But there should be a chance to have weapon spawns in one of the apartment blocks as well, it makes sense and it releases the tension off the high priority buildings.

    Well, I don't know why should it be that hard for a dev to just drop by and say yes/no regarding the stable update..

    Well they also said the rubberbanding has nothing to do with the build but rather exp servers themselves. So I could see the update tomorrow because other than that it was fine for me.

    Where is all the action at now?

    Berezino is mostly a hotspot because a lot of the new spawn points are near it, whereas the southern ones have been removed.
  11. I think the ballistic helmet feels just too good for obvious reasons - it provides the best protection, while also camouflaging people well. While there's a big array of other helmets, none of them provide anything substantial apart from the motorcycle helmet being a poor mans ballistic helmet. From a practical point of view, there is no need to wear any other helmet unless you want to be differentiated at the cost of not being able to blend in the vegetation. I shot a guy from a mosin at like 50 meters directly in the head, he woke up after a few seconds - something he could never have done with any other headgear. There need to be some good alternatives to it, or reasons to wear other hats like the ones that are coming. Right now there would be no practical reason to wear, say, a green radar cap instead of the helmet. Perhaps the ballistic helmet should hinder certain aspects of the game due to its bulkiness, I am not sure. But at the moment its a helm that can camo well and offers the best protection, an obvious winner over anything else.

    m4 appreciation

    Not only that, but the scopes don't zoom to their correct values, and the fov slider is just there to be abused to as a way to compensate for the lack of a true optic zoom function. Couple it with the aforementioned "features" and the whole shooting experience is not very realistic or enjoyable as much as it could be. Breath control is also practically non-existent.

    I'm just hoping that once they get a good amount of guns they'll do a complete revamp of the aiming/recoil/dispersion/accuracy system and put in a system that rewards aim and trigger discipline instead of dice throwing.

    Who did we just wipe at NEAF?

    The 3 of us took 5 (I think 6th logged, couldn't find him) of you guys over at NEAF :) one of us got shot in the leg but other than that nothing :P I was the guy who took 4 of you - killed one at east prison and then moved off to the side of the hangars and killed 3 more, final one at the tower top who popped up! The server emptied after you left, but was a nice shootout :)

    Getting killed by groups only.

    There's PLENTY of solo players out there (I'm one of them, at least half of my play time) - the thing is, high risk areas tend to attract groups more, and if you are solo in a high risk area, well, you're asking for it. When it comes to not being able to deal with them - that's absolutely untrue. IF, and IF you have the element of surprise, you can deal with 2 people at least, sometimes 3 - I have, multiple times, even on airfields. If you shoot first and kill one guy - it's either 1v1 or 1v2 - definitely managable. If you get in an easily defensible position, you can pretty much go 1v5 as long as you have an M4 - there's no grenades, flashbangs, gas grenades to flush you out.

    Zombie spawning

    I can't understand why they didn't work out the broken zombie spawning on the experimental. There's absolutely no reason why they should bring such a broken mechanic on stable servers when they got the feedback they needed on experimental. I spent 5 minutes killing the same zombie over and over because I was cornered by a guy and couldn't leave the immediate area. A zombie aggro'd on me and I kept killing him and each and every clone of his popping out as soon as the last one was dead and immediately attacking me. FYI I used an axe, not a gun to kill them. It's very frustrating to play like that and that has already been said during the experimental server test.

    Zombie spawning

    Doesn't help one bit. Last night I was killing zombies in berezino with an axe, literally 5 of them spawned consecutively at roughly the same spawn, right in front of me (about 20m) while I was looking at them, and instantly aggro'd. No respawn is tons better than spawn in plain sight 5 times in a row. This isn't even an isolated incident. It happened way too many times to me already.

    How many honorable KoSers are there?

    I know, a lot of you will say that this title doesn't make sense, but bare with me. First, look at this short video: I'm a KoSer through and through, but I would never, EVER backstab someone who was in a position to kill me but instead didn't and either helped me or began some kind of non-aggressive interaction. If I was the guy who was recording - I would have put a bullet in the guys head the moment I saw him (recording guy says he saw him fight a zombie and helped him - big no no from me) - but at the same time, if I was the guy caught with my pants down I wouldn't have behaved like the killer in the video either, it's just low and, frankly, disgusting to me, even though I'm a KoSer. Basically, everyone I see and I don't get to interact with, I assume they are like the assailant in the above video. But if they are in a position to kill me and don't do it, I will not instantly be relaxed but I will refrain from shooting them at the very least I will not kill freshies I see from long range, but if confronted with them, I will most certainly bait them into an opportunity to kill me and see if they bite. Let's just say I've killed many opportunists. Anyone else?

    Uh there was nothing honorable in that video. I shoot people on the assumption they are diahonorable dicks like that guy. If someone manages to prove otherwise, I do not do them harm. It's just hard to prove it thats all, but when it does I never betray someones trust.

    Similar thing happened to me, though my guy barely lived. I was in neaf, killing as per usual, found a guy, followed him around, finally set up an ambush when he went into a building. He got out in a weird angle, dodged half of my M4 shots, which allowed him to scream 'ceasefire, please ceasefire.' I couldn't keep shooting honestly. I stopped, bandaged him, he didn't sound like a douche, he gave me some m4 clips (of his own volition) and we parted ways. Just as a precaution, I told him that I said to my sniper friend he was free to go, but I was bluffing as I was alone.

    Inland, Coast or both

    I only come to the coast when I am looking for large amounts of people to kill. That said, I'm perfectly find with 3-5 kills a day I make in the inland.
  23. I know you guys are trying to add respawning zombies, but just randomly spawning zombies around people doesn't help anyone. I've literally stood on the airfield, in the bushes, and dettered waves and waves of zombies one after another, all of them spawning randomly, some in plain sight. This is absurd to say the least and doesn't help us test the game nor you to figure out what to do next.

    Why do zombies spawn out of thin air (experimental)

    Just had it happen again, sadly I wasn't recording - killed a zombie (with axe), 2 seconds later, another spawns facing me, about 10 meters in front. Instantly aggros. GG.
