  1. I was just hydrated (light green) when I took off from mishkino. Sprint to Green Mountain, I have no hidration (wasn't even hot). That's probably less than 15 min. I'm sure it's not an isolated case.

    Armbands just mean that someone may be with company. Other than that, the color doesn't matter, shoot on sight.

    It doesn't even come close to 1PP population. Compared to what it was, it's a wasteland now. There's just 1 full server most of the time, the rest barely have anyone on em.

    1pp stable LF [scoped SVD] Need a pristine SVD along with the scope that spawns with it. Have for trade M4 - pristine supressor, pristine MP handguard, pristine MP buttstock, 30 round mag + 120 bullets.

One of the most glaring issues plaguing this game no one seems to care about (maybe because it was here since day 1) is the absolutely ridiculous inability for the client/server to report player position properly. You know what that is. Player teleports short distances. One second he's on one side of the wall, ooops nope, he actually was never where you saw him, took a shot? Too bad, now you've blown your cover. It's extremely irritating how you can't shoot anyone except for people standing still because if for some reason they move you're just throwing those dice, putting on a rag over your eyes and hoping the stars are aligned and the server reports where the guy actually is moving. Now, I know this game is on a big map and on some servers there's loads of people.. but, christ guys, on 10-20 man servers where there's just me and one guy in a 2 km radius, I expect to be able to shoot him from 50 meters if he's moving in a straight line.
  11. Overwatch hasn't got anything to do with this, don't know what made you think that game is better than this because even if it is it's not the same thing. I am complaining about the complacency of the community, who supported and paid up front for the game while a lot of the goals that were set are still running late, but is ok with everything. Yes, developing is a slow process, but I've never seen it move at such a snail pace, and I've alpha/beta tested games before the 2000s. So let me get this straight - you are annoyed at me because I complain about technical problems that I do not (fully) understand? Might as well go punch everyone in the bug tracker, I'm sure a lot of people there do not understand why exactly the problems are happening. Bottom line - I don't need to understand the reason for the problem in order to make a case of it. The problem is evident and often determinable to the gameplay, which is an issue. I'm not venting, that's just how it is regardless if I'm mad or not. In the same vein, whether or not you want to play this game more than any other arma title, or any other game for that matter, is also completely irrelevant to the topic at hand.
  12. I swear I want to punch a baby every time I hear these kinds of lines. This is the time to voice opinions about stuff that simply doesn't work. This is a CORE issue that's been broken since day 1, and you're telling me I have to "live with the flaws"? Hate how complacent this community is. The thing I linked in the video, did you see it? That's not some isolated case where you say "aw screw it, I got unlocky" - That's how 90% of the engagements are - if a player is moving, they WILL desync every 2-3 seconds. Yes I play on <50 ping servers. And Arma 3 I've played a lot, there was never a SINGLE time I've had someone spaz around like in SA, on a 60+ man server, on a MUCH bigger island.
  13. That's not it obviously. People teleport around all the time, watch any, ANY youtube video and people will spaz all over the place when moving. Case in point - watch this video at exactly 2 minutes: That's what I'm talking about. I don't. Unless they hold still.

    Movement very clunky

    I'm an arma player, so this shouldn't be a problem for me, but movement feels a LOT more clunky than in arma. If I'm in a house, I feel like I'm driving a truck instead of controling a human being. Anything being done about this?
  15. I don't know if you've tested it guys, but from what I can tell so far, the degrading weapons are the M4 and the AUG. And let me tell you, they both go down a level for like, every 30 bullets, which is quite insane if you ask me. You should be forced to carry multiple cleaning kits if you happen to be engaging targets often. I was just at Mishkino and by the time I downed 3 guys, my M4 was badly damaged by that time, I didn't even unload a single STANAG into them. And then we've got the rest of the weapons that don't get damaged at all.. Anyway, all I'm saying is that a prolonged fight shouldn't permanently ruin your weapon. If it went from one status to another in like 100 bullets that'd be ok I guess.

    Automatics>Snipers soon?

    Depends on where you go about. If you stick to rural areas zombies are a non-issue. But even in urban ones, a sniper with a suppressed pistol backup will be enough to take care of a few aggro'd zombies. Of course you won't be able to take on a horde but that's hardly the goal of someone with an auto rifle.

    Weapons that degrade require far too much cleaning

    Oh God I knew it wouldn't take long for the gun nuts. Look, it's really simple: you're missing the point. If this game tried to be realistic to that level, half the shit would be broken. Here's whats up : 'is it logical, from a gameplay perspective, for a gun to go from pristine to ruined in 100 bullets?'. The answer is NO.

    Stuffed?

    Ok I know that they messed up the stomach values last patch, but this is getting ridiculous - my thirst level is dropping faster than my stomach is able to process it. I tried vomiting and then drinking just water (because I sometimes manage to get energized). Is there any solution to this, or is this character of mine bound never to be energized/hydrated?

I'm mainly playing solo or with a single friend, and sometimes we are in positions where we can't see each other, I think I've been spotted a couple of times when I've gotten into the infamous weapon sheath/unsheathe animations as a result we were in an unfairly inferior position. So the question I'm asking is - can you manually do something to prevent this from happening, ever? P.S. I play only 1PP so I can't go in 3PP to look at my char.

    The weakest thing you can do

    By being friendly you are subject to such scenarios and you should be fully prepared to expect this. I myself do not backstab people (more of a KoS/torture guy), but it's still a way to play the game valid as any other.
  21. When you're shot from a higher caliber weapon point blank, you should NOT be surviving no matter what you have on your head, because the sheer force of the bullet will break your neck. It's really annoying landing that headshot and having a guy just fall unconscious. Last night I shot a guy from about 5 meters with an AK101, directly in the head - he had a helmet, and I had to come up to him and shoot him again.. several times, as I'm sure a lot of you noticed it's sometimes really hard to hit someone lying on the floor for some reason when you're on top of them. Anyway, it's a really uneeded hassle and requires you to expose yourself a lot more, either visually or audibly. I've also noticed that people with hats and glasses tend to survive headshots where said articles for some reason "absorb" the damage from what I can tell. A few nights ago I shot a guy at about 200m with an AKM in the head, he had a cowboy hat. Once I approached, I saw that he was STILL alive, hat ruined, but "strong pulse"...

    That's what I'm talking about. It's just unreal to have a guy drop on the floor and stand back up in a minute like nothing happened. Just.. if he has to be unconscious, make it so that he NEVER wakes up from it unless assisted by someone else.

    Guns have already been balanced (sway, dispersion, damage values on .22), so it leads me to believe it's probable that further adjustments are to be made now as opposed to beta, especially on things such as the one I outlined in the OP. I am pretty sure that the guy I shot yesterday point blank had a pristine/worn ballistic helmet, as he fell on the ground, I noticed the texture swapped to ruined (hence confirming it was indeed a headshot and not a bodyshot). I have been following the values and I've yet to see something changed in the last couple of patches. This is not something I've encountered for the first time though, there are many cases, these two are just the most obvious ones where I'm 100% sure that the outcome is not something to be expected within the realm of realism.

    Where do you all go to get your sweet loots?

    I just get the very basics like an SKS and go for a military hot-zone, log out, find a freshly restarted server, join it, sit back and wait for the hoppers.
