You heard it from me. I've witnessed it first hand. But I'll repeat it this time just for you - I shot a guy in CQC with a mosin SQUARE in the head (it was a careful shot, he did not see me so I am positive where I hit) and he woke up after a few seconds - he had a ballistic helmet. Fine. I said move on because you're not convincing me - I know what gloss and mat is, I do 3d modeling for a living, and let me tell you that if this is definitely not half way from mat to gloss. Not even close. The amount reflected is minimal. And I do snipe people, a lot. When I'm in a bush, I never get scoped out (I don't play that noobish regular where I can completely hide either). I always get the drop on people, but when I kill them and go to loot them, sometimes things get messy, and that's where I don't want to take ANY chances. Any other time, I was never saw before my first shot. Of course, you have to take into account your background and outfit color (including helm), but like I said, never had a problem, primarily as a sniper. If you think its not adaptive enough, fine, don't wear it. You're not going to convince me though. -
Ahahahahahah so this is the latest excuse for 3rd person? Mirrors? ;D Let us carry mirrors in our inventory that you have to equip and use (enemy can see your hand) then we can just remove 3pp ok?

They could just replace the sounds with blank files, if whoever is doing the coding is so bad at it the entire game will collapse should they tamper with the random sounds it decides to mix up on its own.

For now difference is that in HC you or anyone else can't use 3rd person view (which is much better imho).

Can confirm it exists, killing hoppers on a daily basis still. I don't get it honestly. If I was a fresh spawn, I'd pick up any gun and just wait for the sever hoppers to get equipped. Nothing easier than having your equipment teleported from a myriad of servers right to you.

I am a FPS player with a lot of history, started with Quake (1) and played every major shooter, a lot of them on local and online tourneys so this may affect my views. When I started this game out I of course began in regular mode. Soon after, I realized everyone and their mother abuses the 3rd person camera to either see how protected/hidden they are, look above walls, past doors, through windows, down buildings, basically, it was a legal hack as far as I'm concerned. It basically levels the playing field, people with absolutely no aiming skill or awareness will be able to get the drop on you because they explit this to no end. Those with the situational awareness can still utilize it but it's far less effective since you'd be able to hear, and predict where the enemy might be. When I started hardcore it was amazing. No more guessing if there's someone behind that hangar standing on the edge but looking right at me, no sir, what you see from your perspective is what you get, if you want to look through that window, sure, but you're gonna expose your pretty head just like you should. My honest opinion, 3rd person is for insecure, if not weak players who need the safety net of being able to scout things without exposing themselves. I pity them, and realize it's completely natural for most people to behave this way.

Had a crowbar, was checking out the school in berezino when I found a guy sitting on the top floor. Started pounding him, gotten at least 6-7 hits off but didn't kill him. Whether or not he died when he respawned I am not sure, but I voted no since I can't confirm the kill. -

I think it sucks. Can get insta-ko'd by fists, and gets instantly killed by mosin.. -
I can't file a bug report if I don't know whats causing it.. but my friend told me that if you SPRINT down staircases you get "damaged" on your legs and thats how you ruin it. I'll test it.

Or we can just combine different spratpaints to form patterns like we can with the mosin. This has nothing to do with the issue at hand tho. -

The thing is a mosin shot is not the only thing the ballistic is going to protect you from. Even frantic CQC will often yield a stray shot to the head. If you can take 1 more shot than the enemy and you're both spraying whatever you have.. chances are that's enough to make you the last guy standing. Mosin CQC is still often the case from my experience. If you hit your first shot, grats, you won the fight. If not, you are most likely dead. -

It's colored in a natural green, which is pretty much all you'd need to blend in. The stuff you stay in isn't of a uniform color and the helm fits most places perfectly. Once the gas mask and other gear gets a proper implementation, perhaps it should be mutually exclusive with the ballistic helmet. They do clip after all. Nobody is disputing that... -

I was the one that suggested the muzzle brake.. And I do agree that there is no need for a tonne of attachments, but Ivd like weapons to have some sort of progression/adaptation phase that fits their original concept. I don't want to have a gazillion tacticool attachments, I'm the last guy that'd want that actually. But just grabbing a PU and calling it a night is not good either.

But it does need something. Currently it's an atrocity to just be able to put on a single scope and a worthless bayonet..

I also found it quite inconsistent when it comes to the damage department. I also think it really lacks attachments/customization.. only the PU scope and bayonet? That's really poor..
