Uhh.. That part is working as intended? Whats your point?Plexico - I know all that,but there should be some way to force low res grass or diffusal maps without hurting performance too much. I say force because optimally you'd be turning it off if you wanted an advantage.

It has random dispersion. You just don't notice it up to maybe 500 meters. -

I am not sure if this is bugged, but today, I headshot a guy, he drops. I know he has a balistic helm, so Im waiting on him to wake up, and he does, and immediatly sits down. I put 4 more bullets in him, to the point where he looks like a bloody fountain, and he just dissapears..

Server hoppers aren't rewarded. Unless of course, by rewarded you mean shot in the head and relinquished of their possessions by me. My daily toll is 10 minimum. So much fun when they get taken out when looking at that shiny loot pile I planted by the window.. conveniently, exactly where I want them. I can actually hear them swear as I loot their bodies. Actually, I'm pretty sure I've killed a lot of users who frequent this forum, I typically come over and say something like "Hi friend, do you mind if I take it from here? What's that? No? Why, thank you!". -
So it was raining, and I was walking through the forest.. you guessed it, it was like a car alarm went off.. beep beep beep. Which gave me an idea so I did a quick PS mockup (I do 2d/3d design for a living) of how I think the icons should be in dayz (minus the sound). At first I went with color, then I thought, hmm, thats not right, and this felt more like it. Icons are wet, bleeding, hungry, thirsty and fracture. I know there's more states but I you get the point.

There is only one way afaik and thats to mute a guy while hes talking. If he stops talking thats the one.

No, this is not Oblivion where you can go anywhere any time because the world scales around you. If you wanna go in a city alone you should be prepared for it or die no matter how many people are fighting over a house in elektro. IMHO extended gunfights should "wake up" / spawn zombies that are inactive, especially in urban areas. That way you can't just expect to fight people and not give a shit about the apocalypse.

Often getting shot doesn't involve bleeding, especially at longer ranges. I've been shot plenty of times since KoSing armed players is my daily activity. Pain doesn't often manifest itself until you moan and someone conveniently finds out that you're there, again, this is typically in the heat of combat. You're not coming off rude, but again you're telling me like what I'm suggesting is hand-holding while this is something already in the game.. -

What you describe seems (to me) a lot more fitting for a single player survival game. Often times, you need to assess situations much more quickly when in the heat of battle with other players. -

Because some things (like rain) would be pretty annoying to be told by your character, like we've seen in the experimental batch. What do you expect when walking a forest (where trees constantly change the status of getting/not getting wet)? The way it's currently working? "I'm getting wet" "I'm not getting wet" "I'm getting wet" "I'm not getting wet" "I'm getting wet" "I'm not getting wet" "I'm getting wet" "I'm not getting wet" "I'm getting wet" "I'm not getting wet" "I'm getting wet" "I'm not getting wet" This is how it is now, with a beep every time you're not getting wet. Obviously, an icon would be much, MUCH better (and no sound). -

The gushing blood as it is, is hopefully a placeholder. But you're in the wrong place, you want to make your own thread and not derail this one with 'get rid of everything', because I'm just suggesting alternatives to whats already there. -

Less is more? Than you'd want icons by your logic, since they take far less screen real estate. Also, you can't just selectively put some things for show klike hunger) while others not, it just doesn't make sense.. Either all or none status effects should be displayed, for consistencies sake. Thx for the comments all, appretiate it. I like the flashing idea.. -

If they tweak damage first and then go back to dispersion, they might need to do it again after because accuracy is a big factor in damage dealt. If they tweak dispersion first and then the damage values it will save them the job of going back and re-evaluating things.

Same damage as the fnx. Bith have horrible dispersion and are worthless past 20 meters.
