I my self prefer 3pp, mainly because I play PVE. I played on numerous mods and servers for both Arma 2 dayz mod and Arma 3 Epoch/Exile. But Dayz standalone is by far worst for me to play in 1pp. Its just so clunky, especialy when fighting infected. On some 3pp servers in Arma it would force to 1pp when you would be in combat (flashing pistol icon), which is OK. One thing I noticed two days ago in Arma 3 on Tanoa map: there are fields of sugar cane (or something similar) higher than player, and when I drow into that camera lowered and didnt let me look over.

Now you need to assemble experimental crew and test with other vehicles and players near.

I think railed Steyr went away with Torchia.... Its time for new assoult rifle, either G36 or M16

While I had real struggle to survive two days ago when I was fresh spawn, last night was walk in the park. I had rain coat and when it was raining I never got cooling off status. Maintaining green energised and hidrated status was easy. Now off to west to find location for my camp.

I had one of harder and maybe best games of Dayz in a long long time. At one point I had to fight zombies, collect materials to build fire, orange thirst and game didn't let me place fire kit anywhere, all in same time. I was an inch from rage quitting, but I decided to fight to the end. And it payed off. I survived. edit: I cant remember having harder time to survive, first 90 minutes were really frustrating

You must make fire indoors, while warming up take off your clothes. I survived two hypothermic status and then gave up and changed server. Its boring siting in front of fire all evening.

I think those shiping containers should be interactive. Maybe in future we could either take them apart and load in regular V3S or load them on V3S chasis truck. Of course, it would require a team of players (driver, loader, and one or more to fend off zombies). There will definetly be basebuilding mods (there is base building on pirated rusian servers). Question is how good they will be. Will they be "realistic" like your concepts or "penis-like" sky scrapers made from 15 logs. I would definetly like to have option to actualy have things to do for weeks or even months. Serius base building should take long.

I held PKT once (detached from APC). That thing is really heavy and you cant sprint with it on your shoulder. Back in dayz mod, some machine guns didnt let you carry backpack in same time. Anyway, it will be huge pain in the ass to load one box of ammo just to spend it in 6-7 seconds. It would be cool if it could be mounted on vehicles.

I played for hour or so. Didn't find anything useful in Berezino. Then rain started and I quickly got freezing and hypothermia status. Finding place to start fire was a bitch. I finally decided to try on hospital roof. I started fire, took all wet clothes off but didn't get warm at all and died in two minutes. This update will mostly be about finding place to warm up.

Like there was any update without flaws. Since April 2012 every update has bugs.

I rather play on private servers, so I can have more different personalities. :) on topic: did anyone test tents against wolves?? Can they get in blue tent or big military tent?? I presume they can walk in in car tent.

Apples should be easy to optain but they should give only marginal nutritional value compared to stomach volume. I just eat 5-6 apples and I get healing status in de-bug. On other hand deer, cow, boar (are they still in game) steaks should be way more nutritional. To bake/cook a steak you need items that take up to 6-8 inventory slots and it should be more revarding.

So its only temporary?

There are snow efects in Arma 3, I saw snow flakes falling on Isla Duala map. But they dont stay on ground. There were hills covered in snow. There is also Winter Chernarus map but I dont like it.
