If only there is money-back option, so Bohemia sends them their money back and dont let them play game untill its 59,99$. On topic: I think they will bring back all missing features one by one in order to find the bug. I was playing 3 hours last night desperatly looking for fishing hook. I searched every building in Novodmitrovsk. I knew some things are missing, but was hoping not that. But I found Mosin and 60 rounds, and cooking accessories. Which will probably desapear on next patch :(

Civilian weapons should have "civilian" calibers and military weapons should have "military" calibers. So you find hunting rifles in houses or taverns, and military gear in military bases. Civilian calibers should be hunting calibers. Offcourse, the better the gear - more danger and more effort to get it. Game should be hard enough to make you play at least few days before you dare to try to loot NWAF or other bases. With hunting, cooking, crafting you can avoid towns (which should be swarmed with zeds - Atlanta TWD)

Only new important thing lately was fireplaces and cooking. Hey dude, I love dayz, and I play SA, Mod and Breakingpoint. Its just we dont actualy SEE any progress devs make. At leat not yet. We dont see navmesh/pahfinding (maybe done already), we dont see 64-bit servers (internaly tested), persistent objects (not yet here), maybe they done some basic vehicle phisycs but we dont know anything about that. New rendering engine? Not yet. When we see more of that on stabile branch. What about new zombie/animal beavior? When we get 4 out 5 of those we can judge. btw, I play only on 0.45 EXP since it was released

New engine or not, we wont see any real progress untill end of this year. Then we can judge more. Untill than only new hats, maybe new guns...

Both sides are right. Mod is better as it has zombies that "work", and there are shitloads of them as it should be. I play mod, and I dont quit untill I kill 100-150 zombies. It has better weapon mechanics, it has vehicles. Vehicles are there to give you something to do (repairing, refueling, even finding them and stealing them). SA on other hand looks better, map is way better, and it will only get better with new towns. SA lacks zombies, ones that are in game are awfull. When I started playing mod I spent all night on my belly so they dont see me. SA has finaly normal inventory system. It has crafting, and you can customise your caracter as you wish. And with new stuff that are coming (some are already in experimental) there will be more accent on survival (finding food, sherter, suplies). Right now, SA is a little beter than deathmatch as you have nothing to do but to look other players to kill them.

Now that Origins dev team gave up on their mod, we can steal their shit. There are great looking buildings in that mod, like Mall, School, big supermarket, Powerplant to make industrial area look better... -

When vehicles are in game we will have something to do. 1. finding vehicles - I guess they will be rare and well hidden 2. finding tools - there are allready 10 different tools, to repair vehicles we will need all tools 3. finding parts - they will be scatered all over the map, and I hope there wont be posible to carry whole engine block in backpack 4. customisation - like in Origins mod, I hope we will be able to reinforce vehicles with metal boards, bull bars, spikes and more

Also, less food in cities - all looted early in outbreak (more hunting needed, people that make bases in cities must constantly go to woods for food, peple that camp in woods must go to cities for medical suplies, bateries, gas, propane, matches, ammo - police stations, gun shops with hunting gear Id like to see in future) All that will make people to migrate around map. -

1. We need more pistols, shotguns, Blaser, sporter on coast and less AKM, M4,SKS 2. Military bases should be swarmed with zombies, I mean realy swarmed - like 30 or 40 (civilians run to bases for last safe places and everybody got infected at one place) 3. Caned food rare - raw meat, vegetables spoiles over time 4. All kind of sickness 5. Random crashsites: a) vehicle convoys with low amount of weapons, but some other gear: clothes, MRE, backpacks, car parts for scaveging; b) heli crashes: medium gear (assoult rifles, ammo, radio, pilot helmets) c) crashed transport plane or war ship (one or two a week per server, atracts lots of zombies - dozens): all kind of loot, lots of ammo, rare weapons, can be spoted from far (atracts more players - PvP spots) 6. Hostile animals in woods - fire keeps them away but posible atracts zombies 7. Crafting, building and car maintence instructions in books (found only in cities) -
Dichina Military base will be great place once baricading is in game. There is not much holes in fences and it has guard towers. It can be good base, its close to towns and close to NWAF to get suplies.

As I can see in all forum and redit posts, Im the only person that prefers killing zombies over players, in mod or in SA. At moment there is not enough zeds in SA. And the ones that are in game are totaly f@cked, they run faster trough walls and floors than in open, they hit you from 5 or more yards, and there is no aggro system. In future, zombies should be slower than now but more in numbers, especially in high loot areas like military objects and airfields (where civilians tried to find shelter from infected). With navmesh and most enterable buildings you can easier lose zeds chasing you because doors and coridors will make choking points. Also, zeds should be configured to folow player or animal that bleeds (or player that holds raw meat in hands) so you can aply different tactics with zeds. I imagine one scenario: group of players go to town to find suplies (matches, ammo, clothes, meds, maybe ammo, gas canisters, car parts, fuel), one player takes high point in town and snipes zeds in town or zeds or zeds coming from woods towards town, while others stay stealth and search for loot.

A bit early for that, this should come at end of year together with L85, Hand Over Ofender and Jackal offroad vehicles, and with British assould backpack.

I have idea for balancing power: make CZ550 more acurate and with better scope, but slover rate of fire and smaller magazine capacity (3 or 4 rounds). That will make first shot count. Let mosin be what it was ment to be - masive produced battle rifle. Also, Mosin needs striper clip ASAP!

"Those of us who are real gun nuts would revolt (but I have a feeling the wider community dosn't give a crap as long as it looks cool :) )" Only 12,5 year old CoD spoiled rich screeming kids dont give a crap!!! One of main reason I play this game is "reality". Game would be 100 times better if you find cool gun, and then desperatly search for right ammo. Then you will have to make decision to look for rare ammo for good weapon or take bad weapon with more common ammo. I liked FAL in mod, but ammo was very rare so I carried id in backpack in hope to find more mags. I hope modders make things right. -
