I think Niva didnt change much in all her production period. It had 2 or 3 engines and few minor exterion changes (headlights and front grill) Volga will be same version that we had in mod and we can find everywhere. I wonder how many parts will there be to colect, and which will be esencial to make vehicles drive. We can drive car without headlights and exhoust, but it has side efects.

Not cool that we cant get at least weekly status report, or what ever its called. Other games in EA have weekly devblogs, and I think they are smaller teams. Hell, there are modding teams that do one or more streams every week, and they work for free. I like how team that makes 2017 mod has regular streams with work on their new map. Some other teams also did streams while working on game. I cant belive that DayZ is so secret. Are they afraid someone will steal their ideas?? In my opinion, best competition for SA comes from their own backyard, its Arma 3 mods and DayZ mod! I think there is enough people working on game that they can spare 4 or 5 hours weekly to make devblog or at least monthly video blog.

I dont do farming, I only search for apples and berries, and I wont starve. Its not problem in CLE or hunger/thirst mechanics. Problem is in players themseves. Early dayz spoiled players with M4/Mosin/AKM in every Police station/granny house on coast. Also, cans everywhere... Most of players, I thing at least 75% thought that dayz will be same only with new guns every month. Now that game is going ti its intended direction towards survival game, people cant do their PvP Berezino/Electro squad wipe/deathmatch sessions and they come to forum and reddit and whine. I just want to ask them one thing: why they cant see with all crafting, tools, survival options where game is going. Why would devs lose time with hand drill, or all things you get from skinning animals, or crafting leather clothes or things like that if they are making twitch shooter?? People who want good PvP experience should try Arma 3 mods. There arent many real hard survival games on marked, even less multiplayer games. Let us strugle, let us search for that apple that will save u from starving to death, let me decide if I will cut some sticks with badly damaged knife or I will save it for skining boar. -

I hope devs make Battle royale mod as soon as it is posible. It will drag away all squeeking kids, KOSers, hackers and general assholes from survival game we want to play.

No final goal in this game. Maybe one: stay alive as long as you can (kind a stupid without counter). You should have check that before buying game. There will allways be new content to be busy with, like vehicles, base building, missions... But in the end there is no final goal.

I dont consider Epoch and Overpoch as dayz mods. No one kills zombies, or hides from them. Overwatch had more zombies, but it was mostly PvP. SA is great, but lacks "things" to do. In mod you have to search for vehicle parts and building materials. And sometimes this can keep you busy for few days. I love SA very much, but since I dont do PvP it gets somewhat boring (giving up on CLE in .55 made it boring IMO).

I never got chance to play aftermath before it was watered down with 1.8. dayzmod patch. If someone could combine features from Origins, Aftermath and vanilla dayz 1.8.5. I think that mod would be even with SA or even better than SA (until 1.0). Crafting, base building, those awesome looking upgradable vehicles, atachments for weapons in 1.8.5, awesome looking zombies - all that combined....

Origins mod has it own launcher now. Its not dead yet, but there arent much more players than in vanilla mod, 400-something players last night when I was on. They have new patch in preparation, with amazing locations like submarine pen, big dam and big bridge. Taviana 3,2 (modified for Origins) has beatifull locations, especialy new islands that can compare even with SA map. If someone can make Origins mod for standalone he deserves Oscar for moding.

I love dayz mod a lot. I allways go back to it between SA updates. Try Origins mod, it has lots of extra features. Also, zombies are scary as hell (dark, glowing eyes).

Probably. Lieing in bed for two weeks after every tme you are wounded would chase away few players from dayz.

Other things are less accelerated (cooking, hunger, thirst) but this is just too much.

I never liked horticulture, I only planted gardens to see how they work. The fact that potato or pumpkin plants grow in 15 minutes really turns me away from game. There should be more ways in actually finding food. Like searching garden plots, greenhouses or those pumpkins that are on ground for leftovers or self grown plants. I had few characters when CLE was on, and spending a minute on picking apples every ten minutes was not fun killer.
