I would try it, but I dont have much time for playing. I dont know how multiplayer looks like. We dont need much baricading, maybe posibility to stuck something to doors to buy time to bandage, reload weapons and maybe eat or drink. -

Not having zombies in DayZ sucks!!! First week of .55 was awesome, maybe best time I had in DayZ. I killed maybe 15-20 but I spent most of my time crawling and hiding. Food was rare on coast, gear was random (outhouses). Ill play only experimental until zeds get back in game. I hope they can climb ladders, and open doors (not instantly after you, maybe after 20-30 bangs on doors). I liked that video Zombo posted. Even zeds were glitchy, buggy and overall stupid, I like how they punish wrong decision (like entering wrong house). -
Mistreated, HIZI -> USA Dayz -> ex USSR (poor as chirch mouse) Second reson is, they started development after Dayz, read what people complained and they did different in their games. They have advantage to learn from Dayzs mistakes.

I pretty much stopped playing stable because of lack of zombies. There are many different ways to play dayz, but every would be more difficult and challenging with zombies around. -
I had worst rig on this forum, but I invested 25$ in Core™2 Duo E8600, and got 4 GB of RAM as a gift. Now I have solid 15 FPS in big cities. Tried it with my old CPU and it turned game into slide show, same with Fraps. I think Ill have some time tomorow to try messing with recording.

SA needs zombies. There was never enough zombies, and when there was for a short period of time they were slow and not in groups. Mod zombies still wipe the floor with any other game zombies. HIZI,SA,BP...they all have zombies just as ornaments. In mod zeds climbed ladders, growled all the time. They killed you if you weren't careful. I got killed dozens of times because I was trapped in building and 15 zeds filled the room. Ambiental music was awesome. But best thing was that game was new and unexplored. Dayz is here for 3 and a half years, and honestly I am getting a bit bored. Lack of zombies is not helping at all. -
Upstairs is transfomer unit. There is no space there for players

Give us some more info on status of infected. I remember Peter posted video where some 50 zeds chase him, they never looked remotely that good on exp or stable.

Zombies are still terrible, if you ask me. OK, there is finally lots of them...But, they all move the same, sometimes syncronised. They all go towards one same point, they should try to soround you. They should have different movements. They should run at different speeds.... There is still lots of work before we get descent zombies. Ill wait. -
I'm just a player, don't know thing about programing, but I'll ask my friend. He had that on his servers.

It is posible in some sub-mods. I did that in Origins, but with rope.

Why not bandit and hero AI on SP? It would be cool to create survivor scenarios. There were great missions and scenarios before DayZ was released. I think it was Chernarus Apocalypse. I saw few videos and it had great atmosphere, plus I love coop games. And, no need to pay for server.

DayZ REALLY needs to add basebuilding or barracading

I don't know how base building work, but I'm worried. I hope it won't look even close to systems in epoch or rust and games like that,where you make 15 planks from one log. Or you can carry 10 cinder blocks in your backpack. I think that without working vehicle inventory and persistence we can't have any kind of base building. Best building system I saw is in Origins mod.There you have to wait for one for foundation to be built. -
Are in-game workbenches for crafting still in plans? Advanced crafting was not mentioned for few months now.

I think I heard Sumrak is working with dayz devs on Namalsk for standalone.

When devs fix the reason why zombies/infected cause bad server performance. No ETA. 0.55 update had highest zombie population.Unfortunately, dayz development goes in the way that every change in engine that devs make creates or reveals new big problem. Devs fix it eventually, but what seams like week to us is short time for them because we can't see the sizeor difficulty of problem.

I dont think we will carry entire engine or wheel like we did in mod. Mod was too limited. But we should be able to carry/stear tires without rims. That is heavy but not imposible (at least not for cars). To take out engine from car, and even more to put it back you need crane and a lot of knowledge. So I think we will have lot of smaller but important parts like spark plugs, belts, radiator, maybe cables.
