OK, I wonder who will be "survival evangelist" on next scrum. I dont know single one streamer that played survival/PVE style. There are few hardcore survival/PVE on forums, and maybe devs should contact them.

IMO, zombie situation was best at .42 or something. Weapons and ammo were plentifull and zeds were respawning instantly. Yes they were buggy and saw you from miles away but they could you chase you out of town if you were alone or had slow fire weapon. Then there was .55 with zombies with sensors which worked 90% well, but zombies moved like on 5 FPS. In .55 I spent more time sneaking around zeds than in mod. I decided not to play SA untill devs dont bring zombies back in suficent numbers. Ill play .59 exp but Ill put stable on hold. -
I think there is nothing revolutinarly to come in DayZ that we havent seen in original mod or varius sub-mods. Everything that will be in SA on release just needs to be transfered to new engined and more detailed. That is why he left. He wants to make new game, not to watch grass growing (SA develepment). I saw he likes "different" games, and I dont know his old projects so Im interested how will his new game look like.

It will be like that from now on. It probably feels boring now without zombies, but it will only get harder good loot fast and easy. If you want fast action, wait for mods. There will be mods with tons of military weapons like Overwatch was for dayz mod -
Maybe zombies spawning should work like in the mod. Maybe with increased range. There is no point having zombies in Bor or Kamenka if no one ever goes there.

I played some crazy DayZ mod servers with T-72 tanks, BMP-3s, ZIS-4-24 AA self propelled guns, Stiker SPG, LAV personel carriers, one had USMC Amphibius landing vehicle (didnt have chance to try if it was amphibius, AI Mi-24 helicopters desytroyed it on the way to coast). While it was fun for some time, maybe two-three hours, quickly became boring. Every armoured vehicle is way overpowered and you need either RPG or some kind of artilery. If you want that, just play Arma,

That is case with current zombies (I hope they dont stay like this) where they all run to single spot and tend to stand in same spot when atacking you. But what if they atack you from different directions, what if takes 5-6 body shots to kill them? Devs have these zombies somewhere in internal builds, but we never saw them in game... :( -

You are wrong. We just need lots and lots of zombies. They dont have to be very smart. But they should be able to climb ladders, break trough doors or enter trough windows (not at same moment behind you, but to let you rest for minute or two). And there should more different zombie models (that is WIP and confirmed). But numbers are most important. Once they dont let you stand in place and combine your inventory for 5 minutes, or give you only enough time just to quickly pick up item on ground, then zombies will be treat. When they climb to best sniper nests or camping places, then this game will be complete. -
Maybe some more infected. Id like to see Red9 and Scorpion machine pistol. They were confirmed long ago. Also I hope devs upgrade vehicle maintence mechanic. One glowplug for 6 cilinders of V3S engine???

Hmmmm....when you think more deply, that tank would be great place for scavenging parts and ammo. It has few hundred 7,62x54R rounds, 12 glowplugs, big bateries, maybe AKS74Us in side, not to mention how much diesel fuel it can hold. It would be interesting dinamic event one of these every 12 hours spawns somewhere in woods behind big rock.

What really hurts me is that devs don't mention zombies as much as CLE or weapon sway or coloring t-shirts. It hurts me more since I saw new zombie mod for Arma 3. Zombies in dayz were dangerous only because of desync when they used to hit you from other side of town. Last time zombies killed me in mod was awesome scene, like in TWD. Even with all the tricks I know how to lose zombies on that location one sneak behind me and broke my legs with one hit. Instantly 6 or 7 others started kicking me and there was nothing I could do but to watch my life fade away. I fired two magazines from Sa58 but that only attracted more of them. We don't need complicated CLE, if there is 20-25 zeds in every high loot area that are hard to kill. -
Will we EVER see DayZ get to this level of gruesome?

There should be zombies with missing limbs, knives and axes in their back. And corpses of survivors killed by zombies should be bloody and half eaten. -

I feel the same. Nothing revolutonary is this update. I mean, return of persistence is important, new CLE is cool, introduction of vehicle reparing is OK... But other than that nothing special. Maybe something under the surface that we cant see. Still no zombies, whatI cant stand. Makes game boring. Ill probably play until I find tent and set it up in Prud castle. -

Back in mod we could hide tent inside rocks, so only small part of tent was visible. I wonder if we can do this in SA. Area north of Berezino was popular for doing that, there were big rock formations in the woods. Now that area is out of usual routes when NEAF is military location any more. -

Player interactions in DayZ are stupid. From what I read, everybody that see another player runs to him and wants to talk to him. And then wonder if they get shot or lack of comunication. Hell, I dont want to comunicate to anyone, especialy armed people. Lets say Im searching for one specific item I cant find for two or more hours, last thing I want to see is someone with bush rag on his head running to me and yelling: Heyyy budyyyyy!!!. Piss off, I have enough of my problems. If I see another player, I turn away and leave. -
I was playing dozen or so hours in .58 and I nticed all servers are on accelerated time setings. Am I the only one who doesnt like this. In theory its good idea, but I dont think its nessesary any more, no that server reset is every 12 hours. What I really didnt like is super fast day to night changes. Its apsurd, and that looked way way better in .42 update. Lets look at that like this: you are in big city or military base durring night, sneaking and carefully moving trying not get noticed and BAM!! SUPRIIIIISE!!! Its day and everybody and everything can see you. Where did normal day/night transition go? Where you had time to get out of city before it gets to light. Whats the point of accelerated ime anyway? Whats wrong with 2h day - 2h night with 10 minutes transition period? Now its like: day! night! day! change every half hour.

With soft skills coming, I hope my friends return to dayz. We always had different roles in our group. Also more detailed repairing mechanics will make game interesting again.

Used to be zombie game... EDIT: I must bother people with my dayz mod nostalgia. As I was watching old videos of my mod adventures I noticed that if there were more players in a group more zombies spawned. It was endless stream of zeds and you had no time to look where they spawn. We once atracted 30-40 in fire house and they just kept coming as replacement for killed ones. That was never the case in SA. Everybody say: players are biggest danger in dayz. Yes, that is true but with map so big you cant allways be where others players are. Eventialy you must go to Staroye, Msta, Nadhezino to find some gear. Without zeds its just walk trough empty supermarket. I had great adventure in new Dayz Decay mod (that is basicly DayZero rip-off with few new things aded). I got into cammo building in Balota AF which is now enterable. And while I was searching medicine cabinets 5 or 6 zeds got inside. While playing SA in last month or so I got careless and forgot how zeds can be dangerous. I killed few but atracted new ones. I managed to get out but my blood was one line above empty. I had to eat 5 cans just get one quorter od blood back so I can see anything. In my 850+ hours in SA I was killed maybe 5 times by zeds. Two times when I was AFK, and other 3 times when I rushed to barn with no weapons at all. -
I feel almost the same. I play dayz for 2 and half years. I started playing vanilla mod, then other mods and maps, then SA, then Arma 3 epoch..... Looks like Im over fed with dayz of all kind. Not ranting, but few steps back in SA develepment dindnt helt either (no zombies and no persistence). Im going on vacation for 2 weeks, maybe there will be something new when I come back :)

HIZI bases are butt-ugly, all cubic.From what I read on reddit there are dozens of ways of blocking entrance with stupid items like furnaces, sleeping places, barbecues and things like that. I'm disappointed that zombies were not mentioned, like devs don't even try to fix them

Loot distribution is cool but it's not enough. I managed to get weapon,ammo, food, bottle, some tools in less than an hour on medium pop server. But it felt too easy. We need zombies. What I want is to be hard to get that item that you finally find. I want to fight zombies for every can of bacon. I want to feel tired after I played few hours, not bored. I hope we get that feeling again soon.
