    People are lazy. No one remembers collecting 12 winshields to stop fuel leaking from Mi-8. They never felt that joy feeling when you take off with heli after 2 days of collecting parts and two hours of refueling with one jerry can.

    You run in house nad close doors, quickly look for loot and/or bandage wounds, reload weapon...that takes 2-3 minutes. Lets make doors last five minutes... Enough time to catch breath and escate on back exit. Why not there be situations when you have to stop looting and run out of town because you aggroed zombies?

    I never ment breaking trough with fists. Did you ever saw people charging at doors with shoulders? There are plenty of old or thin or just crappy doors all over Chernarus. Especialy on old houses, wooden houses, pistol houses, shacks... Best and almost unbreakable doors would be on industrials shacks and workshops. Edit: they are not DEAD DECOMPOSING zombies, but they sure lost most of their brain functions and sanity.

See how long it takes, and see what kind of shape your hands are in afterwards." - maybe first two or three give up but third or fourth eventualy break doors. Or they break trough simply with mass of all of them pressed against doors. "the fevers where you aren't sure if you are awake or dreaming, and try to climb a ladder." - I think even retarted monkeys can climb ladders, why wouldnt blood thirsty rabied humans? "Oh, and they aren't "zombies" " - oh, 97% of players call them zombies

    SA zombies/infected are terrible at the moment! And they dont improve at all over time. Early in alpha we had jumping zombies, we had hoping zombies. Now all zombies look like copy/paste of one zombie. If you spent some time fighting them they all want to stand in same exact point compared to you and sometimes they have syncronised movement. They all have same atack animation at exact same moment. They also sometimes run in same position. There are no new zombie models in game since old farmer zombie (I didnt see him since .52 or something like that)... Im very disapointed, almost no impruvements since introduction of navmesh. Why zombies dont break trough doors? Maybe not imidiatly, maybe after 5-6 minutes. Or 10 minutes if you locked the door. Why they cant climb ladders yet? I had high hopes when devs anounced they will bring "Z" back in DayZ.

  8. I played on lot servers with AI patrols. There were bandits and survivors AI. I think in Vanilla and Overwatch mod, cant remember any more. I remember on Overwatch server we had patrols in vehicles, helicopters shooting at players (if heli shot downs, sometimes pilot survives and atack). I dont know how would that work on lokal server.

    Soft skills will only help people that play dayz as survival game. It won't help people that refuse to leave the coast. Us survivors will sometimes rather hunt animals instead of eating canned food. We will rather try to be stealthy around zombies instead of trying to punch them. I saw lots of complaints that standalone is becoming too complicated compared to mod. It's true, and I like that. Devs just have to make distribution of different items around the map and "force" players to travel around map. Like: car parts on coastal cities, weapons on north west, building materials on north East, advanced medical supplies in Pavlovo base..

    I did say it was posible. I didnt say it instatly works 99% perfect. Check that video and you will see it works quite well. But, if it is posible and devs give us all server files needed it will work eventualy.

    I once saw short video of Namalsk map ported to DayZ standalone. Or was it only few screenshots. Im not sure any more. So it is posible. I hope it will be posible completly, and with all comunity made maps. I like Lingor and Taviana (Origins version). EDIT: I found video from pirated server. Its definetly Namalsk map in dayz engine and it has strange mix of Arma2 and SA items and weapons.

    Zombies do matter after all...

    To me, looks like lots of people dont like zombies at all. I just cant imagine dayz without them. Yes, they were dumb in mod but they sure killed new players in first few attempts and easily killed freshspawns. Zombies in standalone were not very dangerous until .55. Some say zombies are just an anoyance. Well I think they should be anoying. They are what brings survival aspect to this game. How? Well is they occupy big towns and cities players will have to "live of the land". This where hunting and crafting come important. While waiting for .59 I started playing Arma3 mods. I found one server with brutally hard zombies. They spawned 6-8 every minute, they were fast, they were hard to kill and they were noisy. It was frustrating to play first few days because we died every 15-20 minutes. But at the end I felt exhousted after playing two hours on that server. But I felt good because I really had to fight survive. I had to kill dozes of zombies to pick up some look at baracs. I hope zombies will be that punishing one day. When you raid NWAF or Mishkino, after you have feeling you really achived something (if you survive). Add PvP to that and dayz will be awesome.

    You are both right. I love dayz mod, and I still play it sometimes. But I love content, and lots of it. Mod and SA split their way. Some things that SA now has were available in some sub-mods (paper and matches for fire,crafting bandages and splints, cannibalism, Origins mod now has more detailed vehicle repairing and skills...) Maybe Rocket would do all those things in dayz mod but he got chance to make SA. Truth is that SA sucks at this stage, but it can only improve.

    If there are 1pp and 3pp servers, where is the problem? You play on server you like. Why cancel out second option?

    What changed with DayZ?

    I'm now multiplayer addict, I play dayz mod or Arma3 mods which are really good and getting better and better every week. If you played mod, you know how much different every server can be. Mods are really good, but survival part will never be as detailed as in standalone. I mean, where do you get 5 different items when you kill a cow? All those items must be used for crafting useful items. If devs spend time designing things like that, you can't say PvP is priority and basic aspect of game. Sadly, all that is now not necessary because there are no zombies, food is easy to find or some mechanics are simply broken.

    I saw friends playing ir, and looks frustrating hard. I didn't say it's not good. What I like in dayz is co-op, playing and surviving with my virtual friends (I play with people from other countries and different continents). Best moments in dayz were when we went to raids in zombie infested areas. Please devs, give us game like that. If people want fast PvP they should play Arma 3 mods. Let us fight deceases, hunger, cold and zombies in peace.

    I think dayz is only online survival game, while there are many online shooters. Leave us survivors with at least one real, hard, though and frustrating survival game. I think once devs put all things together DayZ will be good.

    Status Report - 15 Oct 2015

    Q:Is shooting from vehicles still in plans? Will there be more commercial vehicles like pick-up or vans (like ones in mod). Last night I played latest Origins mod update and new thing is that you need different tools for repairs of different parts. Since we have all those already in game, will it be like that in dayz? Can't change tire without tireiron,or battery without small wrench and screwdriver.

    Great devblog. But it just makem me even more frustrated with waiting for all this good stuff. And some other stuff mentioned in earlier reports (advanced crafting, new weapons, radios, base building...)
