    Some things never change

Spawned near Cherno... Weapon clicks of someone spawning in... Did we just go through a time-warp or something?

    Berezino spawning the only spawn?

The spawns have been moved primarily to the East Coast, with most of them being in Berezino, yes. The reason was to get people off of the South Coast (Balota/Elektro) to lessen the "Death Match" feel of the game, although switching spawn points didn't do anything but change the location of the "Death Match". As far as I know it's not a temp fix, and is how it's going to be for some time, I would personally like it if they would spread out the spawns even more, but with the game being as it is ALPHA, and with there not being much to do besides gear up, and either become a hermit up North, or be part of the PvP the mentality of the playerbase will stay as is, until more incentives to co-operate and work together are put into the game.
  3. All three examples are people with guns, those guns being capable of killing me, so yes they are all threats to my group as well as my personal safety, so I reduce the threat of me dying by removing said threat and killing them, people barely kitted out are only looking for better gear, people with only pistols would be looking for primaries such as the ones my group or myself are using, and the kitted out guys would do anything not to loose the gear they have on them, so all share the same intent of bettering themselves and surviving, meaning it's either them or the group I'm with and even if I was alone.
  4. I've been wondering for a while why people believe that tactics and formations they have learned while in the military or read from a book or even watched in a video work in a PC game such a DayZ SA which is full of bugs/glitches and cheaters being in the Alpha stage of development. Now don't get me wrong, I'm all up for using common sense tactics and I don't run willy-nilly over/across a field on a populated server, ect. But it's when you go overboard with having to run in a Diamond formation, or doing some Button-hook manuever to clear a building, or classifying groups as alpha/omega/beta/epsilon ect. that I believe is way too much for a GAME, where these real life things won't work as well or at all because its a GAME and not real life. I believe that this isn't a Military sim 2014 game, and I am in no way telling people not to play a certain way because that would be pretty foolish lol.... So what tactics do you feel are useable or wise in a GAME such as DayZ SA?
  5. I'm using a Mosin + Sawn-off currently, and yeah it's pretty dang loud so I can't be too Stealthy, is there a well rounded setup for Stealth related tactics, I am thinking the M4 + FNX or no sidearm at all?

    Invisible Nubs?

Had a similar experience when one of my clan mates and I where in Berezino on a high-pop server, we where in a spot sniping that there is 0/zero chance of someone being able to get behind us to shoot at us or whatever. But suddenly we came under attack by someone directly behind us, I spun around just in time to see a muzzle flash and nothing else such as a person or anything, and then I was dead, I have a feeling that it's either a very rare glitch, or a unknown hack of some sort that cheaters use to win firefights, lol...

When is it ok to disconnect.

It was the servers fault not yours, you did the right thing.
  8. Pro-tip: Don't Face-tank Zombies, learn to move out of the way and circle-strafe them while aiming about 1/2 inch above their head. Honestly I have no problems downing a Zombie in 1 to 3 hits to the head with my Fireaxe, it's all about timing your swings, and moving around them in a counter-clockwise circle.

The mean thing I do in DayZ SA

I do the same exact thing, since closed doors put people at ease, and open ones would alert them to me being there, and them shooting me for taking "their" loot.

    Finally I'm a hero

It's great to hear that you have gone from being a bandit and are now a hero, I find the hero playstyle a lot more rewarding and interesting than just shooting everything that moves, lol...

    Could somebody please kill me?

would help if you told us where you are on the map, or at least a guess.

    Extremely weird

I have had this happen to my friends and myself recently, it happens most when we are losing connection or get dropped all the sudden and then rejoin the same server quickly, we will spawn in next to our "double" and as I have found out that if your double dies, you have 2x the loot you had previously, which is cheating even if accidental and I promptly hide my body.

    Favorite Form Of Banditry?

Banditry? You mean there is people who don't just shoot on sight, and call themselves bandits, strange.....
  14. comikz

Im so done with this game.

So... You geared yourself up to "defend" yourself against, what, other players/zombies I am guessing. Just because you have a Ballistic helmet on doesn't protect you vs. Melee combatants (Hence it being a BALLISTIC helmet.), if your looking for something to protect vs. Melee, you need to get yourself a Motocross helmet or if you want to RP as Bob the Builder go with a Yellow hard-hat.

    Was I sniped?

Sounds like the Desync monster got you and your body went right through the wall and you fell to your death, happened to me twice in Elektro a few days back.

    Tactical Position Berenzino

I find the area with all the cranes and large 2bay garages a good spot, as well as all the storage containers is a good spot to counter snipe from and take cover in, since most people who are there for the PvP are either like you said, in/on the apartments, mini-sniper hill, large sniper hill to the west of the apartments, and the three story buildings leading up from the south towards the clinic/church.

    Missing gun: Found :)

I left a Fully Kitted M4 + Four 60 Round Magazines at NWAF on top of the ATC once, bet someone was REALLY glad they checked the roof that day, lol...

Do you allow others to rob you?

Yeah I allow them to rob me, I mean it beats getting KoS'd any day of the week. Although I never usually travel alone, and allowing them to rob me buys my team time to get in position to reacquire my gear, lol...
  19. I am quiet the same as you, I see it as the clothes don't define the player, their actions and how they interact with others do. Even if their fully kitted in Military gear with a Payday mask on, it's still how they act that defines them.

    Bandits ruin this game

I know full well of having health concerns and playing DayZ. I myself am a Heart patient, have High-blood pressure, Anxiety/Depression ect. But Bandit's/KoS'rs make this game out to be what it is, and I wouldn't have it any other way, when they add in more content like building bases, constructing vehicles, and hunting/cooking, there will be less of a focus on PVP and more of a focus on playing the game. And if you where in Elektro, and didn't see the dudes/dudettes, they where most likely using Mosins and sniped you.
  21. True, and I didn't mean to start a fight, it's just that the majority of people who say, "There's not much to do, beyond PVP", are the people who have explored a minimal portion of the map, just enough to get geared and then say, "Well that was nice, I'm bored, I'm going to go PVP". But there has to be some reason that people gravitate towards one are and only that area will they PVP, and I believe that they are scared, I mean when there where spawns in Kamy/Elektro and heck even sometimes in Cherno, people would PVP in Elektro, now since those spawns no longer exist and the majority of them now being in/around Berezino people PVP there, hence my reasoning to why people are frightened to PVP anywhere outside of the central "Hub" of spawn points.
  22. I didn't mean to have the Spawn points be smack dab right into NWAF or any other as people refer to them as "High-end Loot" areas, it just annoys me that I can travel 75% of the map and see nobody and then get to the new "Hotspot" and everyone crammed there because their too frightened to fight anywhere they can't simply run back to. Oh, and people who say "Ohh there's nothing to do besides PVP", are extremely narrow minded, and are just trying to justify them gunning people down, because of the lack of content....

    Perks/skills/professions/stats

I would like to see something like this be worked into the game somehow, would be nice to be able to pick out who you where prior to the Apocalypse. Where you a Engineer? Where you a Teacher? Where you a Scientist? Where you a Carpetner? Where you a Military man/woman? Ect. I would like to see this yes, professions held prior to the Apocalypse should hold some sort of non-gamebreaking sway over how your character performs, but there needs to be disadvantages as well to keep the "balance".
  24. I would honestly LOVE for them to spread out the spawn points so that the entire map gets seen, far too many people will run to a good loot spot, such as NWAF/NEAF or Balota, loot up and get fully kitted, then go to the "Hotspot" and PVP till they either run out of ammo, or get themselves killed. I'de like to see places to the North/North-West have spawn points put in, because I find it ridiculous that my team and I, can travel from NWAF > Vybor > Green Mnt. > Zelenogorsk > Papalova > Balota > Cherno and even Elektro now and maybe see three people on our journies, and then BAM as soon as we get closer to Berezino, it's like a nuke went off and every bush/window/tree has eyes, lol.... This is all on a 40/40 person server, It really saddens me to see all the work they put into this game for only a handful of zones getting any sort of action or visitors... The big reason for this is though, that people absolutely REFUSE to PVP where they can't simply respawn and get back to their body within the 10 minute marker, ect.
  25. To me people generally do not want any sort of "interaction" with other players because of the fear of being shot/killed/tortured/wounded(broken legs.) ect. and losing their "precious" gear, that they have slaved hours at hopping servers for all the right parts to their "kit'. After reading your story in your original post, I see you didn't do anything wrong, you gave clear and concise directives to ensure that he/she would come out of this alive, yes many a person has told me, "I'm friendly, if you put you gun away, your free to leave, ect." which ends in me being the naive person that I am, believing said person/people and walking out of a building only to get lit up seconds later by these so called, "friendlies". Now this doesn't mean there aren't truly good people playing DayZ, because in my 1070+ hours of gameplay I have met dozens of nearly to fully kitted players who want nothing more to go about their business and get what they need, I have made many in-game friends who had the upper hand on me and still wanted to talk and to see if I needed anything they had, ect. I will add though, it all has to do with your tone and how you phrase things when giving out directives/orders ect. I can typically tell the difference between someone stating their friendly and they wont shoot me, by the way they talk and the tone they use when talking, so if I was you I would try to talk as nice and up beat as possible, while still having an authoritative tone while giving out ultimatums. Lastly, it's the people who post about how players in DayZ always KOS or always resort to "Banditry" or post YouTube videos about KOS'ing and even Twitch TV feeds that spread the fear of any sort of "Interaction" being bad and that they should just murder everyone they come across to be safe. P.S. To the people who are harping on this guy about his actions and how he was wrong and how you feel that anyone in that situation should fight, need to put away your e-peens, take a chill pill, and go get some fresh air.
