Used Stream VOIP for a while. Worked alright with 5 people, but got a little busy when we all wanted to talk. Been using Skype recently with 3 others with good success. That is now my go to. I need to try Teamspeak though.

I just want pedal bikes. Nothing more, at least right now.

Both can be just as effective - if you know how to use them. A lot of people tend to rock the M4 in full auto all the time, long or short range. That throws off the accuracy considerably. If you fire it in repetition (single shot), then you've got much more control over where your rounds are hitting. Sure, you might not get as many rounds downrange, but they will be more accurate. Real life effective range of M16/M4 based weapons is 300-400m as well. I have no qualms using the M4, and when I do I try to get the suppressor, bipod, MP stock and one of the red dot sites. I avoid the ACOG as it induces too much tunnel vision. I've only had brief dealings with the SKS, but I love it. SKS is my choice any day, even with no attachments. Reaches out past the M4 with more punch (as expected being 7.62 vs 5.56) with irons and drops guys like mad. Since the SKS was introduced I've found more SKS ammo than any others. Even close range I prefer the SKS as I know it's gonna drop the guy, provided I hit him on the first shot.

I know it is. We've been getting some new dudes in lately who arn't set up at all, IE using laptop mics with no headphones in/etc. We've given them the info they need for a headset. I've personally got a SteelSeries Siberia V2 that works great. Not everyone wants to pony up the dollars though... (One of these dudes was on chat at the time, which is the source of the horrible sound).

It's a connection issue between you and the server. I get it when a server restarts (thus losing connection). Are you trying on the same server, or different ones? If you've been trying on the same server then jump on another and see what happens.

For a while I had a bug where everything would be blurry at random times, or when I logged in. The only solution was to open up my video options, then it would correct itself without me changing everything (everything would suddenly get defined and not blurry at all). Give that a try.

Mine is getting KoS'd when I'm a 100% new spawn. Go ahead, waste your ammo, you're only gonna get some rags and a flashlight/battery!

If I'm going serious, then anything olive drab. I've got a picture my buddy took showing me about 20 feet away from him and all you can see is my face. He didn't realize I was that close until I said "here I am". But if I'm just playing around, or trying to run into people I'll pick whatever looks good!

Hey fellow gamers, just wanted to drop off the link for a new DayZ series that I'm making with some friends. This is our first video called "DayZ - Bandit Time! - Episode 1: I can be banditz?" Check it out here: http://youtu.be/vA-IoDX7R14 This is the first time I've done a video like this, so I've already started a list on what needs to be refined in my eyes: - Intro could be flashier (will come with experience) - Need to invest in a better mic (using the one on my steelseries Siberia V2 headset). Suggestions on what to save towards? - Occasional framerate/audio stutters. I've been using Shadowplay to record, and that's been my only issue with it (aside from capping video files at 3.8GB). Anyone have any solution suggestions? - Editing needs to be tighter to reduce "low/flat" moments (again, experience/used Win Movie Maker this time, recommendations?) I hope you enjoy it! Drop any comments/criticisms. I think the video is a good start, but there's definitely a lot of room for improvement!

I've been hearing cans opening/ammo being loaded/unloaded everywhere for the last week or so. Doesn't matter where - in a city, town, or the middle of the woods. Keeps tripping me out, thinking there's someone always 10 feet from me haha. My buddy gets the same thing.

I also use Shadowplay. I've been really happy with it so far, minus a little bit of studdering in the recorded footage now and then (remember it's in beta). Just downloaded the new update, so going to record at 30 FPS vs 60 to test.
