All I had was an axe, so I waited a few moments, then charged in like a hooker on crack, whacking him twice on the head, he plummeted to the floor like a sack of marbles. I laughed as I ran to the tree, with a new m4, 400 rounds and so much food, I could have given it to other bambis. But I didn't. I ate heartedly under that big tree in Berezino. I would have drank my coffee black, which oddly, is the same color as my soul. The m4 had nothing but pristine parts, and I thought about how angry that player probably was, but I used his anger to fuel me. Yess.. Yeeessss.

If being a hero is approaching 2 heavily armed players with nothing more than a shovel and the air in your head, well, F being a hero. Actually, if you've played 30 hours and cant find a gun- thats your issue, not the games. I found a gun in the first 30 minutes of being a fresh bambi and I didnt SH or go to a military base last night. Not sure how it is now, but that was last night. To me, the whole thing can be solved relatively pretty easy. Right now, there is a failure because most weapons spawn at the military bases, so, naturally, everyone goes there. Solutions are simple: 1.) have weapons spawn in randomly in random places. Its not so far fetched to find a gun in a home now, is it? Russians didnt have guns? 2.) lower the spawn rate of weapons at military bases that way, its not mandatory to go there for a weapon. 3.) have loot/weapons spawn in at random times, that way there's no need to SH and zero need for a timer, and no need for a hunt for a "fresh server". 4.) combat log timer is mandatory 5.) have 30 bambi spawns all over the map- dont limit it to the coast- anywhere a town is is fair game.

Let's start with the basics. This is a katana. Samurai used these to protect themselves. They did not use it for decorations or chopping wood. These used it for killing and maiming people. It is considered a "weapon". This is an M4. This is NOT a hunting rifle. Its also a "weapon". It was designed to kill people. Hint: when you see someone pointing one of these at you, it might result in a bad day. Arguments: "I'm friendly" This might very well be true. But shouting this at a non-friendly player does not automatically make them friendly. "Why shoot me? All my stuff will be ruined." True, it will become ruined. But A.) You might have a rifle/axe/handgun and are only talking to be to later kill me so Im at protecting myself by eliminating that risk. B.) Being in Polano with nothing but an empty town and birds chirping is boring, so that person might want to have some fun and kill you. "But all my stuff is RUINED WHY WOU...Shhhhh, hot pants. Shooting people is fun. There is a lot at risk, so that makes it enticing and exciting. There's zero excitement in hiding in a town with nothing to do, so people up the antes and shoot each other. C.) Look above at the M4 picture. That gun is meant to shoot people. Now in case you are in a fit of rage having just died in Dayz and didn't read or catch that, an M4 is meant to shoot people. People being the operative word. So to argue logic, that player is using the M4 how it is meant to be used- to shoot people. You dont hunt game with an assault rifle unless you're Rambo. You use it to kill people. "Why can't be all be happy and cheerful and get along?" A.) Its the zombie apocalypse, there is a total breakdown of society and a police state. You really think people are going to get along? Like the Walking Dead, your biggest fear is PEOPLE. B.) Wouldn't Dayz be the worst game ever if nobody shot each other- we all helped each other and fed one another- we all ran around saying hello, hugging each other. That would be terrible. With the fear of not knowing what a stranger player will do is what makes this game exciting- they might help you, they might kill you- they might friend you and be nice to you for 18 minutes then all of a sudden, they might kill you. That is what makes this game so unique and fun to play- FEAR. So quit whining about people. This is the game. As long as there are weapons, expect this.

You start off with good intentions. You will get maimed, shot and killed repeatedly. You then shoot people yourself. Its the circle of life, Simba!

Oh calm down, hot pants. Where in my post did I ever say I run around Electro and murder everyone? Never have I said this. My point of the whole thing (here we go again for those with 3rd grade reading comprehension) is that the M4 is a weapon designed to KILL PEOPLE. So you take an end of the world situation, add in a weapon, and death will occur. My post was done to point of the absolute absurdity of people's reaction when they run up to a fully geared player shouting friendly when that person has a weapon in their hands. And up until today, I've killed several people when I had nothing, to suddenly have food, 400 rounds of ammo, an M4/Mosin, etc...so to me, it was highly beneficial. Not everyone is friendly. I love how you fruitcakes think everyone HAS to be friendly in order to enjoy the game. 90% of the time, Im your worst enemy. Why? Because I can gain immensely from killing you and taking your stuff. Sometimes I'm nice tho- was at Kammy last night and gave some random bambi a .357 with 20 rounds of ammo just because I was feeling bambi-luvin'ish. But dont count on it. And if your stuff gets ruined when I kill you, the thrill/the hunt is much more exciting than hiding up in Polano with nothing to do. So will the killing stop? Doubtful. Dont like it? Go plays Sim City 4.

the respawn button never worked for me. i just log out, and restart in.

it kind of astounds me the curiosity of Dayz players. like it was a good idea to check out wtf a guy running around in circles with a sack over his head is doing. i would have gone the other way. someone doing something stupid and not valuing his time has just guaranteed not wasting mine. i would have trekked in the other direction. didnt seem like something to explore more, but thats just me.

it took me 54 once. then the next time over 60. its pretty cool and scares the hell out of you even tho youre expecting it. can be heard from looong distances.

these examples really made me laugh. not laughing at you, but more of a "ahhh, that happened to me too" type laughter. i usually never help anyone due to dying so much, but recently helped a guy out- ran to the military base since he didnt know where it was- and got him an m4, ammo. then we ran to nwaf. suddenly tho, didnt trust him and told him to go solo. trust your instincts. i, to this day, believe he was going to murder me. i believe i prevented it.

You're just being silly. I thought GrimeyRick's post said it all when he prefaced it with "friendlyfire". But why should I bother saying anything- you're always going to have a certain amount of players who think people want to play a zombie survival game where we all get along and do a hands-across-Cherno, feeding each other beans and bananas. We would run together and kill zombies and open doors for each other. I read a post about 3 weeks ago about a guy up in Guba- who wrote this boring story about how he enjoyed the sights and sounds of the coast and ate his beans on the beach. To him, that was having a fun time playing. Thats cool- he can do that. But the majority of players- do not want to immerse themselves into a game like that. Most want to kill. The m4 was designed to kill people, not for back support. And your history example was perfectly absurd. But Im sure you probably already know that deep down.
