you learn pretty quick that a bambi is pretty deadly. and when you go against someone with nothing to lose, well, this sort of shit happens. AND you brought them in a tight quarter-ed room. lol. that was bound to happen. i shoot any bambis getting close to me. they should fear you fully decked out- so if they get within 30ft and closing, they are up to something, so they get blasted.

want to fix the bandit issue? force everyone to play on a nightserver. a.) nobody can see anybody b.) they will spend their money on another game & wont play dayz anymore problem solved!

While I agree, where on the planet is it pure blackness at night? I find night servers absolutely ridiculous because I am not Riddick & Im not running around with a flashlight and then worrying about finding another battery so I can wander some more in the dark. A. Did they fix the flashlight issue? Last I saw, it was shining through walls and reflecting off the ground through pure concrete. I saw 2 people killed in the ATC because of it and unless thats a ghosterbuster flashlight, it shouldn't beam through the wall. B. This isn't game "immersion" to me- its just fuckin annoying. If we are going to knock out every hint of spark of light, lets make our characters start off with shitty vision, so we venture into the world blurry until we find the right pair of glasses to wear. Everyone starts off with perfect vision? F that, billy! Youre blind as a goat! C. Did that example seem absurd? I know, so is wandering around on a planet that has less light coming in than Pluto. I can go camping in the desert and see every constellation and the light from the moon and stars can still illuminate where I need to go.

i try to only play 3D OFF servers. who knew i was so hardcore!

I always used an M4- had many many fun exciting times with it. Then I changed to the mosin. Long range scope- holy f'in mamma mia. thats fun too entirely 2 different styles of game play.

Just logged in and my steam name doesnt appear and my geared out character is not showing.... Before I say heck with it and jump in, anyone else have this issue? Gathering is 90% of the fun, so no worries, but was wondering why my personal name is showing and not my steam name. I think I need to wave bye bye to my long range pristine scope....

I logged in and had a character from a week ago, I believe. Maybe longer. I rarely use the gas mask anymore and I was equipped with one. Good times.

It is strange. I often wonder the same thing. I hacked someone at a market with a firefighters (pristine) axe last night and he kept standing up. I must have hit hit 7 times until he finally went down. Unsure how that works, but when someone else cracks me over the head, i seem to go down in 1 hit...insta black screen. What is this chap doing that he gets up 3 times??

watch the youtube beginner videos out there. that will help a lot. when you do find a gun + ammo, you dont want to run around without it loaded...etc... im sure you can find friendly people in the game. im also pretty sure you can find a magical unicorn with shits rainbow skittles too. the more and more you play this game, the more fearful of people you will become. trust no one. so learn how to protect yourself. its a fun game. it really is. but running around until you die isn't fun. so check out those videos- there's a ton and they have helped me massively. i can usually find a gun in 30 mins, usually fully geared in 1 to 2 hours. once you are a threat, you can become a threat. until then, you are at the mercy of whoever sees you and thats no fun.

youre getting pretty upset about this. i wonder how many more people like you get so mad. im not saying dying doesnt suck, it does- esp by hackers, but i rarely get upset anymore because dying means i get to run to the NEAF and gather and that shits the most fun part of this game. ive had so many crazy encounters, walking down the atc stairs having just found ammo for my weap and someone is slowly creeping to the first set of stairs- i light them up and have even more stuff....as im looting, someone walks in and I light them up...ahhh, so many fun memories. so honestly, i protect my geared character, but if i die, i die- at least i get to experience the airfield fun. its a fuckin blast.

i love dying in this game so i can experience the gathering part at the NEAF. Thats fun, intense as hell and FUN.

all alpha comments aside, you guys say some wonderfully dumb things during a fight. im not mr tactical response by any means, but we teamspeak and only chatter about directions/commands/etc until the guy is spotted and dead. "i really need to kill him"

I can't handle the game? Just because I dont want to run in the wood for 22 hours without a weapon and suddenly, you figured out my style of game play that I might want a weapon thats somewhat easily attainable. Your ridiculous comments are the exact reason why you are a gamer and not a developer.
