    constant shaking

I have heard this is a symptom of having eaten human flesh. Are you guilty?

    Doing "the spin"

You have been infected by the breakdancing bug. Dozens of survivors are now facing this godawful disease. The only way you can stop it is if you get served.

    Why all the judgement?

That is the way of life unfortunately, no matter what you do - there is always someone who would do it differently. Echoing many comments above, it's a sandbox game and people are welcome to act how they please within. Whether they choose to help everyone they see or shoot anything that moves - they are allowed to play as such. In my opinion of these common arguments KoS makes the game better 1st person is more immersive but 3rd person is still as enjoyable - one is not better than the other If you manage to kill me, kudos to you - you have bested me. If I kill you, better luck next time There are far fewer friendlies in this game, for that reason it makes finding one more interesting Anyone out hunting bambis is teaching them valuable lessons - avoid being caught in the crosshair and be incredibly aware of your surroundings. This game thrives on anarchy and the fact you can turn a corner and enter a number of different situations - how you choose to deal with it is up to you but please do not brand others for their decisions and playstyles and learn to dust off and get back in the thick of it all :)

    Explanation Persisten server

This is surprising - in the majority of my experiences with persistent servers, the loot is almost always gone (with the exception of wrenches, pens etc) and trying to survive is damn near impossible. Please note that some of these servers I had joined immediately after restart but still struggled to find loot there, have I just been unlucky?

    Improve FPS

You're not wrong. I believe that they are wanting to do away with the Arma II engine and basically create their own one using the "Good Bits" of the Arma II engine but developing a new system that actually caters to what they require. If this is indeed the case this is a mammoth task.

My last 20 minutes in Dayz.

Please be aware the the dot is not your crosshair and if you test with a gun you will shoot below this dot (point dot at somewhere and then right click without moving the mouse)
  7. That's a very fair point and an educational one at that. However, has there been any indication of what time this is set in? There are a lot of people who are enthusiasts for this sort of thing all over the world and in the last 20 years or so, samurai swords have found their way into many homes across the world (A guy around where I live was actually attacked with a samurai sword in the leg and buttock a few years ago). As mentioned, if it was a rare drop then it wouldn't be entirely unbelievable. Your suggestion for those other believable weapons (personally would love a meat cleaver) are great suggestions and I'd quite like to see them implemented.
  8. Samurai Sword (i'm sure there are some enthusiasts over in Eastern Europe - possible rare drop) Bear Traps (more common drop but a legbreaker for sure) Some kind of wire (for choking people (if you get close enough to them) as you'd use what you can find as a weapon) ~~~~ Not sure about the throwing weapons, maybe once they sort out the throwing mechanism (knocked myself out by throwing an axe twice)

    I'm Freezing, wait, why?!

It's entirely possible that you're clothes are showing as Pristine but are actually ruined (drop/pickup will soon tell you - as this has happened to me). Another thing I've noticed is that if you have a full belly from eating you tend to warm up as well. (Although I have not properly tested this) Are you fully energized/hydrated/healthy?

    Forum names = no kos

I play as "What's a bambi?" If you see my name - kill me, as large percentage of time I play a "baddie".

    Well, I combat logged.

I loved the part in there that you said that he was a bad shot but you took 10 SKS rounds to kill him. You have my beans.

    Well, I combat logged.

I'm from Scotland. We never back down from a fight. My Little Pony is for little girls not grown men / fedora'd gentlemen. We wear kilts (not skirts) because denim cannot contain our giant testicles.
  13. Climb to the bottom and 9/10 you will be able to get a distance between them and you (even just a few feet). Then proceed to circle and swing - some of them might hit each other making your job a little easier.

    Am i a bad person?

I think that what you did was very clever and something I had done in the past (except I did have a buddy, my girlfriend who was next to me watching from the ATC) and I just lured the guy into her sights. Easy loot :)

    Stable - 0.49 Discussion

Nail on the head! Out of all of the issues I've come across since the new update (I haven't met many) that is the most annoying thing. Of course you should be able to mend a balaclava, please fix this issues before ANYTHING else :)

    firefighter jacket

Perhaps it was due to the damage but the jackets looked quite dull and obviously if your surrounding are similar in colour (not the reflectors) then it blends in well. Almost like a Tan Tactical Shirt.

    firefighter jacket

Found 2 in 2 days. At both of the fire stations in Elektro. Actually surprisingly good camo (depending on lighting).

How did you first taste blood?

around 10 hours on the game With buddy up at NWAF in block of trees between the army barracks and the hangars I believe See group of 2 guys running towards us Pretend to run away amongst the trees towards hangars Shout to friend to get into cover Both hiding in trees Wait for them to go past See both run past my tree Try to take a shot at 1, hands shaking immensely, can barely get him in the sights Take shot *bloodsplatter* Guy #2 does a 90 degree turn and runs towards airstrip Re-target, and shoot again - Guy #1 goes down Can't aim at guy from adrenaline, call to friend Friend pops out tree and levels him Most exhilirating experience in a game, ever. Hooked. #thatfirstbloodfeel

    Schools/Office building.

You've made a very valid point. However, my views are different on the game, each development I just play as if it is a full game but just has its quirks. There was a build before the NEAF that I would have accepted to play for a good long while. By the time I've done work, get home, get dinner etc I'm on from about 7/8ish and play to 11. In that time I normally loot up and have a few battles and call it quits if I die or if it gets too late. I can see what you mean though, that loot is pretty disappointing. I normally stick more to the east is it is easier/quicker to get enjoyment out of the game instead of running for 30 minutes or however long it is (shows how often I go to NWAF!!) to get shot within the first few minutes. I do plan heading that way more but saving it for weekends where I have more time to do so.

    Assault weapon ammo?

In all fairness, I doubt he is going to stop server hopping because you have told him to. He's bought the game and will play it how he wants, lots of people do the same (myself included but very rarely now). It's laziness more than anything.

    Schools/Office building.

Personally, I'd prefer to have less loot (certainly in terms of guns). If you have first dibs at a town, you can walk out of there pretty well off. Last night the first server I played on, I spawned in electro and had the following: Kevlar Helmet Blaze rifle Mosin Ammo (x18) Fireaxe Lots of food Bandages Green Waterproof Jacket The above is pretty much all you need to survive if not more than enough. By the time I ran from Electro to Kamyshovo I had killed 3 people (1 bambi with a rifle and axe which was a misunderstanding - added him and apologised and two somewhat geared bandit looking types). I was more or less as geared as I needed to be within the space of about 30 minutes. That is not survival (which is the main point of the game) but an easy loot up and go.

    Schools/Office building.

Loot tables have 100% been changed. I checked school but found weapon cleaning kits there instead of as you said, weapons, which was the norm. I have also noticed the blue carvan/trailer things also do not seem to have loot anymore and the miltary soft top trucks, jeeps and trains do not seem to have loot spawns. (confirmed after server restart and checking the unlooted town).
  23. If you are buying the game - heed the warnings saying that it will be buggy and it's an Alpha. If you are not enjoying the game, change how you are playing it - after just under 700 hours logged in the game I had enough of the game despite enjoying all those hours. I took a break for a month or two and then came back to it, I still find every session in the game fun and interesting. Dying is part of the game, it's inevitable be it at the hands of some guy who KoS, zombie, bug or from your own failings in surviving (no food/water). Don't be angry - as someone said above, think about how you died and what you could have done to provent it. 9/10 people complain they were KoS while in a place where they are likely to come across other players. There are two scenarios that run through a players mind when they meet another. 1. Are they going to kill me? 2. Do they have something I need to survive. Even a bambi without weapons can at times be dangerous to keep near you. This is a somewhat realistic representation of what could happen in real life. People go crazy when they are fighting each day to survive. Each life you have is an experience be it good or bad. Take it as it is and learn from your mistakes. If you still don't like it, comeback in a year and see how far it's developed (or possibly not developed by the going rate!) and try again.

    Any ideas?

I used to get killed in a similar way back in January when I started playing. I soon realised that it's a pretty stupid idea to 1) log out in a building 2) log out where players are likely to "path" to navigate e.g. not a tree by a road. You'll learn little one, you'll learn.
