But if the guy with his hands up has to lower his hands as you suggest - to make any action, for instance open a local dead inventory.; then he will make a move you can see, right? That's about the same as him moving ATM to take a gun into his hands.. in both cases you will see it happen and have a head start to react.. so it's not such a great difference.. If you want to keep a prisoner - first make him drop his weapons, including brass knuckles, knives, grenades, derringer, screwdriver, etc.. and second don't let him get close to any other weapons.. or just make the dude lie down ... when he makes any move, or tries to punch you, you'll see it coming - the only thing you don't see ATM is him "noticing" the gun in the nearby backpack..

Irish - You NEED the matching shorts, man.

Also they are very good for lake fishing and easy to hide if you are a poacher but noisy

But did you work out how to craft the poison toe-ring spikes yet ? (brass knuckles + hacksaw + 2 x bayonet or knife + poison berries)

Maybe as a solution to this - the game could have a 'semi-conscious' state ? like, cut the "unconscious" state into two parts .. e.g. so that instead of going from "STARVING" to "UNCONSCIOUS" then "YOU ARE DEAD" the player would go from "STARVING" to "SEMI-CONSCIOUS" then "UNCONSCIOUS" then "..DEAD" this wouldn't change the gameplay or mess up the points systems (much?) but it would simply make the first half of "UNCONSCIOUS" into "SEMI-CONCIOUS" where you have the abilities/the inabilities, that roninhg suggests .. so maybe before you died of starvation you could lie helpless and groan/squeak aloud for help for a short while, then pass out.. same thing for physical damage just suggesting this sort of idea been mentioned before - http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/189882-incapacitation-kinectic-knockdown-discussion/#entry1948344 mine is a simple version xx [edit]: in the case of starvation, it would definitely be more realistic to go through a state of physical incapacitation before falling unconscious - instead of running along 'starving' and then suddenly falling unconscious.. and the same mechanism could work in many physical damage situations that ATM take you straight into "unconscious" .. if they were bad enough in the points inflicted, you would fall unconscious immediately , if they were slightly less bad you'd fall 'semi conscious', then slide (e.g. bleed out) into unconscious etc, or recover as at present in the game.. the idea of calling for help or seeing and/or talking to nearby players interests me more than the idea of special torture possibilities... ( not really my thing, I'm just a clean-kill guy) - basically this is a few moments of "too weak to move" time that comes before unconsciousness.

Why are the devs making the gaming so diffcult?
pilgrim* replied to Asheville44's topic in New Player Discussion
I must have missed the point right back when I signed up for DayZ ... Damn, I've been mistakenly enjoying it. -
Do you mean the "ammunition vest" has between 200 and 300 vests inside it, all full of ammunition? I guess that could cause a problem. How long did it take you to collect that stuff? One session?

shotgun slugs, different barrels, and different gauges
pilgrim* replied to d.walker43's topic in Suggestions
Everybody forgot 'plastic bullets' ( including "rubber bullets", "sandbag rounds", etc ) They are a popular 12-gauge load where I come from (I don't even ask why). Most probably, people use plastic bullets because they don't like to clean up the big pools of blood and the extensive wall splatter if they have to face an intruder in the middle of the night, and there are various reasons an owner could be averse to outright blowing an intruder's head off.. yes?.. and in Europe shotguns are frequently the commonest and easiest-to-own weapon to-hand and available in 'home defence' situations) In-game they could knock you instantly unconscious, for instance .. as well as breaking a few bones. Now, that would provide interesting variety. Up to 20 meters, a 1 shot knockdown with from 5 seconds to 30 seconds unconsciousness. -

pilgrim* replied to ezzy1610's topic in Troubleshooting
Yes - I spotted it.. (but I only just about followed the OP enough to find out what he meant after a good few repeats, due to me being zero at spanish and him being so mad).. I just wondered if 'vapor' is what the Spanish really call Steam ... on the Spanish language sites they call it.. er.. "Steam" ... for instance how would it be if we used "Microsuave" ? But I'm certain the guy got the message 100% - so you get 100% of the points. I think he's probably cheered up by now. Buena suerte ezzy1610 -

That's good - and I think it would work too .. but .."Vapor" ? Nice to see someone using another language, so no crit from me. Beanz. -
That's cool. I exchanged my tomato seeds for the brass knuckles - I didn't have enough room to carry the lime and I was on a server where I put the hoe on the ground to pick up the lime and the hoe vanished forever. I crawled around even to see if it was maybe stuck in a wall or in the air half way through any tree branches a few yards away (ya know?).. up, down, sideways, or anywhere.. but no luck. Hoe gone. I waited around but it didn't come back. Soo... I thought you'd be able to wear the brass knuckles (like a glove?) and still carry other stuff, but you cant.. so no hanging out with brass knucks plus a baseball bat, or anything else at all in fact..One set of brass knuckles is all you can hold in both hands. But then I found the pump gun so I was happy again but I daren't put it down at all anywhere. That's as far as I go with agriculture - I think a country person should always carry a riot gun. Still, it's good to know how the tomato farming works. I thought you'd have to water them too, but you need a greenhouse, OK... I begin to understand So how long can you live on 13 tomatoes ?

Has the background music really gone? I didn't notice, I turned it down to zero the first time I played. Is this like a recent event or something ? -
Persistence is just about stuff lying around on the ground. OK? (ground means anywhere - any kind of floor or table or ground.. whatever, anywhere loot can spawn.) If you see loot on the ground and no one has touched it, it is not persistent, it is just loot.. If you pick loot up and put it down again, right then it becomes persistent because you have handled it. It's still on the ground but now it's persistent because you put it there. You made it "persistent". Now it should not despawn. The serve doesn't not know if you looked at it and dropped it because you don't want it, or if you put it down because you want it to stay there for a long time so you can come back for it in a week. But the server can only handle a certain number of objects just lying around being 'persistent'. Why? - Because everyone picks stuff up and puts it down, changes their mind, dumps stuff out of their pockets to make room for something else - whatever - after a few weeks there would be thousands of persistent objects just lying around - the stores would be full of empty plastic bottles players had drunk out of and dropped.. because anything you pick up and put down just stays there.. so there could end up being tons of stuff, anything marked "persistent" everywhere.. All the good gear stays in peoples pockets, but every place there had ever been a helicrash there would be all the stuff that people picked up and then dropped again..also in houses, garages .. wherever.. the stuff no one wants, but they handled it just once. So those ordinary objects just lying around are now marked "persistent" but they have a lifetime. When the server reaches its limit it will start despawning them. And the server still doesn't know if you threw that thing away or hid it specially to keep it.. it just despawns ordinary "persistent" stuff when there gets to be too much "persistent" stuff lying around. This is why there are special arrangements: Firstly the stuff that you are carrying - in your pockets or backpack or in your hands.. that never despawns. That is always persistent forever. Secondly there are tents.. they act just the same as containers (backpacks) you are carrying around with you, except they are set up in one place - everything in the tent is like everything in your backpack, it never despawns. Every time you log on to that server the tent should still be there with the same stuff in it. Just like if you log in after not playing for a week you still have the same stuff in your backpack. Your carry-around stuff, your clothes, stuff in your pockets, etc.. you take with you from one server to another when you log in. You can take the tent too, but only if you roll it up, and carry everything in it across to another server in your backpack, and carry the tent to that next server, and set it up there. Then its a persistent container on the ground, and it is completely persistent forever on that new server where you just set it up. __________ OK that's the idea. How well does it work ATM is a different subject: Stuff you just place on the ground (a gun or a can of beans) - I haven't heard any guarantee about how long that will stay there.. it will definitely despawn after a while, but maybe that could be weeks, or it could be less. There is an idea that backpacks are exactly (or nearly?) as permanent as tents. They count as permanent storage containers, like tents - but I don't know if that is true yet. Different players have different experiences. Read the forums.., the devs are working on "persistence" - that's clear. Some things happen that shouldn't. Also some admins are staying with the old system, so they do not have Persistence on their server; they like it that way.

I agree with OP - Great idea But be careful shooting a lock point-blank with "any kind of firearm" - you risk having bits of the lock come back and stick in your face. And no, I don't think the welding mask would do enough to stop a jagged chunk of bronze or shattered steel, and those long splinters of old oak can be nasty to extract from your thighs. This is like that old movie thing where someone shoots open the chain on a pair of locked handcuffs: Don't try it at home kids, he might not ever play the piano again. Not many doors can be broken open by one blow of a sledgehammer, unless they are hardboard internal doors (not even real wood) with tin locks for show.. Our own British police force can't open any external door with one hit of a sledgehammer, I've seen them try, and they train at it too.. and USA SWAT teams have the same trouble. Check the news and Youtube. People who want to very seriously open a door IRL use a chunk of plastic explosive and stand out of the way. But that's in reality - Today I heard in DayZ you can open any door in the game just by punching it enough times. That's an interesting idea for Police Buildings and jail cells, supermarket sheet-metal backdoors, barracks gates, and those heavy old wooden doors on big town houses. They were built to survive. And last point, the lockpicks wear out real quick. Mainly - opening a locked door should take at least a short period of time (not one shot) - or three or four hits with something reasonably solod, and it should make good loud noises while it happens, so the people who locked the door on the inside inside know what's coming, and that's when it should begin to be interesting. Anyone tried opening a garage door with a hoe or a pitchfork ? Or with brass knuckles? or a can opener?.. and how many crossbow bolts does it take? xx pilgrim

hahahah ah- ah - hahahahahah... 1/30? y' mean like a two kilometer square ? NWAF fits inside 2 km: Go there and you will be able to test this game with other players. I guess that is the "5% viable" you're looking for? There are plenty of ways to know how to get to NWAF real quick after you spawn - but I guess that must be the "95% big waste of time you don't like? The real problem is - if you want to play inside your 2km square NWAF all the time, so you can "test" with other players.. you're going to be respawning a lot. But here's the secret: Really - if you can't get into totally deep shit inside 3 minutes of logging in - anywhere on the whole map - youv've never played DayZ If you cant meet up with your friends: personally, I think it's your own sense of direction, or one of your friend's, or you need some agreed keywords to use on TS, and you need friends who have an attention span longer than a goldfish. Or all of you should join a group who can <teach> you how to "test" the game, the way you like. Get someone to write out the How To Find Trouble Fast list, and start from there? It's a long list because the "DayZ How To Stay Out Of Trouble" list has just one entry : 'don't log in' It gets to be fun real soon. See you in the game. ps there are whole servers where everyone is invited to Berezino for non-stop PvP, if that's what you want. Meet your friends there.

"Rare" depends what you do to get it.. and where they should spawn is more like "how to cause a problem" than "how to find a solution" So I cant comment on these questions except the last one: All the standard ordinary ammo for non-automatic weapons (and for mil weapons too).. yes, you can find it if you want it... it's around..(not in barracks) Say - how many shells do you need for a shotgun? .. for me 15 is enough. I can deal with anything that comes up if I have 4 or 5 reloads.. and if I use a couple of shells, sooner or later I'll find more - (and If 3 or 4 double loads wont deal with it, I'm in the wrong place and I'm already dead, both at once) so I don't ever carry a lot ;if I find one box of shotgun shells I pick it up, if I find a shotgun I pick it up. (one or the other shows up first...) also there are revolvers, and revolver shells (and speed loaders) around in all kinds of odd places... you only need 10 bullets max don't ya?.. you won't even use them, right? depends how many shots you expect to fire and how fast.. 5 rounds isn't enough ?? .. in fact pickaxes are rarer than any of these.. they are definitely rarer than ammo, and a good fire-axe is reasonably hard to find.. most of the time. If machete's were any good against zombies I'd be a happy man.. and the hoes are ok but you can't cut trees with them.. For any automatic weapon, you probably wont find one on your server very easily if you're an Honest Joe I Stay On My Server Guy ( but you might turn around and find a helicrash across the other side of the field)... The reason - the ONLY reason for all the server hopping right now, that we hear honest-christian folk complain about - is that a huge percentage of players want military automatic weapons.and nothing else except plenty-mucho-ammo.; that's all. Simple hu? It's hardly worth planning all your hops to the minute and then spending your whole day on 5 minutes per server, just to find a bigger backpack or a waterproof jacket, now is it? So we all know 100% what barrack/airfield hopping is for. And I like to sit behind a tree one one server (any server) and watch people pop in and out and in and out endlessly.. They don't have much sense of danger, they kill each other all the time, and mainly they don't even see me. But if some dude comes around a corner anywhere on the map, with his M4 and we both shoot at the same time - the shotgun will kill him, and I'll be bandaging. So what's all the fuss about? OK a whole bunch of players hop-non-stop till they have their automatic weapon and a couple or 5 mags for it.. then they can BEGIN to play?... I guess this is the theory, right? So - answer 3 -" civilian weapons are not too rare at the moment. You find them if you look." - answer one and two - "What do you want?" (that's my best answer, truly) There are plenty of games with more military weapons than DayZ, and easier to find, and sometimes you can spawn with them, and you can KoS till you drop, without ever having to use a spade to kill the sucker, without ever doing any of that "live off the land, survive, etc" crap.. All I need (me) is a stone and some matches, something I can cut wood with, a couple of torn shirts for bandages.. and then I can wander around and find what else I need as it turns up.. and I find AKs and I find crash sites with m4s, no one has looted them because they are all down at the barracks. Sometimes it might take a couple of days to find a pickaxe and use it to dig up a stone, but I don't hear anyone complaining that stones are too rare ?? There was a forum argument a while ago that it would be more realistic to find a mag already plugged in to the gun, in most cases... that is not unreasonable at all - but ATM you're not ever going to find the guns or the mags.. because 50 people all turned up in the last 10 mins and beat you there and its all gone, dude.. (or the admin kicked them as fast as they arrived, and just kept the gear for himself and his mates) I work strange hours, so I play DayZ at al kinds of times - the number of people who show up at 4 am looking for Automatic Weapons, and vanish again after five mins.. is really amazing.. Theres a whole bunch of players already working out not just the restart time to hop, but the best time of day (or night) to do it... Wait in a good place , suss it out - Point the shotgun at the first player who shows with any mil gear, even a shirt, pull both barrels (top of his chest) and - DONE - you've got an AK and 140 rounds, or an M4 with 4 double 30 mags.... how difficult can that be? See? - those guns and those mags are THAT EASY to find if you want them. Take them.. However.. you don't need them.. an SKS is the best you need for anything at all and you find them in building sites and schools and .. just lying around.. plus the ammo too

No no, you misunderstood me ( I didn't think even for half a second you were a programmer).. I just meant - whatever you do for a living - the job you take money for - .. (plumber, pro golfer, cab driver, .. whatever) show me an example of your work so I can admire how you do it perfectly. Don't worry if what you put up is not 100% godlike-perfect, you can always add a title to it like .."alpha".. or something; ya know? I promise I won't laugh. Now - if you'd have noticed that slight rifle-charger outline error that someone spotted on these forums a while back - then I'd be truly impressed.

Oh my god! - and look at the face ! the chest ! And the pants ! They are all not symmetrical at all! ... And the boots are completely not symmetrical ! Don't you think this all-too-easily-visible Unsymmetrical stuff is another obvious proof of laziness? Its got 99% zero symmetry at all anywhere(like the first photos you found on DAYZFAN.NET),. wherever you look the poor deformed zombie dude has .. different things.. good grief.. Perhaps it was even done without symmetry complete accident !..( like a kind of total typing error ). The graphics guy spilled his fizzy drink in the mainframe probably. And we can even pretend to imagine, to have fun, that this is not a zombie at all - maybe it's really supposed to be a new kind of small bush .. or a backpack? I like your quote "This is not a good and a sign of careless, talentless work". That made me laugh. Let me see some of your work - whatever you do, I don't mind.. just show me. xx pilgrim [edit] - yo!; I just read through this (short) thread and noticed I said the same thing about 2 months back - when you first came up with the same post , Survivor (and you even quoted me on it) : << symmetrical except his face and his head and his shoulders and his torso and his belt and his pants and his shoes and his hair and his neck and his back and his belly.. I dunno about his genitals, you think they're not symmetrical too? >> Did you do any work on finding out about the genitals yet, that would be exciting, right ? Or are you just some sort of strange obsessive knee-only freak? (No offense intended, I'm a toe fetishist myself .. I collect them) PLEASE post some examples of your own work, I really need to see it, ya know ?? xx thanx pilgrim

Do you mean "the realistic gameplay aspect of the radio" is that it doesn't work? [edit: ... and etc etc rest of this page - I've taken out the comments. I was stupid to reply in the first place: sorry dudes, dudesses and Mor. I think our ideas are similar, but if you disagree, then I agree to disagree, ..is not a problem] *** The only reason I say "radio" is because it is already in the game. It's simple to use something you find already lying around. Technically its not "complicated" to include it in the gameplay, the software is already in place (I guess it's still there?). Other ideas are technically more complicated - I mean more complicated to implement, or else the devs have already said 'no'. The only reason I suggest a use for the radio is because ATM it is useless. A list of possible reasons for players not wanting to use TS is in an earlier post. I don't object to TS and I apologize to anyone who got that idea. Teamspeak gives groups a huge advantage in the game. *** A radio that works over a long distance A radio that the Devs do not object to A thing that players who do not want to voice-talk or do not want to join Teamspeak can use. A way to communicate that players who have difficulty with "talk" can really use in the game, so they can take part fairly. xx Enjoy. -
Stainless steel pipes, in a weekend team at a geothermal water place, but now we're repairing/ maintaining not building it any more, so the welding has gone down. This water eats any kind of metal..: but I have that kind of blue eyes so even if I glance a couple of times from a distance at someone else welding I get grit in my eyes and start going blind before the next day. -- That's why I'm so interested in the subject (heh). I cant spark an arc and then put the mask over my face - I'm already screwed if I do that. So I'm a crap welder but i take a lot of notice of it. I can do it if I need to if it's down to me, if it's 2am and no one else around. It will be watertight but it won't look good and I'll still probably be as blind by tomorrrow as if someone sprayed Mace on me. - so definitely not a Pro.

IMO it's good that you agree with me totally 100% Mor, you put my exact same points in a different order, and that's no problem. We are different people. I read all your text and it was just as if I could hear you speak. It's also good you point out - because I didn't mention it myself - that just because one person likes something it doesn't mean another person likes it. Right there you say a very true thing about human beings. Also I liked your joke about <"consuls I presume?" > "Hey- How about deaf people? How many of the 2 million DayZ players are deaf or have hearing problems? Could you (or anyone) give me an estimate? You know, a lot of people have problems with hearing and often that causes problems with their speech too. Some people think they sound funny and laugh at them but I don't think they sound funny. You ever read or heard about Martha's Vinyard sign Language ? Did you read where I told you I had a headset for DayZ? It's an SOG (Spirit of Gamer Expert Headset) and comes with a sheet of scull stickers in the box to stick on it and on the mouse (they call it "Advance Spirit of Gamer Xpert-M8 Mouse", check it out.) The mouse also comes with it. Plus there are enough scull stickers to spare so you can put them on other stuff too. I don't like the mouse too much because I'm left handed and it's ergonomic for right handed players. But that's the kind of stuff us abnormal players just have to put up with.. My headset is neat.. it works good. It has two dials to turn up the voice and - at the same time - turn down the background noise and music if I want. It's a very good quality headset. Maybe not everybody could afford it. I would put in an image so you can see the scull badges, etc, but you can check it yourself and the pic is not in line with the subject - this forum is about Text-Chat. I like to have conversations where I type them on the keyboard, without speaking at all.. I guess you do too otherwise you wouldn't be doing it. -
Note - visible light is only a part of the range of light frequencies which are destructive to the human eye. The close-to-visible are worse, especially UV. I looked up the official safety listings for standard welding helmets. I started from wikipedia and then went on to the technical papers quoted there, then the legal standards and then the sales and technical pages from different companies offering gas and arc eye protection visors. Took 10 or 12 minutes because there is a lot of reading . The ratings for light deduction are tabulated according to the wavelengths emitted by hot metal as well as by the flame or arc itself.. the 89% reduction is mandate for visible light - some manufacturers state that their product's light reduction is higher than this requirement - over 90% for instance..However - for Ultra Violet within given wavelengths a 100% reduction is required by European law, and ... whatever... mainly the whole spectrum is cut out almost completely, from 97%-100% - and leaving only a tiny (necessary) requirement for a range of visible light to reach the eye. Of course there exist modern facemasks with battery powered speed glass light reaction.. there are also digital image-transmission screens on sale ATM, so that the operator never looks at the process directly at all - Naturally, here where I work these are not used ..( I mean - never ) - no one has them, they are much more expensive than standard equipment and they are NOT required by law - only the 89% visible light reduction is a legal requirement., not the means to achieve it - We all use the standard black glass vizors that are have been used by welders for many years. Pro welders (people who do nothing else) seem the most indifferent to technological advance, I have heard them say that only the amateurs care about what they can see while the arc is not lit. They hold the mask up to their face with one hand to weld and do strap it on. This is standard practice, using absolutely standard equipment. You may have seen different actions. The situation will be the same in eastern European countries as it in Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the UK, Norway etc.. I would not expect it to be 'worse', as the standard arc-welding mask is so totally commonplace, and is used equally for brazing, etc..for all forms of welding.. The face cover gives no protection against blows of any kind, It is a large clumsy thing, non-inflammable, it protects the face from sparks and small molten metal projections, and when not welding it is difficult to see out of except within in a very reduced angle. You could not drive a car or run up stairs wearing one, for instance, even with the glass removed, because your vision is too constrained. The limited field of view is (exactly?) similar if you are using a modern electronic reactive glass faceplate. ... so that's where the 89% visible-light reduction comes from, to answer your question : - from European and USA law on industrial and working standards, legal safety parameters, and the performance statements on the many pages where this stuff is sold, where they also emphasize the legal requirements to define the efficiency of their gear.. so you can't miss it if you look.
-
About as much protection as a payday mask - plus in terms of visible light it reduces your vision by about 89% (official standard) without taking into account the reduction in the area of vision. When your attack with any weapon, wearing a welding mask should give you a slightly better sighting capability than a burlap sack - about 10% of your normal eyesight. That's in full daylight or under bright electric light, I mean.. natch. Welding mask for either gas or arc - either - you sure as shit can't fight in them, not even with your bare hands.

Yo General Zod, hi and hail, mighty one! The Devs have said they will not have side-chat in the game, also everyone who has read this forum saw Kichilron's statement on the first page. I had the little idea - just my personal idea without any special weight - it would be a good thing to have a chat that can be turned off if you did not want it, that you don't have to see it on screen if you don't want to, that interfered with nobody unless they wanted it, and did not have loud noises, shouts and insults and a family argument in a kitchen in Birmingham and laughing about a loud TV comedy while you are stealthing through bushes in the game. The radios are in the game - are they there for a reason? If you think side chat should be in the game you should start a movement. There is a way to bring something a bit like side chat into the game, as long as it follows the suggestions above.. and the devs might accept it like that? The only reason I dont mention "limited range" is that this would be technically a bit more complicated, the server would have to calculate the distances between each player who was involved across the map area. I thought a first, very simple, experiment could be tried out using technical stuff that already exists, so no extra sweat, and see how it goes and who uses it, or if it can be misused. It could be expanded or modified or taken out altogether as we go along through beta. Perhaps the devs could accept this? Are the radios for players to chat with? You know - by "chat" I mean to "communicate' with"? Why are they there? They don't work. I couldn't tell from your post if you are in favor of something as well as teamspeak, or if you want only teamspeak and nothing else? If you want something extra and immersive in the game which works and doesn't interfere with other players I agree with you. My opinion is many people want this too, but not so many want a Mod-style global chat. The Mod global voice-chat was often a good thing and it was very often a pain in the neck. So I'm replying to OP and Kichilron and the Devs with my idea of a fair solution for all of them. As well as the radios not working - also there are not many radios lying around in the game, and same with batteries.. so radio communication would not take over the world, even if it worked just a little bit. That's sad.. whatever.. -

I think you mean "there is no argument to justify Teamspeak without shitting all over the crux of the game" because DayZ is "a realistic survival horror MMO" with Teamspeak in it. There will never be a global sodechat in DayZ SA, Sacha Some servers already force you to use their global Teamspeak, but there is no global sidechannel on DayZ, There never will be. I have nothing against Teamspeak. When DayZ reaches the gaming stations there will be a box option to buy it with a headset. The DayZ headset with a sexy scull on it, or a military style camo headset... ya know.? If anyone still carries a radio around - or if anyone has ever used one and got any replies, if anyone has done something useful in the game with radios, to show they work - they could say so here on the forum, right? I don't see that happening. We all tried, right? Did anyone get any use at all out of radios? Can you suggest a use for these 'realistic' radios lying around in the game? Or should they be taken out ? Hey, dude, Sacha I'm not attacking your post - I'm using it as one example of the posts from people who do not want global sidechat. Don't worry you people, there will not ever be global sidechat in dayZ. that's official. There will be Teamspeak. Teamspeak will stay in the game and most people will use it. No problem. We know all what it's for and we know how it works. DayZ SA is a headset game, everyone knows. A way making the radios work would be cool and make DayZ more realistic and immersive. It would be very good and immersive if the radios were there for a useful purpose. A lot of players do not use Teamspeak. We can all think of their different reasons for keeping away from TS, if we try a little. I gave a list of a few of those reasons in a post already. So should we just get rid of the radios out of the game? I think text chat is OK and the radio is a way to have it and to turn it off if you don't want it. Then it doesn't bother anyone except the players who want to use it. Like teamspeak. That's just my opinion, I'm not trying to enforce any rules on everyone. I use a headset too. I don't use teamspeak because I don't like it. I'm a loner, I don't want to be in a team or a clan. I don't want other players even to hear my voice. I know I'm not the only one.
