    Do NOT trust the people who sell those things and SPECIALLY don't trust the people who give them away See? - You trusted them, you are banned AND your PC is full of virus and trojans right now trojan you need to worry about cleaning up your PC

    How do you quickly reload a 1 shot?

    If my info is out of date - then "brilliant/great" & more power to BI. I am impressed;.. ok, I shall be impressed For myself, on stable I can't ATM face chasing up 2 shotguns and sawing them both off to make the test again.. I will try that as/when they turn up, when next patch is in. 4 longhorns BCBasher?? Hmm, and I thought 1 longhorn, 1 scoped mosin, and 2 sawn-offs was.. much overkill I like the "both barrels at once" option seriously - 2 of the same (specially sawn-offs) should be a fairly cool rig, logically.. if you want to go non-military but armed couple of sawed-off Mosins, couple of sawed off shotguns, plus a pump gun - should set you up as a Saturday Night Going to Town well-dressed man ?

    How do you quickly reload a 1 shot?

    OK - interesting - I'd be surprised if it had been changed because its not a glitch, it's the way the inventory operates - bot cool if it has been updated. But also surprisiing. I tried it with two sawn offs - got the opposite effect to you. Fire the one in your hand, then swap it for the one in your backpack, you'll find the one in your backpack is loaded and the one in your hand is not. This happened using hotkeys or not. Put your empty sawn-off down on the ground, take the one from your backpack and fire it - put it back in your backpack, pick up the empty gun, load it - now the one in your backpack is loaded and the one in your hand is empty; Load the one in your hand - the game tells you can't - "it is already loaded". If you want to load both, put the loaded sawn off on the ground. Load the empty one. Tried this through several variations. OK so I stopped carrying two sawn-offs - it is the way the inventory deals with items; Same thing happens if you have 3 bandages (or three bottles) in different places.. there is no "easy way" you can take out one particular bandage or bottle, put it back, and take out a different one... it's just that you normally don't much care which instance comes into your hand. Same with mags - people have the habit of combining to have full mags, so they don't notice this.. try it with 3 mags each with a different number of bullets in it - try to change out mags, then count your shots. But if this has been changed - it is a big alteration to the basic inventory mechanism ...; so really? - Do 2 sawn-offs "work" now? xx

    If you have 2 guns the same, you can't swap them. If you swap, the one you just fired stays in your hands. This is because the inventory does not notice a difference between 2 objects of the same kind. If you try to reload the gun in your hand, the game will tell you the gun (-in your backpack-) is already loaded. To reload both guns you have to put one of them on the ground. It's not faster. xx

  12. psychos with guns is half the fun of the game - even if you are a farmer It would be a big pity if all the farmers moved to non-violent PvE private servers and all the fighters moved to full-combat PVP private servers There would be no game left = End of DayZ SA Teamspeak gives groups a huge advantage, and groups are 90% or 100% military style players and PvP and killers Farmers are generally solo players .. right ? OK - there is no way to stop teamspeak So farmers and PvE folk need a way to communicate with each other in-game, to make in-game friendships This would even up their chances of surviving - a little. ??

    for newer folk in SA the map is full of interesting and strange stuff There have been famous explorers and photographers, who found things you would not imagine - you could start by looking at the HETSTAIN GUIDE - "those little known and well known tourist spots..the nine raging boners of the apoc" in that thread there is a link to Hetstain's exploration journal & photo site but ALSO there are some other good links if you follow them up - and some mysterious mentions of : The Gews Expedition The Football Field The Blair Witch Wood Green Mountain The Noble One's Grave Boners The Grass Pyramid Memorial Dry Lakes Bad Father Christmas The Sucking Rocks Billboard Celebrities The Chalk Giant The Graveyard at Gvozdno The Golf Course The Hippie Commune The Levitating Stump The Statue Other map-things too! Some are gone or changed (??) some maybe were never there, some are still real - there are some comments and links by long-distance travellers, wanderers, madmen, misfits, old-timers, - about things they swear they have seen, or heard of, or even photographed (before they died or went mad). And that is not the only thread, it's a starting place. for instance - The Gews Expedition is amazing.. Hetstain's Journal is incredible.. There IS a Bad Santa (horrible photo evidence by SAK).. Other Stuff.. xx

    Shotguns are a Joke.

    Interesting idea, yes I have had a zombie hit me once and "ruin" the 1911 I was holding (was "pristine") with no damage to anything else. So I think this mechanic can 'work' in all situations where a player is hit by some attack. It is a first approximation of 'realistic' except when the hit is caused by multiple pellets - because then it doesn't fit. And sure - if a rifle bullet destroyed the handgun you are holding IRL your hand would not be in a good state at all. But also IRL one or 2 military rounds can often kill, but not ruin all your clothes or damage much gear (maybe 1 or 2 objects max?) unless you count bloodstains as making stuff "ruined" .. So, it's a problem - a scatter gun is a special case not like other arms or melee weapons. I thought perhaps: even if you are hit but uninjured, and your gear takes the damage, you should hesitate, stagger, even sometimes fall over? But falling over in a firefight means you are pretty certainly totally doomed, because of the time it takes to stand up. So, a stagger animation, maybe.. say just a half second (max) of pause that goes with the flash you get from a hit.. ? would that be too much of a status effect already? A bullet or an axe are both single-impact-penetration attacks; but a bunch of pellets or slugs are really a different kind of attack (like 8 or 12 different attacks all at once?). There should be gear damage AND physical damage almost every time. Also, a close shotgun blast just can't "hit your gun" without probably taking most of your hand off.

    OK calum1231.. this is my idea of what to do: I guess you are the Admin of your PC and you are using your Admin account on the PC, right ?? go to that file you call weasle%gaming.DayZProfile firstly just right click on the file, choose Properties and make sure the file is not Read-only, - if it is, uncheck the Read-only box. then make a copy of the file, in case of problems.. OK? now you open your file weasle%gaming.DayZProfile by dropping it on Notebook - you can open it with just Notebook, don't use Word or anything fancy because that can mess up your file. Look to find the line that says battleyeLicense=0; if it already says battleyeLicense=1; then we'll have to think of something else to do - but if it says 0 then change just the 0 to 1 and save the file. OK ? Then try the game. *** WELL now - it MAY be that windows will NOT let you open that file, or copy it, or maybe will not let you SAVE it If that happens it will be because you don't have permission to do that, you need to have Administrator permission, or because the file is set to the wrong permissions Are you an Admin on that PC or is someone else the Admin? Tell me what happens when you change the "0" to "1" and we'll go from there. OK?     Did you really do the AmberHelios method ? it is kind of foolproof < re validate your files in steam <Or you can go to: C:\Users\*Username*\Documents\DayZ and find the < *username*.sqf >file. < Open this and navigate to the line that says: battleyeLicense=0; < Change the value to 1, save file and play the game ?? ps you did not put links to a few of your screenshots here - I looked at them by hand, but less folk will help if it's not easy I think the solution is 99% certain in the links already posted xx

    He's totally right about that, Deathlove I LOVE ya for it, dude - keep doing it. xxx And you also make some good points 7Sixty2 For zombie models - the BI team are 100% capable of doing the models they WANT, no problem, zero problem, ziltch.. they are GOOD at modelling/texturing, we all know that. They can do EXACTLY the zombie models they want looking exactly how they want them. The ONLY 'problem' is how MANY zombies and how they ACT. This is a technical challenge because of the AI involved and because of the processing timespace available on the DayZ SA instance. This complex, difficult work will decide, in fact - how dangerous and how important the zombies are in the game.     Yes its kind of interesting how "zombies" turned up in culture over the last 10 years or so - now they are everywhere and everyone kind of thinks they know "what they are" All ya need is a bunch of extras with messy face makeup and torn clothes and you say "act like zombies" and they all do their own thing I like watching the zombie crowd extras in about 100 (zillion) movies - to see who thinks ya have to claw your arms around, who thinks you're supposed to shuffle/stagger, who thinks its more kinda howling and staring at the sky... lotsa fun.. where did that all come from ?? like bloody orcs.. ONE writer invents them, and suddenly they ALL OVER the damn place.. just cant get away from Orcs.. they show up everywhere ya look.. big and little orcs, dumb orcs, intelligent orcs, invisible orcs, giant-armor-plated fraggin' orcs, half-breed orcs, friendly orcs, medieval magician orcs, space orcs..     Yes - well, mods are only based on all the heavy work that a dev team has put in, starting from the engine ground up.; so one or two flashes of genius + 'some' work can make something good But any mod in fact appeals to a minority - if a mod appeals to ALL 100% of the original vanila buyers more than the vanilla game, then probably on that day the whole industry should shoot itself in the head. ps - got to say this zombies do not really exist pingu really exists but zombies don't sorry xx

    This is because ATM there are very few zombies and mega-heaps of guns IMO I agree with OP zombieland78's breakdown 100% on zombie gameplay in the Mod. Also, he does not mention stealthing around zombies, which was another important element in the zombie-gameplay mix Some players find them too easy, too badly animated and predictable, with bad tracking, But all-in-all they are a very good constant part of the vanilla game. They contribute GREATLY to DayZ Mod. I disagree that zombies will never be good in DayZ SA: Experiments and tests are going on. BI have specialist zombie high-grade freak-nerd expert techno folk ON it. I can "sense" them. A mix of good AI for SOME zombies, plus low-level (Mod-type) zombie actions for OTHER zombies, could make an exciting mix with enough unpredictability AND enough zombies to be always important in the SA game. = without overloading the limited and small-scale server-side instances the game runs on = Obviously 40-60 (even 100?) players occupying a single instance on 1 whole dedicated physical server, would mean a huge processing 'space' free for ALL kinds of real time zombie activity. But this is not how the game is set up. So the problem is to fit in zombie activity inside what a present-day SA instance can do (ie - several games running at once, all sharing space/time/processing power on 1 physical server). 'Plenty of guns' littered around do NOT take up much processor time, but each zombie takes up much much more. xx

    Yes shoots folded a Skorpion is delivered new with a short mag & a leather holster to be carried like a traditional pistol, with long mags carried apart in case of need.     scuzați-mă ? Does this mean there will be TWO keys - one key for 'melee' (with any object including guns) and a different key for 'shoot' - to avoid problems with auto fire, for instance, and to avoid having to empty the gun before it 'converts' into a melee weapon? Thanx This is seriously good stuff & much work - I like lifespan/beards! will ladies become straggly-haired? weatherbeaten ? xx
