And thirdly - Tell me HOW a GP sanctions a client for any actions INSIDE a game. Do they cut off his service without refund? Do they blacklist his credit card? (do you REALLY think that? ha-ha). Do they do it without proof, on the strength of an accusation? What proof do they accept, If I spam 100 fake complaints will they close a server? If I send in a genuine email complaining about one of their clients (and they don't know me from Dick) do they take action? HOW do they police actions INSIDE a game (like unfair kicking)? How do they verify complaints? Does BI police OR verify complaints? Is there someone in the GPs office at midnight on Saturday checking for fair play on ONE of the game-titles out of the 200 they sell? Yeah, I know, you have no idea. You haven't taken the time to think it through, but you posted anyway. In short don't be so DUMB dude (scuse me) Work it out. Read through the last 2 years of posts on the topic. See what BI has said about this. See what the Game Providers say about this. Show me ONE example of anyone, anywhere, anytime, taking ANY action. Go find ONE. Plenty of threads on this already, check them out. When you are hurt in DayZ your stats get low you see blurry, everything goes black and white, that happens already. When you are shot in the chest, the same thing happens until your stats drop to the death level. That happens real fast. In real life and in DayZ one thing is exactly the same: When you die you do not see a Hollywood movie. xx p

check out satellite internet access. It exists. Sometimes the connection is slow, so maybe not great for gaming, also changes with cloud cover and rain and also times of day. But it exists for civilians and is becoming cheaper. Look it up and find out what is on offer. USA for instance : hughnet.com but (these guys are not cheap) look at plenty of others to find prices, look at fan sites and tech sites, search around.

1 For subsistence farming IRL (or survival) an ice-axe IS a better tool than a hoe, you need something to break into hard earth. Look at your early history of mankind, and your Amerindian or Egyptian culture, or just check "subsistence farming" 2 Right !!! AND in the game you can't wrap gutted animal parts and meat in the pelt and carry that bag in your hands, which is a totally standard hunting technique and has been for a couple of thousand years on every continent. Also the first thing you would do with a game animal is put it across your shoulders and carry it to cover, before gutting it. Right? You'd have to be crazy not to. well, that's what has changed in the last 2 years - the high weapons spawn IS what you call "medium at best" also "high" "medium" and "low" does not exactly mean how many weapons spawn how fast. If you went in the air tower and found 5 shotguns would that be a high spawn ? You mean you are looking for places where it is easy to pick up a bunch of military weapons, ammo, mags.. The obvious places are still the obvious places. You are sitting on 50 posts about this you only have to read a few of them. BUT Every place that has that stuff has NEW problems around it that are not the same as they were 2 years ago.. you have to read the forums and watch the vids and PLAY and work it out for yourself. This is the fun of DayZ. If you want an easy starter, go to any Police Station and meet everyone else who is looking for machine guns and automatic pistols (about 85% of players all doing the same thing); If you have no weapons when you visit a Police Station, take something to hit people with. (heh). The tent cities have zombies - not many but fairly mean. Also you can STEALTH zombies now (ok? new problems = new techniques ?) Also the boots of police cars and also heli crash sites (didn't have those 2 years ago). but don't expect it to be easy. Also the high value (ie military) weapons are not the same weapons as they were 2 years ago. Ammo is scarcer than it was, for sure. You will notice. And you may have to go a long way to find a fire axe. You can also go fishing if you want to. there is no easy answer to your question, different people play different ways and there is more variety than there used to be - some PVP players complain about this - only way to do it is to go in there and play it and get a FEELING for what happens these dayz. Take a walk, find a sack and make a backpack, get food and check out a barracks - ya know ? Also there are whole new cites in the North of the map, also Prison Island, also a bunch of new spawn locations so you will 90% certain not have any idea where you are when you log in. also vehicles, etc etc.. AND there are a lot of server-exploit kick-servers on the public hive so you probably have to find a server that does not kick to play on, and if it is running daylight it might probably be pretty full. go for it. Enjoy.

(photoshop, outlook, whatever..) ya know.. and no bittorrent etc obviously ..and you ARE the admin, as you were when you installed DayZ If you are sure your own PC software is not gulping your bandwidth - then I'd sit and manually send Tracerout pings to a DayZ server for 20 mins and see what my local ISP did with them as they went through. In my case, when that happens it is my ISP messing me about. When you know all this is clear and good, then you do have to look carefully at the BattlEye solutions on the forums here. again xx p

Personally (the buildings are ok, except the windows etc) I would like to see some FOREST somewhere. But I know it won't happen. Do you realize how great this game would be if you could NOT SEE THROUGH cover 100 yards away - so you could come under fire from cover AT ANY TIME unexpectedly? So that a tent hidden in forest would be invisible at 15 yards? And movement in forest would be more difficult than on a ROAD, and being in cover would be a great advantage. Brilliant if you could NOT see through forests totally from one side to the other. Great if cover did not VANISH looking at from 40 yards away. REALLY GREAT if you could not drive a car through ALL the "forest" on the map. There are plenty of buildings in DayZ, there is no forest. Which of you guys has actually walked a mile through a REAL forest in the last couple of years NOT on a path ? Anyone ? (heh)

Off topic - but since you mention day/night: Gameservers do not like daylight players I count 79 Gameserves Public/Vetran ("official") servers across Europe - all run 24/24 on local time - so after 6 pm (1800h) these are ALL DARK. I hear the same goes for USA and the rest of the world - all the Gamesever public servers are set to be NIGHT for ALL THE TIME that most people play. I think it is great that Gameserves have made this effort to make SURE that EVERYONE who comes home from School or comes home from Work can only play in TOTAL DARKNESS on ALL the Gameservers' Public DayZ servers in the world. Last Sunday ONE 'official server' was running 2 hours later than all the rest (probably an error) - so at 6pm the server ran on 4pm time, with another WHOLE hour of daylight gameplay time before nightfall - that server was 50/50 full. The other 70+ servers in Europe were already dark and had 1-3 players per server - That is a max of 3 players for each of SEVENTY "official" servers which are always DARK during ALL WELL-KNOWN NORMAL GAMING HOURS. Who wants to play DayZ in daylight? NOT Gameservers, for sure, they do NOT like daylight players on their on Official Public Servers. They could set those 70 public servers to day/night if they wanted to - so I guess they don't want to ? xx

Hi ori42. I mentioned this in 2014. I thought it would be useful for the whole ArmA series to make sway more realistic - more like the way a shooter really aims and how the human body works. It is easy to understand why a programmer would do it wrong (without thinking about it, without ever noticing the mistake) because there is an easy maths function readily available that you can plug in to create the sway effect - it is a standard very common math formula, unfortunately it is totally the wrong one to imitate human aiming. It is the formula for orbiting objects and it is used all over the digital world: gaming, websites, etc.; it's just the wrong formula here. It "looks" kind of ok until you think about it, and no one wanted to think about it. it is a pity because BI are a simulation company at root, and it is the kind of 5-line alteration (one simple math function) that could be programmed and tested and adjusted in an afternoon. Really this generated .. close to zero interest

DayZ has a proud history of deadly vehicles going right back to the start of the Mod. WOW !! Many years ago the first time I rode a pushbike into 6 inches of seawater it kind of violently exploded and killed me. you should be proud to be part of the DayZ terrifying vehicle experience. Yep, well there are really a lot of them. I checked all over the internet and I never found even one complaint or one message from ANY server owner who had his server closed for abuse. Never. Zero. Can you people find me one? You ALL know this - If someone had his server closed down for playing DayZ the way he wants to (kicking people) he'd be shouting about it - on this forum, on reddit. all over the web. But - total silence - NO ONE has EVER had sanctions taken against them because of the way they run their public hive server. It does NOT happen. If I'm wrong, show me. This is the way DayZ is played right now - a REAL lot of people WANT to play it this way. They loot up, kick other players, play on the public hive, and they turn their server off when they are not online so no one can mess with their stashes. They do this because it is a standard way of playing that is ACCEPTED and TOLERATED. This is the real DayZ - you loot up on your own server, you go play PVP on other servers - no danger, no stress, no scarce loot, no survival bullshit - the players who want to play "the real game" are suckers. Does anyone KNOW any server owner who was sanctioned for playing this way? - has anyone HEARD of a server being shut down? - Can you find anywhere on the internet ONE complaint from a clan or a server owner about being shut down? No, ya cant. If a server vanishes after "complaints" - look again, the dude changed the name of the server. Note his server IP and then check, you'll see the server is still there. Same IP different name string. I can give you a list of 20 kick-servers in half an hour tonight, just in my region. The only problem is to find one or two straight servers. I can tell you which clans only come on at weekends to gear up and auto-kick everyone while they do it. I can list you the servers that only EVER have one player. I can list you the servers called "private" "kick" and "go f*** yourself". I can show you the servers that change their name every week. Man this is boring. The server-exploit is the standard way to play DayZ
