yes - completely logical nice idea

there are no towns at the edge of the map just head East from anywhere and you will be going towards the sea. Head East and you will find towns to find out which way is east: when the sun is HIGH it is in the South when the sun is high you can say it is around the middle of the day (ok?) anytime near the middle of the day, you can say the sun is more or less south of you keep the sun at your right shoulder and you are heading east go east, loot any towns or buildings you see to get food to stay alive, drink plenty from streams and ponds when you find them to stay alive some of the towns or buildings can be very dangerous but keep going east anyway, you will always reach the sea and then - wow - you're surviving - you have a sense of direction - it's an adventure dude ! anything can happen. anytime you're really lost, just go East. xx

with M4 and ACOG I don't get any sway at all (well fed, no injuries) zero-zilch is this normal ?? (am I doing something wrong?)

private message a mod here and ask them to send your contact details to a dev if you give good reason they will consider it, for sure but you will have to convince them your request makes sense

script kiddies are scared to script in the first days after an update, because they are afraid something might have been put in the new patch to jump on their hack. wait a week see what happens. Mainly, they will try it sooner or later because they bought it - even if other people have been caught. they not smart

This is a problem we all have to face in life

I was once in the jail building upstairs between the bunk and the outside wall and suddenly had broken leg. I thought I had been sniped or wall-glitch shot but it was a zombie outside at ground level hitting me. Saw him agroing down there and he hit me again. Definitely zombie that time. This happened before the new update. I've also broken a leg running out of a building from the ground floor. No steps. But not heard of broken legs from movement on flat ground outside buildings.

I like it when you get clear of a place, make it up into the woods, find cover, check nothing is tailing you and suddenly a zombie standing behind you whacks you a body-slam

don't worry, a lot of players go through this. some leave, some stay. It's not an easy game to get into unless you are one of the military fetishist dudes or a COD deathmatch player. There are also some real survivalists and some solo players, quite a range of different styles of play, in fact. But there can be large spaces of time between the "exciting" bits - people have said this ever since the start of the mod. You have to really make it up for yourself. Not everyone likes playing solo. If you have friends who play, make a group. If not - maybe you could look around for a clan or a team to join, there are several with invites on these forums. Some are very good folk. A lot of people find it easier and more fun to start up with other players. If you've played 20 hours, you already know your way around.. so now if you want to you can begin doing stuff to make the game more interesting for you. But it's not a game for everybody. Mainly you get out what you put in, its not on a plate or on rails. good luck - see you around maybe. xx

There was a vehement campaign by a number of weapons people on this forum to replace the recently current bullet-strike mechanic with weapon sway. The 'gun lobby' claimed that weapon sway would permit self-trained experienced serious gaming shooters (themselves) to honestly display their uber gun skills, giving them fair advantage over the 'casual mass' of players. Perhaps their voice has been heard. xx

Don't decide you have a blind spot about the language It is pretty easy to work out placenames - they are written on the map in Latin and on the signpost in Cyrillic, but they both say the same thing in Cyrillic there are a few funny looking letters we don't have in the Latin alphabet - look up a cyrillic language learning site on the web and find out how to pronounce those letters. This takes you 20 mins maximum. Write down the strange letters and how to pronounce them on paper. Now try pronouncing a roadsign that you know what town it is. You should hear the same thing as you have on your map, more or less... You get the habit of it. It's fun. Its the same problem that any western european would have IRL if they came into this country. So enjoy it
