1.0 and what i hope for.

Same on PC for the countdown .. the logout/login delays were ONLY added to stop combat logging and combat ghosting, in FACT. There were lots of arguments about this and Hopper-Limiting way back.. Eventually the =tiny= logout pause was introduced ONLY to discourage combat loggers/ghosters. It was an easy no sweat no complaints compromise solution - After all the argument, nothing "real" was done about hoppers at all - except that hoppers and arguments about them encouraged a LOT of players to move to Private servers. I think a longer logout would encourage players to find GOOD places to log out (obviously) - which is anyway part of survival game-play - But instead players log out in dumb places and complain that when they log in the next day they are dead. I have no sympathy for that argument. To discourage Hoppers on Xbox is easy, because all Xbox servers are on Public Hive. So BI can use a universal time tag for each character, it doesn't matter WHERE they log in or out, their time tag is with their character in the Public Hive. That covers all Xbox 100% If they log in and stay for less than half an hour before they log out - then they get a 5 minute login penalty (to any server). 5 mins or MORE - I'm OK with that. Anyone who HAS to log off, wont be logging back in under 5 mins anyway. I think having to wait 5 mins to hop into each server, then spending 3 mins on the server, then having to wait 5 mins again - after a few hops most hoppers would loose interest, give it up, or they would be definitely LESS keen and play real DayZ for a change. Also a 5 min wait would make some duping techniques more difficult and more boring, too.

totally - but I heard gossip that there was a way of using the Xbox network (itself) to drop out of a game instantly - MAYBE I'M WRONG ?? - but I thought that was what all the "combat logging" Xbox complaints are about. Don't know nothing more about it myself.. If I'm cornered, I just fight to the death, what the hell. * This is why I keep suggesting that a playershould be able to pull the pin on a grenade and keep it in their hand - if you are wounded or handcuffed or knocked out, or put your hands up to surrender (or to give the finger) you drop of the grenade. Nobody going to take me alive, so it would be sweet to take some of them out too.

Everyone should design their character BUT then when they log in the character will be of UNKNOWN RANDOM WEIGHT ( dangerously skinny to seriously overweight) and also rated between "terminal TV couch inactivity - truck driver - average city office worker -boot camp military - heavy smoker -- track athlete" .. As with the old blood-group types we had in DayZ the player won't get any choice about this, they just have to live with it. Hey, I just found a THERMOMETER in the PC game today. What can you DO with that? - I couldn't find any place to put it. survival => realism

Both the, games I mentioned have Quests - the posters above = @Sqeezorz @LucianX & @kopo79want Quests and Objectives - (myself I always thought Pokemon Red was a challenge, I sill have my GameBoy Color and I still only have one game for it and I still play it while I'm in executive class on planes or driving on motorways taking prescription drugs (ok?) - but WHAT KIND of quest or programmed objective could you have in DayZ seriously ? - talk to the ancient lady zombie at the radio mast who will tell you where to find the underground chamber with the gold plated AK if you give her a backpack of raw meat and she will give you the map and the Talisman of Infinite Ammo and a ghillie suit and you will need because zombies will spawn out of every tree you pass on the way as well as wolves and your gun will jam after you have shot 11 wolves unless you have already made yourself Pack Leader by fighting the king of the wolves in Berezino to call him you bang 3 times on the tank monument with a pristine sledgehammer from the blue cargo container in the hull of the shipwreck which will only open if you connect a generator to the door. Quests ? << I prefer more like real challenges where you have to plan ahead, react to escalating situations where there is only one way out of this. Ofc DayZ is not there yet, nor any available mod. >> DayZ is NOT THERE YET ?? - you can't react to escalating situations or plan ahead in DayZ? .. er .. YET ..?? so when it gets "there" players will be happier because they <<dont have to pretend or play their imagination >> They can do preset Dev pre-planned adventure stuff instead and that will make DayZ .. better ?? Perhaps I should not have mentioned EverQuest II ( .. did I? ) .. maybe Tomb Raider IX is more of a challenge ? .. it could be a Sandbox MMOG at the same time any suggestions ??

How about foot gear wearing out, or getting a nail in the sole (or just a hole so you have a waterlogged boot), or trench foot from not changing wet socks for days. How about having to cut your toenails (now that players grow beards) or risk mobility damage from long-term nail ingrowth, or just bad boot fit. How about injuries from moving barefoot over rusty metal and broken glass in cities or industrial sites? Also the possibility of gangrene. while I'm here .. How about swollen face from mosquito bites (caught from logging out near water) and possibility of infection ? - you get gun sway from the urge to scratch while you aim. How about using a wasps nest in a bag as a weapon ?

1.0 and what i hope for.

It's true - my suggestion is to reduce duping - IMO duping is THE main TOP unfair gameplay on Xbox, and also on PC (when it turns up). The point is that an anti-duper - an anti HOPPER - Timer CAN be done completely inside DayZ software.. so it works on any public hive - either PC or Xbox.. and ATM Xbox are ALL public hive. So cut down HEAVILY on duping and the game makes a big advance. Combat logging on xbox, to my own understanding (tell me if I'm wrong) - is a problem of the Xbox Microsoft network.. so it is not directly under DayZ software control, it is NOT standard internet connection and it is not under the control of BI - our Devs can't redesign the MS Network so that a player can't instantly leave a game. (but if they are not let back in by DayZ software for 5 mins, then that would cure combat ghosting) I believe it works this way, it's built into the MS xbox gaming network - and this is the problem, combat logging (out) is a thing outside of BI and DayZ software. - but again, tell me if I'm wrong. also - IMO combat logging is only a BIG problem (compared to hopping) if you are a combat freak who wants to play straight CoD battles. A standard DayZ technique is to shoot the guy in the back before he sees you. Getting the drop on someone is one key part of the DayZ game. And plenty fo fighters do NOT combat log (they'd rather fight to the death, right?) On PC the (short) timer -logging in and logging out cant be avoided by the player, and that sorts any combat logging or ghosting. IMO that existing PC timer should be at least x2 as long - 20 seconds each way - so people would think more carefully before they logged out. but as it stands, it works to prevent ghosting/combat logging and feeling safe to do it anywhere near other players. [ I have other Xbox suggestions that could be implemented inside the DayZ server software, but Xbox players would hate them (I know) .. lets see what happens when the Duping problem and the Base-building play has been sorted, first ] For Hoppers - You've seen my suggestion. AND more zombs in military bases and around mil tents would give hoppers a HARD time and also make play more interesting for normal folk. The PC Dead by Dawn server (offline today) puts five times as many zombies around mil loot. It would be difficult for a hopper to get in and out without finding 3+ zombs on his back in 10-15 seconds. For Bases - the full gameplay of bases has not been worked out yet; and on Xbox all servers are public servers (so no private friends-only servers to build "safe" bases on) so 50% of players are building bases (slow and long) and 50% of players are getting their LoLs tearing bases down (easy and fast).. Bases are in the game, all the parts of bases are available - BUT now they need balancing to make them interesting as part of DayZ - and not just a thing to spend time on. Players try to use bases in easy to find open or city places, as if they were FORTRESSES - but they ARE NOT FORTRESSES. They take time to build, they are weak, and they are ONLY about 2% safer than putting tents in a main street . And a hidden tent or stash is about 400 TIMES safer than a base. The rules and dynamics of how bases work to FIT into DayZ gameplay WILL be developed. In the meantime build your base in a HIDDEN place (for EFs sake). Right now it is NOT =no way= a FORTRESS.

You were right in your thread = In DayZ the play is TOTALLY BASED on your imagination.. to make this thought simple at the LOWEST - FLAT ON THE ROAD level - that gun in your hands is NOT real. (you get the idea? the shooty thing is in your imagination). Some folk like to imagine they are full combat shock-troops (and they dress for it and go and pretend to be that) some folk play at being Hunters, some folk play at being Farmers, some want to set up a Homestead and sit around a fire cooking with their friends, some decide they will play at collecting a big pile of stuff in hidden stashes - they are playing Preppies. Ive seen "cowboys" call each other out and shoot it out in the main street with revolvers. Ive seen the Cult of "Jesus with No Pants" holding big meetings and running into firefights to read from the Bible to snipers. I've seen wandering bands of Gangsters and Torturers laughing when they make some lone hungry person suffer and die. some folk love to be Lone Ghillie Snipers. Not ANY of that is even "role playing"... (that's a whole other set of stuff to do) - it is all "imagination" you have to use. It is all imagination play, there is nothing ELSE in DayZ If you want a Steam Achievement Badge in DayZ you are totally SCREWED. Decide you will collect 10000 rounds of .38 Ammo and then award yourself the Achievement - THAT'S A QUEST - you know you beat the target, boast about it here on the forum. - Who cares if the Deves tell you to do it or you YOU Tell Yourself to do it? what IS the difference? you want a long Quest? right NOW ? - OK * Go find the NAKED GIANT carved on the ground and build a fire inside his outline, spend a whole night there alone with the fire burning and try to survive. * Become a solo Wolf Hunter. Only eat wolf meat and make your gear out of wolfhide. * Find the LOST BRONZE STATUE in the woods and set up a tent with food where people can leave offerings * Do a pilgrimage on foot : Collect a drop of water from every pump on the map and leave it on the alter in Berezino. * SWIM to Debug Island (take enough food for the distance and the return). * Survive a week with only a single shot rifle, never touch any mil gear or clothes. Stay civilian and live in a house in Cherno * Become a cannibal, dont ever eat anything else. Only drink Water. (it's like being a Vegan, but different) There are many Quests - look back in this blog and you will find threads on each of them. there are just ZERO Steam Achievements for doing Quests. This is DayZ, not TombRaider xxp

1.0 and what i hope for.

When you log in you have to spend 20 mins on the server - if you log out in under 20 mins then you get a 5 minute timer before you can log in to another (or the same) server. If you need to quit playing after less than 20 mins - its no prob, because you won't be back at the game inside 5, will you? Technically, to do this on Xbox (which is all all public hive) - the Devs have just to run a standard Universal Time worldwide on each instance of the DayZ server software - use GMT for instance. It doesn't affect server time, it does nothing in game, it just timestamps your character when you log out, then checks the timestamp when you want to log back in. Xbox = all public hive, so it works across all Xbox servers. right @ImpulZ or anyone ??? .. or is there a prob I don't see ?

    Official Cinematic Trailer

And sitting in armchairs !! ( this is really my main AIM in DayZ - I want to BE the dude in the office relaxing with the baseball bat full of nails - I IDENTIFY) .. And the "douch rockets" reflect the real game, right? I noticed that rain is emphasized and zombies are de-emphasized - that's also accurate. Like it. I'd go for body parts in shop windows in the DayZ game, and scars, def - and bring back flies too.. perfect. If the folk who make the vid have added stuff because it builds Drama & Atmosphere - then PUT it in the Game! Make 10-20 different short fast clips half as long as that ( as short as 1 - 2 mins instead of 4) and spread them Totally Everywhere.

    Perma death?

this has always been a problem since persistence became a main game element - people started stashing BIG piles of loot on one server, then going to a high pop server for the Saturday night mega-fight.. you get shot in five mins, so you spawn back to your stash server, tool up, and spawn back to the high pop server with the big fight again. If that's the way some folk wanted to play it, I'm not saying they are "wrong" - but its playing Call of Duty with DayZ. Then it was easier to hop to build up your stash of mil weapons for the big fights. Some public servers were just kicking everyone who wasn't in their 'clan' so their stash was safe, and then playing on other public servers. That got quite common. (a private hive server was more expensive than a public hive server - so servers were turning up with names like "Why should I pay so that you play?" and "Join and we kick you".. as actual listed server names. So there were problems about that. The server names got quietened down, but the kicking and the hopping and stashing did not.. Went on at that level for a LENGTH of time) [ lol - see? From the old server list - ONE player on a Public server, there was only ever ONE player there for weeks, & you were kicked if you joined - there were dozens like this, max 3-4 players and "Keep Out" ] So private and whitelist servers became much more popular. And also the Devs introduced a timer to slow down hopping - (the PC timer is STILL not long enough IMO, it should be 5 mins unless you have been on one server for 20 mins, minimum) .. This is all legal play just "using" the rules of the game as they were then, in a way that was not intended (I hope it was not intended) - I'm not counting duping, which is always stamped on fast (even if it takes a month after word gets out) it's stopped as soon as a new duping trick turns up and the Devs hear and find how it works. On Xbox you don't have that "my server" problem & "kick server" - but you INHERIT the DayZ game that was altered (and goes on altering) to try to "even out" playstyles so that no single playstyle give you a BIG advantage over all the others, so that you CAN play how you like. These problems were dealt with in the game (to some extent) in several different ways by the Devs - and now the PC result of all that ... has turned up on Xbox ! (Yeaaaa !!) All servers are public on Xbox, so anything that can mess up play between servers is open to everyone to do, and everyone is a victim of it. At least you know you CAN find someone's BIG mil stash without getting kicked off ..er .. as if for no reason (because they don't want you around their stash) .. So for Xboxers, hopping is ATM the big problem. The WAY players move between servers on Xbox is not the same as the PC network (which is straight internet) - so that hopping problem has to be sorted in a way that works WELL for Xbox. With all this - suddenly we get "bases" - lots of folk shouted for them, without considering how they would work in the game - ATM bases are long to build, not much use, and very easy to destroy.. BUT if you made them "safe" or seriously hard to destroy or had "invulnerable" stashes in them, then only clans would be able to have the advantage of them (the Rust problem) and a clan (just a few players) with an "almost invulnerable" base would stash it full of mil gear, kill all the new spawns, and go play Call of Duty again, with the next base .. like I said right back at the start: Respawn, run back to your base to tool up (invulnerable) and go fight again. So the newspawns and the single players wouldn't stand much of a chance at all. They'd be dead before they could nail two planks together (hell, they'd be dead on the beach before they found a box of nails) So how to balance bases so that they are useful but NOT invulnerable? Can only the base owners can spawn in to that base - so do you have a list of owners? (who decides what that is?) - if you kill the owner then is the base yours? = Stuff like that = . How to make it NOT a huge advantage so 5 players in a base can live forever and don't give a damn if they are shot, and they are back tooled up in 5 mins - AND also still make bases WORTH building (at all) and not just something that the first guy with an axe can destroy when you're offline. ?? IMO (specially on Xbox) it's very difficult to find that GOOD balance between TOO POWERFUL (that would wreck the game) and USELESS (because if bases are fairly useless, then what's the point?) People now are saying they want "safe" bases, and "safe" stashes in bases - in DayZ that will NOT WORK, I swear - that will change DayZ completely into another game. Remember this started as a SURVIVAL game.. the BIG AIM of the game was just to STAY alive as long as you could - nothing else - because pretty soon you would PERMA-DIE - that was the POINT of Dayz.. Just AVOID death as long as you can because you WILL DIE. Don't get attached to your gear because when you DIE then you lose it .. you win Black-Screen, END, Dead.. Nothing.. Want to play again? start from zero.. That was what the game was ABOUT. Xboxers won't remember.. but before they revised THIS blog, it was done in DayZ theme & decor and background (the beanz for comments is the only part of that left now) - When you logged in the top of the main page HEADER was this, updated every day, and THIS was what the game was about. THIS was what made it so popular so fast. There was nothing like it : see what I'm getting at ?

    Perma death?

dead players used to lie around on the ground for a long time in the old DayZ game - You could hear flies buzzing around them, so you knew there was a body somewhere close. Flies were COOL - follow the flies sound, find the body in th elong grass or behind a wall .. In those days you could often run from where you respawned back to your body. And sometimes jogging up a road somewhere - for no reason that you knew - you would find a player dead in the middle of the road with all his gear on him, or with his pockets mostly empty.. just dead & lying there and the flies buzzing. That was fun and atmospheric & immersive. It was a gOOD thing to have in the game.. but recovering your own gear was a bit easy and some players thought it was not correct to do it. The devs shortened the despawn of bodies down to the same despawn rate as any gear left lying around, so they stayed on the ground only a short time if no one was standing with them. That was a pity - for the immersion and gameplay. The Devs did it to lighten the server load. It was necessary.. on a map you could have 40 fully kitted corpses lying around for hours, and the server grinding it's bearings just to deal with that Now, if you are in a team, one or two will stay next to the body until their dead friend respawns and comes back to collect the gear. that's common. And that's how it goes : life is tough, death is tough, DayZ is supposed to be tougher. Generally : Anything you put in a game, some players will find a way round it.. As soon as persistence got going, loot stockpiling became a thing It became a bigtime gameplay. Now some folk want Rust style forts that are "safe" from other players.. Perma-Death and real Gear-Loss is fading into the background of this game. so - you can argue - why bother having game death at all.; instead, when you get shot you can just respawn WITH all the gear you collected still on your back. That will make the game Shorter and Quicker and Easier and simpler. Right? Kind of capture the flag. Because Death just isn't important anymore in DayZ. It's inconvenient to waste 15 mins getting back to your loot stash, but that's ALL. Death is just a waste of your playing time, right? It depends what you THINK DayZ is about - and what it was originally INTENDED to be about - and why it became SO FAMOUS when PermaDeath was real. Most players - if they designed the game they wanted - that game would be CRAP.. they wouldn't notice until they started playing their fantastic game that had everything THEY wanted in it.. then they'd realize they were in a CRAP game full of the CRAP they designed themselves. 95% of Players have NO idea how a game balances and how it WORKS or why it WORKS, even when they play it. So they ask for many things. Most of them would REALLY make the game Crapper.. but they don't understand why .. then when they spot how Crap it is, they go play some other game that does NOT have "what they want" in it - and THAT makes them happy. * say - Yoda wants to know - What happens in RUST when you die ?

Who actually build bases and repair cars?

Its a mod ("slight" & intelligent mod) .. no rules .. what you will notice is that the zombies turn any standard (non-event) house to house village loot search into something you need to be CAREFUL about.. they are just orthodox zombs, but that server has put the right number of them back into the game, to make an "uneventful ordinary" session into one that definitely keeps you alert.. and the mil bases are IMO just crazy. I'm FEARFUL to go in there, even with NO other players around. You'd need a team, or need to be PLENTY gunned up. It's a 1st person private shard, so you need a character for that server alone. AND so you start on the beach. It's worth it and you'll go back there. If you want to discuss it, or make suggestions - @Guy Smiley is THE MAN. He appreciates mail comments. < Ive found no probs playing with a ping of 170 and over, it's smooth, (sometimes a slight 1 second pause (max) say every 40 mins? - playing from France), persistence has worked beautifully 100% since I started. Zero probs punching out with zombs at that ping. Low pop right now, but I think it will build up as word gets around. Sneaking is GOOD tactics even when you get close to a town or roadblock. Mil weapons are difficult to get hold of - I go with a pump shotgun and a hand axe and knuckedusters. Makes a great change from the daily vanilla DayZ. Have to check what distance I can CRAWL past zombs on this server, but I don't want to be caught by 3 of them while I'm lying on my face, ya know? if your not a first person fan, put the free head move on a key by your movement keys, it works as long as you hold it down, then looks ahead when you release it, so you can look all around easily as you move. p.s. I'd dearly like to see someone TRY to build a fort round the front of a police station on THIS server. enjoy

    How to restore a backup

there is a way to set up an auto backup downloadable from Github , it uses the BI backup file DayZServer\mpmissions\dayzOffline.chernarusplus\storage_1 : in fact it uses : %serverroot%\mpmissions\dayzOffline.chernarusplus\storage_1 which should be the same thing. but the aim is to set up a time sequence (once an hour) for auto backups wuthout closing down the server. I guess you could use it just once if you needed it and then shut it down ? https://github.com/XxFri3ndlyxX/DayZ-Database-Auto-Backup & there is some discussion & links to alternatives around that page @ImpulZ - is the BI backup \storage_1 as it stands, intended to operate at any server restart ? Without server owner intervention?

Who actually build bases and repair cars?

Yes, I'm on the Village quite often in fact - I go under the name there of de Seingalt you just haven't noticed me yet. The name I use on your fave server is in direct reaction to your posts (my joke) - you can find it quickly in Wikipedia. In fact, the usual reason I'm NOT there is when the server is full and I can't be bother to wait (i.e. pretty often) Yes, I have read the RULES (a bit) and whenever I'm on I see players kicked with reasonable regularity. NO, I have not messed in the slightest with the startup private cooperative civilization. Frankly, GREATLY more to my preference is the Dead by Dawn server 172.96.140.114 - TRY IT - I have a high ping (and play at odd times because I'm transatlantic) but it runs very smoothly and has a good balance of day/night AND an amazing zombie population that makes every village a REAL event.. and makes the military loot locations scary & virtually hopper proof ( BI should use the technique on public servers).. & damn, those mil installations are MEMORABLE .. anyone in the USA who wants 1st person Survival and zombie danger should try this place out. Definitely. Also I can testify the persistence has worked 100% FINE since I started there. I'd recommend it to anyone. Drop in and check it out. : Zombies NON-negligable. GOOD place. Deserves more DARING players looking for the REAL game, and it shall gain a following, at my guess.

    How to restore a backup

https://www.vilayer.com/gaming-layer/gameinfo/dayz.php on this Vilayer DayZ page they blurb their "Data Manager" : "Allows you to keep control over your servers data such as player and world data. You can WIPE all data or BACKUP/RESTORE just the players or just the world or everything at the click of a single button. You can also schedule a function such as BACKUP or WIPE to run at anytime even if the server is running or turned off." How that works ? - At a guess you have to Backup before you can Restore? I believe it's not set automatically to backup unless you set it yourself. And if you have options to backup/restore either "world" or "players" or "everything" I don't see how you'd make those choices with a one-click. "Data Manager" should be in your owner's kit somewhere. * They also have PBO/Code Manager (as you know) "Completely automated pbo code system built into our ACP to allow instant code modifications via FTP / File Manager, simply restart the server and all custom code / pbo files will be compiled and moved to the server directory." So you can use that to send up copies of your custom pbo files to replace what's there (as you know) - but it's also useful to keep clean backups pf your own mods at home well ordered and up to date, in case Vilayer set you back to vanilla.. ( that crazy stuff HAPPENS) - & if you send in a ticket you get a off-the-list auto response, no action & end of story. They provide the vanilla, the rest is your problem. Vilayer really don't have a human being taking any time to answer tickets, IMO It's not in anyone's job description.

Who actually build bases and repair cars?

exactly true @lex__1 - if no serious structural conditions for base play are created - you end up with RUST {bloody AGAIN.. jeez } .. and on RUST totally ALL the fresh spawns complain like hell that they have NO CHANCE starting up unless they are ALREADY in a CLAN with a BIG BASE A couple of years back, everyone who wanted THAT (mil-style-Bases) left DayZ and went to play RUST instead (check back in the forum, see it happen). People are now saying we can use Rust-like bases to bring players back to DayZ .. imitate the imitators.. In DayZ we have houses.. It would have made GOOD SENSE to occupy houses and make them habitable, reinforce the doors and ground floor windows, sort out the cooking facilities, have in-game KEYS and traps, put firing slots in the walls.. the stuff any SANE bunch of survivors would do REBUILD and OCCUPY.... <if that's the way you want to play it..> Would have made GOOD sense even for the DayZ backstory & survival.. But pseudo-military-bases is a concept that is EASY TO UNDERSTAND and POPULAR because everyone has already heard of it, from Minecraft through to Rust, who cares how they WORK, dude? They're MIL and you can store stuff in them and FIGHT and RAID Except they work REALLY badly for that kind of gameplay - the "in your dreams" fun clan base-game. Now the folk who signed up for Bases are complaining 100% about Bases - with maybe TWO (count them) TWO exceptions? At present they don't give enough ADVANTAGE for the effort to create them.. it's probably for the same reason problems turned so fast up in H1Z1.. they are an idea stolen (borrowed on the cheap, OK?) from another game and dropped whole into the middle of this UNIQUE game - where, as Parazite says, they are just stuff to spend time messing about with - something to do that LOOKS cool in the photos but doesn't have any special PURPOSE ( unless you are on a private server where you can kick anyone who turns up with an axe. The ONE private server that has ONE huge base does NOT think bases are a problem.. it kicks anyone who doesn't agree. So THEY think "their base" is cool - and on a Private server with enforced RULES of behavior - it IS cool). But Xbox players, and Public server PC players don't have that luxury. Build a base for no particular reason except it looks cool and homey, and hope no one finds it while you're offline. That's how far the game-play around base building has got, right now. Meanwhile on Xbox, 50% of new players start off to BUILD BASES (without really looking at the rest of the game, except looting mil weapons) and 50% of new players KNOCK THEM DOWN for LOLs - so sooner or later someone has to work out detailed rules and actions as @lex__1 says, and seriously Balance ALL the gameplay elements necessary to FIT bases into a better & wider-possibility FUNCTIONAL DayZ WITHOUT destroying what made DayZ unique, and without destroying the play styles that made DayZ survival so amazing and interesting for so long - and spawned so many imitations. Let's not become an imitation of our own imitation, to pull in more new easy-play standard-game buyers. .. hmm? That would be setting a bad example for Xbox players - they already have plenty of those. Give them something BETTER. - just THIS weekend, so far there are THREE threads on this forum's Xbox section, saying effectively "Make DayZ Bases MORE LIKE RUST" Is that really the solution ?
  25. I mean when someone types " @ " followed without a space by the members name - they are shown a list of the possible members as they begin to type. You click on the listed name you want and that member is linked into your text. eg as I start to type @pilgr I have a selection list popup already, and I can choose @pilgrim* - it links to my account. but I can't type @Nayte and link it - you aint listed = guess you probably know = As you say it's not deliberate, perhaps ask @OrLoK to look into it ? I can't message you either, because on your profile page I can only select the precipitant from the same popup list. It says "cant receive mail" because you aren't on that list.
