Have been playing DayZ mod for about 100hrs so I'm fairly new but I know the basics. I'm 16 and I have a mic. Ability to record. Willing to use any VOIP program. I live in europe(estonia) and usual playtime is 1600-2100 (1200-latenight on weekends) on GMT +2.

Ok when I used some launch parameters along with -windows I finally got the game to function. I got to go to the menu where I changed my video settings to the usual I have. Then I went ingame. Took a long ass time to load but I got in. I looked around and saw that the models were very low res (polygon wise), trees in the distance were 2d and popping in and out whenever I moved a bit back and then forwards again. The building I was in was also invisible along with the other buildings which were extremely low res. (Like I was looking at them from a distance). Then I deleted the window parameter and got into the menu again. Resolution very low. I went to the settings to change em but my native res was nowhere to be found (1650x1050). I tried changing it to 1600x1200 but no effect whatsoever.

I did that. Then it just popped up with the logo but a text in the top left corner saying Waiting for host or something like that but nothing happened when I waited.

it all started when i messed with the distance values on the profile cfg... Whenever I press play on steam it loads up a black screen, then I have to wait 30sec-1min for the super slow/laggy bohemia logo, then another minute for the dayz logo and then onwards its just a black screen. I've tried waiting, redownloading/installing and removing all the cfg is my documentsbut nothing works.

Could someone explain how Geforce experience works? Does it only record supported games? I swear to god I saw someone on this forum post a DayZ vid which he said was recorded with Shadowplay. Whenever I open up DayZ with Shadowplay it shows the icon but theres a red line across it.

It's like the eating sounds were recorded from pigs eating.

I edited the values in the cfg about object/shadow distance and have been noticing alot of pop in, especially on the distant trees near the fog. Can anyone tell me the default values of the commandline that manipulates that?

Are you planning to make a group that you are going to play with a while, or just a one time thing?

When the mod days I didn't have it I just watched streams/ letsplays etc it felt so complicated. I haven't got to try out the mod one but I think SA one is way more newbie friendly, and more easily understandable. I hope they make it look better though ;)

I think I've seen a post about this on reddit too. If I remember correctly someone went there and there was a statue partially sunken into the ground.

I thought the slider was to adjust how loud people hear you? well okay

I've had tons of rubberbanding and lag after the last update, but never I have gotten stuck inside of a building. yet

I was literally about to post this, but not as in-depth as this. Very good and seeing this actually become a reality would be awesome! If i understood correctly the seasons are real life time dependant? Because thats what I was thinking at first. That would create a little more work for the devs to roll out the season patches, but I think it would be worth it. Take my beans!
