Maybe I want to put the Handcuffs and the Handcuff Keys in my hotbar, maybe I want to put a defibrilator in my hotbar for the upcoming patch. Maybe I want to be able to use a gas stove or find the meat from the animals I've hunted in my hotbar. The fact that this is a client side issue doesn't matter to you because you seem know everything there is to know.

I tried to search this but the search functionality of the mobile version of this site sucks a little bit. I seem to run out of hot bar space quickly. I'd like a simple bind (i.e. Lctrl+ wheel up/down) to switch quickly between 2 or 3 different sets of hot bars thus allowing 30 or so different item types to be stored.

Seems green magpull parts dont render properly either. Never painted mine, just found them as green. They can be hard to tell because mine weren't flickering, but if you look close you can see that alot of detail is missing on those particular attachments. You can replace them with the exact same item and will be fine until you login again. They fail to render once you login with them. Ive switched to original buttstock and handguard and havent has any more issues. Edit: my bad, didn't realize I posted this in this thread already and I'm on mobile cant delete post.

I was able to "fix" my frame rate drop. I had a few items in my inventory that weren't rendering properly so I dumped them. that didn't help. I went back through my inventory and discovered some of my attachments weren't rendering properly either but they were not flickering like the other items. It was a mag pull buttstock and handguard (green). It was hard to tell at first because of the color but they were definitely not rendered right. I found new handguard and buttstock (green magpull) and switched them for the glitched ones on my rifle. That worked until I reconnected to the server. They didn't render properly upon login so I ditched them completely for stock attachments and haven't had an issue since. TL;DR check for improperly rendered items in inventory, even attachments. Green attachments can be hard to tell if glitched or not.

I've screwed around with this a little bit. I had 2 parts to the M4 that were not rendering properly, MagPull Buttstock and MagPull Handguard (both green) I dropped these parts, replaced them with standard grip and buttstock, reset my server and seemed to fix it for me. Then I went back and found new magpull parts (green again) for the M4, everything seemed to work fine. I reconnected to the server and the MP parts weren't rendering properly and causing this issue again. So I'd say stay away from the magpull parts for now, atleast the green ones, seems to be a problem with them. I also had a can of SPITE that wasn't rendering properly in my inventory, I got rid of that too. Not sure if it was involved but whatever. Edit: Forgot to mention. When these glitched out parts were sitting on the ground they were causing lag whenever I went near them. So if you get around someone who's causing your FPS to bottom out, they might have something on them that's not rendering properly and sucking up everyones video memory or something.

Yes this happens to me now too. I haven't played since before the new patch(es), last version I was playing was 11456 or w/e. Now when I play I run for about 5 minutes and get a ridiculous drop in framerate. It's so bad that the game becomes unplayable as it takes me a good 20 seconds to just look from left to right. I double checked all my gear to make sure I didn't have any 60 round stacks of 5.56 or boxes inside boxes (which I was told might cause this) and I didn't have any of these things. I tried setting my video settings all the way down and get the same thing. I'm not sure if it's related but my Green Magpull Handguard and green magpul buttstock on the M4 are also blinking/flashing as if it's having trouble rendering. It might be what is causing it or a symptom of the problem. I don't know but hopefully someone can look into this because as of now I can't operate my character.

As of right now you can't set the solar cycles through the administration console of the servers. I currently keep my server set to Noon because I feel your pain. I hate to get off work and just because it's actually night time where I live, most servers are stuck at night. Ever since this went live, every server I join resets me to the beach as a fresh spawn. Even the server that I was on, running for an hour just to find a fire axe then I get a server reset so I rejoin the same server and then BAM: Back on the beach as a freshspawn. Not awesome, fix that please. Just logged 3 hours of play and I am still a freshspawn.

I have done this countless times and never suffered anything worse than bruised elbows and knees.

Most fields I've seen in DayZ have high grass in them. You going prone quickly will take you out of the snipers sights. You then must quickly dash for a few seconds and go prone again. An excellent shooter will probably hit you before you realize they are there but if you get lucky and he misses you can now repeat this rushing technique to get to the tree line or some actual cover. If you try this tactic now you end up stopping, dropping to the ground, then slowly standing up, hesitating, then sprinting again. ^ this is harder to shoot in tall grass than running in circles and zig zaging.

When you are crossing an open field and come under fire you should immediately go into the prone position. Doing this on DayZ causes your character to stop and slowly lay flat. I've tried binding the commands "Up" and "Down" but these commands seem to function the same as normal "Prone" and "Stand". If you were to be getting shot at and could (say double tap Z) to fall/dive to the ground I might have possibly avoided death by sniper many times. This could add an element of realism to the game as this tactic is actually trained and used by military forces (see: 3 to 5 second rush or Individual Movement Techniques) Thanks and if this is already a function I must have missed it somewhere.
